"Maybe I want to see what happens next. That thing was another user of my power for a period, still is in a manner. I wonder if you'll really be able to defeat it, it seems to be giving your group a lot of trouble. It may be even more stubborn than you, and then what?"
The figure folds its arms, looking off in the distance to the dream dome.
"My power is salvation and hope, everything, and at the same time the one thing that matters. Logic. I won't be ruining your time but I can't be held responsible for who took and twisted it, and I can't be held responsible for the path you are on. No, that was your fault... I wonder, will you be able to remedy your mistake? Or has it grown too far beyond your capability?"
The figure's mouth settles into a line.
"And even if you can. Escaping the Furthest Ring, you said...? You are dead."

A yellow light is visible in the whirlpool on the planet. It seems something is about to come ou-
A humanoid figure bursts out of the ocean, black suited with yellow tron lines, and a face concealing helmet reminiscent of daft punk. Six yellow, feathered rings hold in position, as the figures head twitches to the side unnaturally. It wears a yellow ring, with a yellow symbol upon it duplicated on the front of its suit.

"Seriously?! This is overkill..."
"It's always something. And something's gotta given sooner or later, but as always I'll default to you. What's the plan, Falks?"
"It has to be the same as before. Now that we... huh?"
The two, female and male, turn around.
"You are...?!"

Thoren takes offense to that last statement. "Maybe I was, but I feel more alive than I ever did before! With the body of an elegant machine and the heart of my true love, I am no longer bound to the boundaries of the bubbles. I have seen one of the worlds away from this place with the help of my brother, so don't say I won't be able to leave. I have before and I will again." "I won't blame you for my past mistakes, those with your power acted how they would. I'm only really concerned now about the safety of those that had accepted me. As long as you have no personal quarrel against me or them, and will allow us to pursue the future we wish to build, I will leave you alone" Thoren glances over at the dome and puts a hand over his chest. "They're fighting hard in there... while it would be disadvantageous for me to fight directly, I believe she has the power to turn the tide of the battle, with my help."
He can sense Raine detecting the rage within the enemy. An overwhelming amount is directed at him. The rage of countless that had found grief because of him. It's quite clear why it seems so intent on destroying him. Can she even calm this beast, even with Thoren's support? Will his support make it worse, considering he is the main reason it harbors such unimaginable fury? He knows for sure that it would be almost impossible for a rage against him to be completely extinguished, considering what he has done to garner it in the first place. But, they have no choice but to try what they can.
Thoren stands there in resolute silence, focused on assisting Raine if she needs it.

Nora takes a breath, looking around at the people around her. She points at the Null thing, "I know what you are. I've seen enough of the Null to know that. Even if I never used it. And as predictable or unpredictable as this may be... I want Micha. She is and is not that one lady in white. But I don't think that matters for the Null. Otherwise, I have no business with you and do not wish to fight. I will instead help them over there." She glances at the dome in turn. She isn't sure of their fate. Nora senses the bonds between Raine and Thoren. It /almost/ makes her mad thinking about it. But she mostly thought it was amazing. It was empowering.

The figure's neutral expression remains as it continues to stare.
"What makes you think you have the right? A born-again killer who died an ignoble death for his mistakes. And now that you have repented, now that you play hero and make grand heroic gestures and statements, your earned death has lost merit? How convenient."
The figure chuckles, rolling the knob in a circle around its cupped hand.
"Even if you help bring this confrontation to a close you will only be remedying a byproduct of your own fault. Many die. Many find understanding in their deaths and lives. Many regret, and wish for something better. Many wallow in the dark. And all fade, eventually, once their time is up. There are reasons for that, reasons rooted in the nature of life and death. Malleable, but not elastic. Like cement. So I ask again... Love? Acceptance? A pat on the back for your growth? What makes you think you have the right?"
The figure's gaze turns upward.
"The girl.... Oh, yeah, she's out of my power. To grant to you that is... well, for now, that goal is worthwhile. Make yourself known there and you may be able to make a difference. That, is the burden and the power of the living in this."

The Ringbearer takes one look at the Null Spirit, before fleeing as fast as possible in the opposite direction.
You swear they are saying "NOPE" repeatedly as they do so.

