Enrich and Fannie have been staying together on the ship for a while now. Their non-temporic friends have been locked in a deep sleep for about half a dirbacycle (short for dirtball cycle, which is approximately 1.7 months in earth time measurements). While such a long slumber shouldn't be too perilous for a god tier, it's still worrying. Enrich had returned back to the bottle and often times Fannie has had to pick her up from the bar she found at the spaceport. Eventually she finally got kicked out after going over the serving limit for the 5th visit in a row. In between dealing with Enrich's crippling alcoholism however, Fannie has been using this quiet stretch of time to focus on her writing. Using what anecdotal material she could find on the ship, from asking those still awake and occasionally peeking into the rooms of those asleep, she's managed to translate quite a bit of her new perspective on the classic lore into written form. That being said, her room is filled with stacks of paper (genuine real paper, to make sure her writing survives beyond the dream), containing her various drafts and manuscripts.
As of late, dark blotchy patches have been seen growing larger in the night sky, submerging the colors into their dark grasp. A message had warned them about something similar, and for the time being they've managed to stay out of their reach. But for how much longer?
How long until they are swallowed by those nightmarish enigmas of the void?
Not even Time can tell. And that's what worries them.

Elsey has definitely seen better days.
She hasn't slept. She hasn't even eaten anything. She could only keep watch of both the ship and the area surrounding it. The dark splotches that have appeared in the vast expanse of space has only made made this stressful turn of events worse.
When is her friend coming back? When will this ordeal be over?
She doesn't know. And it's driving her to the edge.

Fannie, having just dragged Enrich to bed after finding her back at the bottle once again (Fannie tried to replace her beer with plain water but she got placebo drunk off the imagined beer anyways, who knew?), is taking a moment to check on everyone. With three all locked in a deep sleep, there's gotta be something done for them, right? Though it seems thanks to their semidivine god tier status that they could probably sleep for years without detriment... probably. Stories about how the fallen heir's grand slumber mentioned that he had a caregiver who was spared from the wrath of Chronos thanks to his services, which would make one assume that he required medical care while in that deep sleep.
Though perhaps it is the fact that time has not yet been restarted that has prevented any sort of unsightly messes or deterioration from any of the three sleepers. Seth did mention that he was planning on correcting the progression of time before he fell under that spell of continued sleep. Perhaps it was for the best that it has not happened yet...
But what about Elsey?
Fannie goes off down the hall to seek her out, just to check on her.

The door to her room is ajar, it's apparent that the sound of what seems like rattling is emanating from the opening.
There's also what seems like a pale glow pouring out of it as well.

Being drawn towards the rattling noise, Fannie walks towards the slightly open door. "Lady Elsey, are you there?" She calls into the mysteriously lit room as she pushes the door open.
Something about this is giving her some bad vibes...

Theta finally wakes up after who knows long of resting on one of the many couches in the lounge. It's quiet, aside from Enrich's groanings at one of the tables. Has it been a string of hangovers or just one hangover? Who knows. Then again, Theta's never touched the bottle in his life. Never got that far. Probably for the best. He notices the christmas tree, and most of its presents are still there. He half expects Rudolph to walk out from behind it, but that doesn't happen. Theta is really starting to miss the other seths. Not to mention Alpha Seth. Out of curiosity, he checks the presents to see which of them are left. Surprisingly, there's one specifically labeled for him. From Alpha. Theta tears the wrapping paper away from the package and opens up the box. It's an old brass lantern. A real one. Made of unshakably real materials. Leave it to Alpha Seth to get him exactly what he wanted. Theta decides to try it out. Fading back into pure spirit form, he enters the lantern. It feels... alright. He slips out of the lantern and re-applies his usual form. He can rest again later. For now, there's some other things he wants to do. Theta picks up and carries the empty brass lantern with him as he walks to the door. It doesn't seem like Enrich is paying much attention. A short walk, powered by his own gratitude, and Theta arrives at Alpha's door. He opens it and walks inside.
Alpha Seth is asleep in bed. He's probably only been sleeping about an hour or two from his perspective. Theta watches his Alpha counterpart for a little while. He's still breathing, so that's good. He seems to be tossing and turning a bit however. A bad dream maybe? Theta wonders if he should intervene. Considering how nice he was to get him a real lantern, he practically owes him. Theta has made his decision. He'll follow Seth into his dreams and assist him there. He puts his ghostly white hand into Alpha's warm pale hand. For some odd reason, it feels as if he's not alone. There's others connected to him. Mainly Thoren. He tries to communicate to Seth and/or Thoren through this method, but not much happens, aside from a slight chill. It must be a pretty deep dream. Theta takes a moment to write a note before doing anything else. On real paper with a real pen. With the note in place, Theta grabs Alpha's hand again and focuses on Alpha's projected location. It's difficult to ascertain, but something seems to beckon him past some sort of point of no return. ...he's having second thoughts about this though. Theta lets go and decides to wait for a couple minutes first. Maybe it's best that a seth is still active over here, just in case.

