Thoren hears the voice and immediately looks for the source, scanning the area. "Who is that?" He is mildly alarmed, though tries to keep calmer than usual so as to not startle Raine on the other end.

The spirit looks to Thoren as he sat on the ledge of the end game door.
"Who is Anyone?"
He replies mysteriously.

Thoren spots the spirit on top of the endgame door. "...so you're one of those fruitcakes. Wait, are you even alive? How the fuck are you even holding together there?"

"How is anyone alive?" The spirit rolls the knob around on it's hand. "The will power... the ego... the personality of all those that came after me..."

Thoren thinks a little about this... thing's words. "That doesn't answer anything. I'm guessing you're not the pizza delivery guy. That's not due for another hour and 38 kilometers."
Something about the figure's aura and damaged arm reminds him of Omega, but at the same time it doesn't seem to be acting like that man or monster at all. Perhaps something... left behind? Something that remained after his soul was taken and his body destroyed? Who or what is or was this man shaped enigma?
"...If I ask you where that doorway leads, are you gonna turn it into another bullshit philosophical open ended question?"

"How quick the small-minded are to rationalize anything resembling thought as pseudophilosophical bullshit..."
The figure spins the knob on an angle, supporting it with one figure as its stark white mouth spreads in a wide smile. Too wide.
"It might be. It probably is, but even so. You want a simple answer, give it yourself. Want another one, I'm here." The figure taps its head with a finger, smile shrunken to a less unnatural size as it keeps its eyes on Thoren.

Something seems to have changed. Thoren can't quite place it, but the most he can get out of it is that this figure is pissing him off in a slightly different manner than before. Maybe he's just being too sensitive about trying to figure something out here. "Whatever." Thoren sits down on the ground cross-legged, trying to lend most of his focus towards Raine in order to assist her in battle as much as possible. "I think I'll do something a little more productive than give you any satisfaction." He closes his eyes and tries to clear his mind a little. He keeps randomly remembering old memories between errant thoughts however.

Nora, rested now, makes her way upwards. She ascends the castle and makes it to the bus. Wow... This was it wasn't it. She shakes her head and focuses her sights on the... Thing in front of the door. She doesn't say anythihng. She just stares.

"And how quick the small-minded are to abandon curiosity when a vestige of thought is required to sate it."
The figure drums its fingers along the door below it, eyes gaining a bit of space between them as they seem to focus on both Thoren and the newcomer Nora.
"I am sorry I won't spoon-feed you an answer. But you give me all the fun I could ever need by being so entertainingly petulant in your manner. So maybe I will in this moment, and the future when it deigns me, be abundantly clear. You should ask only the questions you are incapable of puzzling an answer to or beginning conclusion for. In that case you might have better luck receiving an answer, and also live a better life where you need not be hand-held quite as often."
"And you... Girl. You have the opposite problem, wherein you talk too little. Tell me... something, anything, the details matter not so long as the fruits of conversation might spring from it. Perhaps you'll be more fun than the boy, though you have a long way to go to that end." The smile one the side of the figure's face Nora can see widens.

Thoren is getting quite a headache at this point. Come to think of it, why the fuck is he able to get a headache as a robot? He assumes it's like how some older computers take way too fucking long to load things and lock up when you try to get them to do more.
Why did he have to remember those dark moments in the void... that terrible nightmare that seemingly stripped him of his weaknesses... It didn't remove them, it merely suppressed them. Feeling too soft and vulnerable, he attempted to abandon his past and went under a new name. In his loneliness he wrote in his diary whenever he wanted to share anything. Granted, what he shared was of his worst deeds, at that point wishing to become feared by all who read them, but he did in fact feel alone amongst the elves. Despite their hospitality, he had felt closer to home on that untrusting meteor that once stood here than he did in their session. He never had really valued them, they were just a series of roadblocks on his way to supposedly attaining power. Why did he want power so badly? Was it to fill a void in his heart? Was it to defeat all of his enemies? Was it to give himself purpose as a runaway cog in the grand perpetual motion machine? At this point, Thoren isn't entirely sure. Maybe it was a combination. He'd like to think that he's moved past that, considering he has all the power he could ever need now. Love is one of the most powerful forces in all of paradox space after all. Back then however, he didn't have the luxury of being able to find love, with how much hate he carried within him. He wonders what would have happened if he had accepted what lied beyond that tainted endgame door. Probably death without glory. Not an ending fit for the alpha timeline, that's for sure.
All this time, Thoren has been quietly sitting in the same spot. When is that pizza going to get here?

"..." Nora looked at the figure. "I don't like your attitude," She remarks. "But if you wish, I'll talk." Nora puts her blade away, scrutinizing the figure. "I have had my heart ripped out from lightyears away and have felt the bonds of my friends be tangled up, stretched and torn. I don't care if I'm lucky, if my problems aren't as bad as the next person's. I don't care if I'm the weakest one here." She pauses. "I will be the one who will triumph over this... This game. This carnival of death. I cannot recover my past, so I must secure the future. For me. For my friends. Perhaps you can tell me about Omega, Mike. Or even if you know about the Black Sheep." Nora narrows her eyes. This was more than this being deserved to hear. But she said it anyway.

Thoren opens one of his eyes, hearing the fangirl's story. It seems she's felt more pain than he had given her credit for. He wonders if that figure on top of the doorway will give her any straight answers.

The figure's face returns to something more somber.
"The old man? What about him? He was over zealous with my power and it cost him his life. He thought he could control me, turn me into something I wasn't... well, I am in fact, nothing, and all things. He had some interesting Ideas though..."
The spirit rub's his arm.
"As for the Black Sheep, you can ask that Reaper. I'm sure he has plenty of secrets he isn't willing to share about the session he came from. You know, your session."
The spirit smirks.

"..." Nora clenched her teeth. So he was already dead. The bastard. "He played a dangerous game, making M... Ugh. I'm not going to ask who you are because you'll probably just spew some philisophical stuff. But how about this? Why are you here?" She was clearly frustrated right now. Her blood was boiling and any organic nearby could feel her presence. She'll deal with the question of the Reaper later.

Being mechanical, Thoren cannot feel Nora's frustration. There's a chance Raine might be able to though. Thoughts mostly cleared again, Thoren thinks a bit to try and put this shit together. Hearing that the reaper from earlier is or was a player from her session is surprising, but at the same time it seems to make sense, considering he was referred to as the Lord of Heart. Probably the only reaper fit for a job like taking away Omega. It seems that recording saved earlier was actually useful. Wait, when Omega's soul was taken, the Null remained with the body, allowing all those other null users to show up on it. Usually an aspect is bound to the soul of a player, from what Thoren can tell. Then again, Null isn't exactly an aspect.
...something clicks. He seems to have arrived upon an answer.
Thoren stands up and faces the spirit once again. "Wait a fucking minute... you're some kinda avatar of The Null, aren't you? I hope you're done fucking everything up around here, my future wife and I are planning on getting out of the furthest ring eventually, and we don't need another enemy crawling out of the woodworks at the last moment. Once that bonus boss motherfucker in there is through with and my pizza gets here, you won't be seeing us around here anymore." He glares up at them. Yeah, that works better than it. It seems like it's a two in one sort of package, for some weird as fuck reason.
