[Area] Necropolis, Underworld

"I promise we'll continue to try to take good care of her." Theta tells Hypnos. He wonders about the other kats, considering they were from the same bubble that was destroyed. Where will they go? They need a new home just as much as Medi did. Maybe he can work out some paperwork at town hall to get them relocated officially?

Link Seth crushes the empty soda cup in his hand. He's still trying to calm down, vaguely. It's hard when there's so much injustice to be mad about...

"...why did he say what?" Theta asks for clarification.

Link Seth throws the cup into the trash can. "I think she means why he claimed to love her. I know why. I've known him long enough to know that he's a master of lies. He will string any gullible victim along for as long as he needs them, and then, he abandons them the moment they're no longer useful for his bullshit schemes. I don't believe a word of his sob story, and you shouldn't let it get to you, Medi. He will destroy you before he shows you any true feelings. He doesn't love anyone except for himself. He's not worth being devoted towards."

Theta looks over at Medi, and then over at Link Seth. "I think you fucked up there. She doesn't need to hear something like that, especially while she's in this state."

Link Seth looks down at her in bed. "...She deserves to know the truth. She doesn't need to be chasing after someone that destructive."

"It's a little late for that. And what ever happened to your whole 'breaking them down won't heal them' thing from earlier?"

"This is different. This is treading new ground, not revisiting old pain."

"But it's clearly causing old pain to resurface! The only difference between our methods was in the technique!"

A pause. Link Seth balls up his fists and stares menacingly down at the floor.
"...You know what? I'm gonna go after Chronos myself. If I can do something against him... maybe it'll make Medi happy. She deserves better."

"Fine then, go on your own, see how far you get before you reach donetier again." Theta crosses his arms and glances away.

Link Seth then whips up and points at Theta with great fervor. "You'll see. I WILL FUCKING AVENGE HER!" he yells out as he walks out of the nurse's office.
He slams the door behind him.
The emotometer jumps before going back down to average background levels. The substitute nurse is relieved to finally have that brash troublemaker out of the area.

Link Seth stomps out of the school as random passerby students stare and watch. Before even reaching the overturned boat on the sidewalk, he jumps up and flies off with a pair of black feathered wings that had sprouted from his back.
He quickly soars away from Necropolis, towards the clock tower in the east.

Theta is shocked to see the horned girl take Hypnos's place.
"wh-what are you doing here?"

"...I've seen pictures of you before. In the diary." Theta pulls out an unlinked copy of Thoren's diary and turns it to a certain page.
"You're the girl that she drew, the supposed ideal daughter of Chronos. I believe others of my template have seen other versions of you, referring to those of your template as 'Elsey'. Does that sound accurate, if you might happen to know those things?"

Theta is just appalled at this sinister girl's poisonous words. How could anyone just say something like that? Then he remembers, this figure is a manifestation of the darkness in her heart. Of course she's going to give voice to all of her worst thoughts. But, Theta isn't exactly one to think everything through carefully, especially when riled up.
He closes the diary and puts it away.
"There's only one thing I would call you after hearing such a sting of hurtful insults. Vile. Absolutely vile."
Theta glares at the horned girl.
"And for your information, I've been trying to help her. I may not be a psychological expert, but I've been trying to do what I can for her. I've let her stay in my home after hers became null and void. My sleeping brother has tried to be kind to her too. He gave her his prized chainsaw to protect herself with. His prized chainsaw that he never lets anyone else touch! The link seth that just left the room? His judgement's been clouded by hate and anger since getting in contact with his father. Before that though, he would stop at nothing to make sure she was okay, and even in his current state, his intentions are for her happiness, as foreign as it sounds to you."
He points at her somewhat weaker than expected. "So don't you ever say that we're trying to treat her like garbage, because we aren't!"

"Not every worst-case winds up happening, you know. With an attitude like that, any result could lead to disappointment. I'm sure that there's others besides seth who will accept her, even with the mistakes she's been led into."
"And about this 'too nice' bullshit, we're nice to her because she deserves to have better than the constant tragedy she's put through. And you want to know why? Because she has the capacity to return kindness to those who wouldn't otherwise receive it! While this carries inherent risk, it makes her a better person than most."
Theta looks away for a moment.
"I know for a fact that if someone like her were nice to me while I was alive... I would have had something worth living for."
