[Area] Necropolis, Underworld

"if you say so." Theta puts his laptop away and opens the door for Medi and her friend.
As soon as they leave the nurse's office he leads the way towards the front exit of the school.

They continue walking.
"You know, even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to change a Seth's mind about something like this. It tends to happen this way, no matter how counterproductive it winds up going. Fuck, I even dragged around a small group of seths to find the one that could destroy the old man myself. Alpha and Schrodinger were the only reason why he was saved from premature erasure."
They reach the outside of the school. Theta walks up to the beaches boat and captchalogues it away for later. He resumes walking down the sidewalk, following the thin crowd of curious spirits also on their way there.
"Also, why do you and Medi insist on holding onto this guilt for so long? You do realize that not letting go is just gonna impede your ability to be happy? Death is supposed to be about closure, after all..."

Theta grumbles.
"That doesn't answer my question. Maybe it does though. Maybe your 'Paradise' blinded you two from your problems to the point where you didn't even try to solve them. I know this is harsh, but it feels like you and Medi need someone to say it."

"It's said that the most active ghosts are those with strong desires, feelings, or obligations. The phrase 'unfinished business' tends to get thrown around quite a bit. I thought I could help fulfill whatever seemed to be holding onto Medi. She expressed a desire to speak to the man who had caused her enough pain to wish for death. Leading her to see him, led to only further pain, as you can plainly see. Do note that I'm only taking the two of you to the site of the explosion because there's a pretty fucking high chance that he's been erased by it, which might bring some level of satisfaction without having to deal with his shitty attitude."

It seems at this point they have reached the turn-off onto the main road, the one with the poppies. The masses continue to wander up the street. Surprisingly none have tried to step on the flowers at all, opting to walk around them.

"I have to at least try. There can't possibly be nothing left that can help you. Why are you so stubborn?"
Theta takes a second to check the area.
"Looks like we're getting pretty close."

Pale silhouettes and shadows can be seen walking onward towards the site of the explosion. It isn't too far up ahead, probably just a couple buildings away.

"Maybe I am, but at least it's for the right reasons. Don't you wanna be happy?"
Theta looks back at Medi and the girl.
"I know I'd like to see the both of you able to be happy. Sometimes you gotta know when to just... let go. Being weighed down by your past can be pretty miserable. Believe me, I've seen plenty of Seths get dragged down that way. But, it doesn't have to linger forever."

Theta isn't sure what to say. He's not sure if anything he says will even be listened to. Medi seems determined to wallow in her own misery.

Soon enough though, they arrive at their destination.

A deep desolate crater, largely contained by the boundaries of the invisible shields and moat and such, lies straight ahead.
The townsfolk who have made the pilgrimage stand around the edge of the massive hole in the ground.

What could have done this? And in the prison, of all places?

"What the fuck..."

The girl looks to the massive catastrophe that was once a prison.

There's nothing. No feelings, no questions, no answers.

Well, there is one question.

"...I wonder how someone managed to blow it up, anyway? I thought this place was tighter than fate's red string."
