Thoren awakens and without thinking, he activates his rocketboots to lead him back towards the dome. He's a little surprised to see that it managed to land on top of the tower of gospel, let alone still attached to a wrecked big rig. Knowing they'll need a reliable way to get to the elf session, like Patrick had planned, Thoren decides to repair the big rig. While he doesn't naturally know how to fix shit like broken trucks, he has the power of the internet, his technological enhancements, and his nanites at his disposal. He downloads an assortment of truck manuals and begins scanning the big rig for clues on how to fix it. Being from a poorly made racing game, the big rig is unlike any conventional truck out there. It doesn't matter though. He will fucking make this truck work. Thoren looks up a bunch of theoretical warp drive specs, along with anything else that could help. He even downloads the game the truck came from to gather a better picture of what he should be aiming for. Putting his processors to work, he lets his computerized side do most of the heavy lifting. He overclocks it with his time powers, allowing him to get the specs figured out faster. After a few hours compressed to a few minutes, he has a design plan saved and ready. He takes off his scarf and sends the nanites to begin repairing and collecting material from the land below. He again uses his time powers to speed up the process. In a few minutes, the new and improved big rig is completed. He dubs it the Eros machina. At this point it's difficult to tell that it was an 18 wheeler, since it looks more like a cross between a bus and a mobile home at this point. The dome is securely locked into a special dome shaped compartment in the back, with the exit doors now facing into the cabin of the bus, leading into a small kitchen living room area and about 3 rows of seats before the driver's cockpit. The reverse drive has been placed in backwards to allow for forwards warping, togglable by a lever. The driver's seat has a built-in PS2 controller in the steering wheel, with a small screen on the dashboard displaying important information. There is also a USB port and some cup holders for drinks. The copilot seat has a screen with some buttons, as well as a CD player, DVD player, and a tape player accessible from it. The exterior is painted red and black with flames and gears painted down the side. There's a fair set of wheels in addition to rocket thrusters and aforementioned double reversed warp drive. There are doors on both sides of the bus in the passenger area, as well as a set of car doors for the pilot and copilot seats, with manual roll-up windows.
After completing his work, a vast majority of the nanites that had been multiplied for the project stop working, having been toiling at the whim of their master tirelessly. There is now only enough nanites remaining to fit in the area of a circular pin. They retreat back to Thoren and hide in a hidden compartment somewhere on him. Thoren's processors are in need of a break, but his spirit still burns strong. He steps into the craft from a passenger door. He looks around and likes what he sees. Those nanites constructed everything just how he wanted it. He walks to the kitchen. There is a mini-fridge and a small oven with a gas lit stove. In the cupboards there is nothing in there yet. The mini-fridge is similarly vacant. They can stock the place later. Thoren walks up the aisle to the cockpit and sits down in the pilot's seat. While he'd like to hit the road now, he needs to take a short break.
So Thoren impatiently waits in the front seat of the Eros machina, balanced on top of the tower of gospel.

"...fuck it, I'm ordering a pizza." Thoren looks up "places that deliver pizza to the furthest ring". That doesn't get him any results worth considering. Then he remembers, Fahr Outpost has a pizza place. He just has to make sure he dials the version of it in the timeline where the session didn't get destroyed. Thoren can't seem to remember the number, so he just dials the number to pizza hut. He doesn't even like pizza hut, they just have an easily remembered phone number. He holds up his hand like a phone and waits for it to dial.
The dial tones begin.
After a few incredibly long seconds, something finally picks up on the other end.
"...do you guys deliver to locations in the furthest ring?"
The voice on the other end says something in an unknown language before attempting to speak in English.
"...You do? Holy shit. In that case, I'll order an extra large pepperoni and olive pizza... make that 4 of them... My location? That would be... you know that weird ass planet that just recently appeared out here? I'm on top of the tower located on it... yeah, that one. The fireworks are over at this point, it should be safe."
At that moment, Thoren realizes something. He's flat broke. He lost all his boondollars and grist upon dying a while back. He doesn't even have any tower boons on hand, as if they would even take imaginary ghost money anyways.
But, for some reason, he seems hopeful that he'll find a way to get the funds he needs to order some pizza. "...you'll be here in 2 hours and 80 miles? Got it." Thoren hangs up and jumps out of the bus. He takes a quick scan around the area. He could have sworn that he detected the Land of Frost and Spheres somewhere within reach...

The Land looks... decimated. Huge cracks protrude into the crust, and the suns heat and light has resulted in snow melting, resulting in waterfalls off into the ravines.
The orbit around the planet looks rather stable, if a bit elliptical.
What is worse, is that you can't see any underlings anywhere on the surface, including on the remains of the dwelling spire. Maybe the consorts will take whatever you find laying around in the house as payment? Then again, your better bet is probably tracking down enough underlings to get the necessary funds. They can't all have just simply vanished, could they?

Thoren spots it, and is surprised to see that it has thawed out so much. Oh well, he never liked the cold anyways. Thoren blasts off towards the land, continuing to scan the surface as he gets closer. Knowing the underlings of that land are undead type, he knows he can't just do a heatscan to fish them out. Thoren follows a waterfall down into a ravine and turns on night vision, continuously scanning for anything of interest.

Omega's planet creaks and cracks... fissures running along the land and deep in the ocean. The players who gathered there float away from the surface as it begins to split, making Gospel tremble.
The planet might not have long left after the Ring Bearer destroyed the core's stability...

Deep in the ravine, There is a rock layer that seems to be completely undamaged by the destruction brought on by the attacks toward the land. Several doors seem to be spread across this, but all of them that you can see have broken in the lock mechanism, are caved in, or are otherwise inaccessible. However, odds are that at least one of the doors should remain intact.

