Mei travels along said trail to the transportalizer. Once she reaches the pad, she turns around to face Thoren for a moment.
"...Thank you. I'll try to not get into anymore mishaps from now on." Mei hops up onto the pad. "Take care, Thoren! I will see you later!"
She waved goodbye. And with that, she was off. Back to her home village of Kanjaweii, safe and sound.

September 10th, 2020
It's just another day in Charcherry, with a fair amount of activity at the bar. However, this particular thing isn't going to occur at the bar.
At Nick's Cabin, Nick is tiredly staring at their laptop screen, still paralyzed by all the work they have to do for one of their game projects soon to be released.
Suddenly, their phone vibrates.
A text message.
They pick up their phone and read the message.
The Land of Holes and Numbers... Nick has read River's diary entries about that place. A place of rugged and cavernous terrain with very little vegetation, and a great deal of underlings.
Not exactly the best place to explore alone, but perhaps with another it wouldn't be too perilous.
Nick types back a reply.
Nick hits the send button, and waits.

Minutes pass... and eventually an answer.
A long sigh. It seems they're adamant about this trip.
After a long moment of thought, Nick begins typing.
Nick then gets up from their chair to stretch. Maybe they could use some time to get used to less horror-themed combat situations.
They walk out of the project room to their own room just down the hall.
They'll need to prepare for an outing.