Despite the glowing, Elsey's room is quite, quite dark.
The glowing seems to be coming from a large, holographic screen that seems to detail the ship's health and whatnot. The glowing is the only indicator that Elsey is in the room.
And she doesn't look well. At all.
She's sprawled out on the floor as if she'd fallen out of it, her legs still rested on the bed. Her hair is in a ridiculous mess, and it looks almost...liquid-ish. While hard to notice in detail, her face in the glow of the screen is an expression that's beyond just normal tired-ness. She almost looks dead, if it were not for her heavy breathing...which seems to be where the rattling is coming from.
It doesn't look like she's noticed Fannie at all.

Fannie's heart nearly skips a beat as she stands there in shock. This is not good. This is not good at all.
She has to do something for Lady Elsey!
"Lady Elsey! Your grandness!" She rushes to her side, making sure to rub her own hands together for extra warmth before trying to help her sit up.
It's generally accepted in common temporic tradition that when tending to another who is ill, you should be as warm as possible to ward off Winter. It's more of a folk remedy/old guardian's tale, but customs like that don't fade so easily.
"Can I get anything for you? a glass of lemon water? tea? cough syrup?" Fannie tries not to jitter too much from the stress, though she's still quite shaky. To see an incarnation of the First Temporic in such poor shape... it's hard to bear the sight.

"....f....fannie...?"
Elsey groggily turns to her as she tries to set her in a less...sloppy position.
She looks even worse up close...Has she ever slept during these past few...moments? Days? Weeks?
"kat...where's kat...its....its been so long...its been...months..."
...Months. She's been gone for that long. The witch starts to tremble. Perhaps the worst has finally happened.

Fannie tries to keep her breathing stable despite the worryingly terrifying look on Elsey's face.
Months? It certainly doesn't seem like its been months. At least for her.
"...months? It feels like its been mere days, perhaps a week..."
She tries to comfort Elsey as she begins shaking too; holding her hand and keeping an arm around her.
"Elsey... you mustn't give up hope... I believe she's still out there. If there's anything I learned from her it's that miracles are possible." Fannie is trying to hold back tears, though it's difficult in this moment. "Perhaps the uneven time that surrounds us... perhaps it has worked in her favor? Seth and the others have not needed maintenance all during this odd stretch..." She looks again at Elsey, though it's difficult in her current state. "But you... you need to focus on caring for yourself. Kat would not like to see her dear friend worried to shambles for her sake... let me help you, Elsey. Please..."

Small amounts of darkness are leaking from the box.
Charles has not come through it.

Enrich gains enough lucidity to notice the box leaking darkness and quickly chucks it through the doorway leading to the spaceport, and slams the door shut.
She does not want to deal with that shit today.

"i've seen her die so many times in a multitude of timelines, fannie..."
Elsey starts to sob.
"i'm scared...she's out there, and i can't reach her...not to mention the others...
...i...i feel so powerless here..."

"Maybe we can't do much, but at least we can be here for each other..." Fannie gives Elsey a hug, and just holds her as long as she needs it.

Theta pauses for a moment. He can sense another source of life in a nearby room. Just moments before it seemed quite weak in that room, but with the addition of another there, it seems the first is ever so stronger. Maybe he should tell them what he's doing first.
Theta picks up his lantern and walks out the door, straight towards the room with the other detected life.
Elsey's room. Feeling polite, and not wanting to scare anybody too badly, he knocks on the open door. He should probably take off his robes, considering how weak one of them is (it's considered rude for a reaper to show up ahead of schedule), but that would take extra effort.
"hey, you girls in there?"