Thoren continues to scour the bedrock layer at high speed, scanning for any accessible points. There's a sense as if he would've given up on this earlier if he weren't so hopeful. He's not exactly sure why. He knows Patrick is a hope player, but this almost seems like a greater amount of hope than what he usually seems to bring to the table.

Seth finally comes across a door with a lock that is undamaged. A stone slab is next to it, with familiar writing upon it. While you might not have the totem actually needed to unlock the door, you could easily throw together a nanite alternative, assuming you can get an image of the totem. Or try your luck at lock picking. Either or.

Thoren lands in front of the door. He does some quick scans and it appears to have writing on it that he can't find a translation for at the moment. Thoren calls out for Patrick internally.
Hey Patrick, there's a locked door here and I don't know how to get it open.
There is a wait... and then an answer.
Alright, what kind of lock is it?
Weird as fuck, that's for sure. has instructions in an unknown language and some compartment about the size of... a severed head or some shit? I don't fucking know. Maybe a little skinnier. I have a feeling there's something behind this door that'll help pay for the pizzas I ordered earlier.
Patrick can get a sense that Thoren is really craving some pizza or at least some kinda food right about now.
Give me a second, maybe it's mentioned in this glitch FAQ Katie shared with me. It mentions the aspect symbol that's on the quest bed, so it might have an idea about it.
...what?
Just give me a bit.
Patrick seems to be focusing heavily on something.
Thoren backs off a little, giving Patrick some time to focus, maybe even literally speeding him up with time powers for a moment.
If it's what I think it is, you should just be able to walk through it. Like, a collision error in a shitty movie tie-in game. Thoren is dumbfounded.
...seriously? are you saying I should just slam into this ancient door and see if it's actually there?
Don't think you even have to push that hard, just, like, lay on it.
I think I'll throw a rock at it. I'm not risking falling into surprise spikes on this trap.
Alright.
Thanks.
Thoren picks up a couple small rocks off the ground and chucks one straight at the door, making sure the potential ricochet won't hit him.

The rock hits the door. It doesn't phase through.

Thoren watches the rock predictably bounce off the door. "...Figures." Thoren calls out for Patrick internally. He needs some better answers. Let me guess, it didn't work?
it didn't work.
Yep.
now how the fuck do I get pizza money?
There is a pause. Why don't you just go into the dome, pause time for everyone other than me and you, and I just give some boonmint? Prospit pays it's soldiers royally.Thoren is surprised at Patrick's generosity, but seems quite willing to take this relatively easier route. ...I'll be there. I hope you like the toppings I picked out, I got enough for everybody.
So, what, are we just going to take a timeout in the middle of this for pizza? I mean, I could go for it but I don't think this asshole would be very permitting
I'll wait if I have to, but we have 2 hours and 80 miles until it gets here as you know already, time out here is absolutely batshit.
Agreed.
it's even worse if you're a time player, because then you can almost figure out how fucking horrible it's knotted up, but it just gets so fucking irradiating and out of reach. There's quite a bit of frustration behind his thoughts. Yeah.. I'm sorry for Katie right now. What the 'ell is she thinking...
who fucking knows... I can't wait for us all to get the fuck out of this hellhole.Thoren puts the remaining small rocks away in his sylladex and flies off back towards the Eros Machina. It's at this point that he notices the fissures in the large planet... There is a sense of worry, but he continues on his way.

Upon arriving at the top of the tower, Thoren can feel something troubling. What is happening in there? Not too long after, there is a massive shock. Raine is in danger. She's been hit.
She could die.
...NO! Thoren isn't willing to let her die, not so close to their happy ending! He won't have it!
He then remembers something. The heart container! Not only can he be there for her, but upon initial connection it will heal her, if it truly works like the ones in smash bros. He has a feeling they do. A quick online search reveals their basic purpose in the Zelda series, but neglects to mention anything about it's more mystical properties.
With doubt cleared and time running short, he knows what he must do. Well, what Patrick must do. While Patrick was a pretty decent partner, Raine needs Thoren more than ever.
Thankfully he is understanding enough to comply with his wishes and gives the heart container to Raine.
Thoren can feel the shift between Patrick's courage to Raine's doubt. He will wipe away the tears from her eyes. Together they will be strong. Together they will be beautiful. Together, they can do anything.
All the while, the tower continues shaking from the quakes below. Thoren is too preoccupied with Raine to even take further notice. It feels amazing to be so close to her. Eventually, he returns to being the tactician he had worked towards becoming before, and begins making battle plans for them. Now that he thinks about it, this connection shit can be pretty fucking powerful in a fight if both are synced up just right. After all that he's lost in the past, Thoren is ready for that victory on the horizon. He's quite sure Raine probably is too.

The ocean on the planet begins to visibly ripple, flowing into a gigantic whirlpool. What the heck is happening?

Upon sensing Anetheia near Raine, Thoren displays guilt and doubt. There's so many things he regrets having to do in the past. Needing to take a break, he takes a short walk around the top of the tower. There appears to be an endgame door, but it's ambiguous what it would do. Considering it was being built while Omega was still around, he's not sure if it should be trusted. Might be another null door. Done looking at it for now, Thoren looks out at the planet below. The massive cracks accompanied by frequent seismic activity seem to indicate a dire instability. Not only that, but something seems to be happening to the ocean? Either way, it's a good thing they're planning on getting the fuck out of here soon. Thoren just hopes the pizza guy gets here before something worse happens.

The spirit tosses the knob up and down in his hand, contemplating. He looks out towards the dream dome again, faintly feeling the battle raging on inside. "They fight for so little... yet so much at the same time. The danger to reality has passed, but old grudges die hard I suppose." The spirit quietly watches as if this was no longer his game to fight in...
