Hearing Elsey's question, Fannie smiles slyly before beginning to go off on a tangent. "Why it was hinted in the texts? I believe it might have something to do with setting up for the main story that she is involved in. To establish what they would have been capable of is she did not break his heart, and ironically if he still had one in the first place. The text tends to draw a lot of parallels between Chronos and the fallen heir, as if they were meant to be the same person. It's clear that they actually aren't, as the heir betrays his father's wishes and begins to live his life in a different direction."
Meanwhile upstairs, the maid has finished packing and has put on some inconspicuous clothing. She begins to walk down the hall towards the stairs...

"Y-yes, I guess we should go..." Kat nods.
Elsey seems to look very quizzical. "Er...Interesting. Very interesting. A little strange...but interesting, I guess?"

Seth steps back from the bar and faces the party. "Alright, we're all together now. Let's get moving." He glances over at Cheshire. "Thank you for all you've done for us. I'd like to show my gratitude." He turns around and uncaptchas something small where the crowd can't see, and then turns back to face Cheshire once again, now with something in his hand. It's a polished red stone. "I'd like you to have this. It's a rare and precious stone from a faraway place. Treasure it always." Seth offers the stone to Cheshire.

Cheshire accepts the red stone from Seth. "I will. I wish you a fortuitous future."
The maid walks down the stairs and notices the party right away. Damn it. She tries to blend into the crowd, though it might not work very well. She needs to wait for an opportune moment to strike.

Unfortunately for the Maid, Elsey seems to be glaring right at her. With a stare that could almost kill. She doesn't seem to be doing anything else aside from the death glare. But the fact that she's staring right at the maid is enough to assume that she will do something if they try any funny business.
Kat bows lightly towards the bartender before leaving. "Thank you for your business, I hope we didn't bother you or your patrons too much.."

Niki has been listening to Fannie's rant on some of the finer points of Grand Tale analysis. It's interesting to hear a different viewpoint on these things, though perhaps it seems a little too... clinical maybe? As if the characters in their legends weren't really regarded as real people or something. That part rubs her the wrong way but it's mostly just a passing thought. After Seth's order to move out, she makes her way to the door to leave with the others.

The maid is taken aback by the First Temporic's glare. Her doubts about her mission have strengthened. She tries to find an empty table to sit at, preferably away from Elsey's judgmental gaze. She's definitely not going to do anything while she's around.
"All's fine as long as the customers are still around. Feel free to come back next time you're in town." The bartender smiles as she walks away.
"Yeah. The way it's often interpreted is that all of the others in the stories are depicted as great for the sake of making Chronos look greater in comparison, or as an explanation for why he had become so great." Fannie notices the group is beginning to leave and follows them. "I swear, I could talk all day and night about this kind of material..."
Cheshire watches them leave as they hold the red stone. They wonder if they'll ever meet an opponent like Seth ever again.

Seth takes off with the group and makes his way out the door. Late afternoon if the sun's position is any indication. It's hard to tell how late exactly, due to lacking a horn. It's at this point that Seth realizes something: they have no idea where they're going. He turns to face the group. "Alright, where the fuck should our next stop be?"

Kat ponders the possibilities. "Well, we could try and get back and bring our companion home..."
Elsey interjects, still sort of staring at the entrance to the building they came from. "But considering the events that happened, I don't think leaving her alone is a safe idea." "Good point...Not to mention, I'm not even sure when we are..."

Niki checks her glassestop for some dates. "According to the message board software, We're at month 2, day 49 year 015 since the last date-defining epoch. If I remember correctly, year 1 was when the hourglass of Hourglass City was completed. the date we were at previously was month 5, day 63, year 448. If we're going to jump to Fannie's native timeframe, it should be somewhere where other people won't see us appear or disappear. ->" She thinks a little bit more. "There is one problem though: how are we going to escape from a maid of time? ->"

"Aw, do I have to go home? I was hoping to tag along for a little while, maybe visit some other places, or other times maybe." Fannie pouts a little. "Besides, don't you guys still need to hide the message board URL on a stone tablet in that one city to complete the prophecy?"
Meanwhile, the maid nervously waits inside the bar. She does not want to feel the wrath of Elsey.

"Wait, you think we're the ones who dropped that stone tablet?" "It's a possibility, Elsey."
Elsey crosses her arms.
"It'd be kind of weird to just drop it just because it has to be found at some point." "It will probably be less weird by the time we do, though. It almost always seemed to be the case...I think." Kat scratches the back of her head, a little embarrassed that she may have forgotten the more...complicated points of time and timelines. To her defense, though, it's been so long since she had to worry about those kinds of things.
Elsey turns to look at Fannie. "Well, we definitely owe you a lot for what you've been through because of us...I guess we should make it up to you. But the second it gets too dangerous, we're going back." "Where is that place where your parent found the tablet, miss...?"

Fannie stops to think for a moment. "What was the name of that town again... oh! Tradewinds town! I'm not sure of the exact place in that town though. Maybe if we stopped by there in the present to figure out where the dig site is we could narrow down our search that way..." She looks up and around for a moment. "You know, if we take the trip there while in my time, we could probably catch a bus there."

Niki lends her opinion. "After all the walking and period costumes, I think that would probably be a better idea than going there by foot in this timeframe. ->"
