Niki expands the number sphere to include Nak and Kimura. The sphere turns opaque and disappears with the three of them.
5 something pm...
Niki, Kimura, and Nak appear in the same exact spots, a few hours earlier. there appears to be smoke coming from the bar's fireplace, not to mention at least some light is on over there.
"Huh, looks like there's somebody in the bar. Stick around here, I'll check it out. ➜" She walks towards the bar and enters through the front door.
Niki peeks in and notices Seth and Kat. Looks like Kat has her illusionthingie on. They look perfect for eachother. It's almost a shame it's only an illusion. But with the way Seth seems to be actually smiling for once... Niki can't help but giggle a little.
"hehe... Hey guys, having fun over there? ➜"

Seth is shocked to hear another voice. He looks over and notices Niki in the door. To the untrained eye it would seem she's just an average human, but really she has the ability to rend time itself in her wake.
Wait. That's it.
Seth looks over at Kat again. He suddenly remembers she's usually a human.
That's what was bugging him this entire time! He was so excited he forgot that there's usually an entire fucking species barrier between them. How could he be so fucking stupid?!
"...what do you want?!" He glares at Niki, vaguely blaming the moment being ruined on her.

Niki jumps a little and hides behind the inner door. After a second to gather her wits, she perilously walks back into view.
"um, Kim and Nak are right outside, and they're planning on joining us. on the mission. A-are you guys ready? ➜"

Seth seems a bit pissed but can't stay mad for too long. Not with Kat's feelings hurt. He can't be snapping around her, of all people.
"Kat, it's... alright. It's just, I wanted to believe, I guess. There is a reason why I want to go to Korous besides just protecting you."
He looks out the window at the already dark sky. Maybe he'll finally find some place where he truly feels like he belongs out there. Somewhere in this realm preferably.
Seth curtly replies to Niki.
"We should be ready. Let's join the others now."

Seth nods, and then faces towards the fireplace.
"I gotta put out this fire first."
He walks over and with the fireplace shovel, separates the burning logs, rolling them over so the burning parts are more submerged, covers it with ashes, and then with a snap of the finger, speeds up time on the fire so it will die down faster.
After about an hour of concentrated waiting in one minute, he finishes it off with another shovelful of fireplace ashes.
It's almost a shame that fire had to go out so quickly, but they have places to go, and it's not a good idea to leave a fire burning unattended. Seth captchalogues a still slightly glowing chunk of charcoal to remember it by.
"Alright, now we can go."
Seth walks towards the door, right past Niki. He does his best to ignore her.

Niki waits for Seth to go out the door and then follows him out, not too close though. She's still a bit shaken by his outburst, but is willing to put it aside for the sake of the mission. Elsey needs to be rescued before something terrible happens to her.
She walks back outside into the square to meet up with the others.
"Alright guys, I think we got enough of the crew here for this mission. ➜"
Niki looks towards the bar to check for Kat, and then begins debriefing the couple of weirdos that showed up.
"Long story short: Elsey's stuck between a rock and a hard place, and there's a pretty high chance she's been kidnapped by the Korousian Illuminati, or whatever they call themselves. Never been able to get close enough or get any audio to figure it out. Either way, I'm pretty sure some sorta secret society like that is involved here. The last road I saw her and the driver go on is one I've seen at other times in my studies. It's been there for as long as Canyon City itself, and it's a private road that leads straight to their secret base. Usually the stuff around there is pretty heavily encrypted for some protective reason. Earlier I was trying to view close to where normal viewport stuff starts to cut off and it blew up in my face. It said it was a time paradox error, but I have a feeling it was something else related to the jammers they apparently have over there. ➜"
Niki takes a deep breath. That was way too much talking for being in public.
"Anyways, Kat's got the anchor we need to get there quick, as well as the magical disguise accessories you guys can use to blend in. Apparently they only stop working if you take off the accessory or tell them your true identity or whatever. As a note, it's customary to always have your neck covered in public over there, so that's why most of them are scarves. We should try to do this with as few upsets as possible, though it's less important since it's near the butt end of their civilization's timeline, with about 15 of our years left on their clock. Just try not to mess with any of the 'chosen ones', since they're the ones being fed all the commands from the past. I don't know all of them, but I do know there's quite a few of them spread out across their timeline. Knowing how important this place is, they probably got at least 2 of them there. ➜"
Another deep breath. She's not used to talking this much at all.
"So... any questions before we get going? ➜"

Nak's claw/hand immediately shoots up after the prompting.

"We can't just rush down there and crash the party immediately. If they found out we were the hornless warriors and the fallen heir, they'd all be against us, especially in that particular group. Also, I don't want there to be too much interference with them, and a ton of attention is the last thing we need chasing after us. ➜"
"In terms of how the disguises work, they seem to work with what you have combined with how you want them to see you as kinda. Like, when I put mine on... ➜"
Niki uncapchas a pair of fake horns on a headband and puts them on, allowing the illusion to activate. Upon blinking, her skin tone, eye type, ear shape, and facial structure seems to have been changed.
"...You can see not very much has changed, but it works pretty well. As for how it'll work with you, I'm guessing it'll depend upon your interpretation? I think you might be a little short... Though maybe you could pull off looking like a kid or a really short person. They tend to base a lot of judgements on the attributes of their horns, which I could probably talk about for a while... ➜"
Niki takes a deep breath. You'd think someone with as much to say as her would be more used to talking for a while.
"...But the bottom line is, if they look nice, they'll treat you fairly decently. If they're short, they'll treat you like a child. If they're broken, they'll treat you like a dude with too many tattoos, which is to say, it depends on the crowd but is mostly associated with rough and tough types that might be a little clumsy. Any other questions, or are we clear enough to continue? ➜"

Seth looks around. None of the group seems to be saying anything.
Despite the implications that they would all be against him, his determination does not falter. He has to see this place for himself.
"Can we get going soon? We've been waiting around long enough."

"........right." Having totally been paying attention and not being distracted by thoughts of Geckoslapped's unconfirmed demise, he takes a scarf and puts it on.
When the illusion activates, his tail and face markings seem to have vanished, dog-ears replaced by average-looking horns of roughly the same size, skin tone changed appropriately, and his questionably-existant beard has been partially obscured by the scarf. Notably, his outfit is still the same adventurer thing, and... actually, he wasn't wearing his straw hat thing to begin with, so no issues there. ((an updated ref is a thing i need to draw at some point))
"well, I'm ready for this jelly."

Seth is suddenly overflowing with fighting spirit. While he's able to keep his actions restrained in the abscence of an enemy, he's quite loud and jumpy right now.
"LETS BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF WHOEVER KIDNAPPED ELSEY! WHO'S WITH ME?"

Nak snatches and hastily curls the scarf around from the back of his head to the front of his snout which seems to obscure it's shape just enough to pass as something that's not an elongated jaw bone. The illusionary spell places a short pair of reddish horns prodding out to the side of his scalp in such a way that any hat-wearing wouldn't infringe on the maximum horn-showing efficiency.
"done now. time for go and beat horn planet up"

"Um..... I'm not sure if I've ever seen a red one... Like, I think there's a story over there featuring a little red horned dude that you might kinda fit the description on, but I'm not so sure about blending in... ➜"