What makes him have the right to live? Does he even need one? "Because I worked for this shit. I had and still have the will to stay. More than any of the others that had fallen before and after me that were cut from the same mold. I took the initiative to hold on to whatever I could beyond the limits of my previous life. The enemy I had once wanted to face had been demolished by one of your users. In hindsight, while it was my driving force for a while, it feels like it would have been an empty accomplishment. In my quest to grow stronger, I've found something better than that to pursue. Something I couldn't see before. Something beyond just personal gratification."
He turns to face the Null spirit. "Did you ever think that maybe, my death wasn't meant to be the true ending, but merely the end of a chapter? That maybe, it was a chance to get me to fix my own shit? You're downplaying that possibility like you don't think what I can do will be enough to justify my stay here."
Thoren looks down, focused mostly on the heart decal on his chassis. "Besides, if we were to be separated... I can only imagine what she would do in her grief. Our bond not only protects us, but protects others from what either of us can do. A chain that keeps us together and grounded. We hold within our hearts the power to do both great and terrible things. "
There seems to be a sense of heavy responsibility.
Thoren knows what he is capable of. He has a fairly good idea of what Raine is capable of. Together they have terrifying strength and willpower, the likes of which could cause much worse if either of them were to slip in the wrong direction. Something stronger than Chronos.
What has he gotten himself into, out of his strong desire to live against all odds? Can he and his love stay balanced enough to keep things safe from themselves? It's an aspiration worth striving for at least.

A figure floats towards the wrecked land from the distance. It wears a set of golden armor, red cloth underneath, With a helm on the front of a hood, feather like in design. There is a slight shimmer around the figure, as if its not... entirely there.
"It's... been a long time, hasn't it." "but now... I'm home."

The spirit looks to Thoren again.
"If she means so much to you, why are you out here letting her fight your battles?" The spirit grimaces and shakes his head.
"Aren't you the one being a little too selfish here? Or perhaps shes that expendable to you, like all the others before her. Is love so fleeting?"

"I tried that earlier and almost got destroyed. That enemy in there has a deep seated hatred for me and it will stop at nothing to do what it can against me, if I'm within the area. From what I can tell, it doesn't seem to be targeting her as much as it would target myself if I were to rejoin the fight directly. And besides, she's a Lord of Rage, I'd think with enough encouragement, she can handle herself a lot better in battle." Thoren seems to be denying the selfishness of his strategy.

"It is true that you serve better backing her up. You yourself can do minimal damage to that existence, and run the risk of vanishing entirely yourself. Convenient that the best path to victory is one that works with you well out of the line of danger. Convenient... Presumptuous. A singularity of convenience and reality."
The figure tilts its head, one corner of its line of a mouth curling up in a smile.
"Wanting it more than the others cut from your mold is a worthy reason, then? You made sure to clarify others of your mold, because even you yourself could not be so presumptuous as to suggest you have the right to a second chance above all others of the dead because you want it more than them, right? Not even you. In your quest to grow stronger you killed and were killed. And in the unhappiness inevitable to such things, in the wake of your due vendetta finding its mark on yourself after so many others, you found something beautiful."
The figure's head lowers now, chuckles bringing its shoulders to rise and fall.
"Your death wasn't meant to be the true ending because you are special. Because while death, the final kind outside of apotheosis or that game's careful labyrinthine ways of subverting it and their costs, is an end for most, it isn't for you. Because you and her are two individuals who can only find comfort and pacification in one another, and were you apart either of you might tantrum a path of destruction. I laugh because if I don't I'll cry..."
The figure's chuckles continue as it looks up to Thoren, expression turning serious despite the laughter that fades out quickly enough.
"Do you have so little faith in yourself and her that you believe that? Or, worse, is it true? Is the only thing keeping the both of you from destruction each other? That way of living...
That way of living is none at all. So... I suppose, perfect for you, who is not living."
A chuckle unlike the rest, short.
"Oh. That one actually was funny."

Nora pointed at the two assholes and started yelling, "You two shut up! You clearly aren't trying to help! You just want to be condescending assholes. If you really wanted to help, you would be like," Nora turns to Thoren and points towards the dome,, "You decide what's right and wrong to you! But I think you're stronger than that thing. Who cares if you made it mad?! Your girlfriend can channel all that rage can't she?! And your bond is so so strong! Combined, in sync, together, you could defeat that thing SO easily. If you have that much destruction inside of you, I don't see how you can't focus it down on that target! But if you think you and her would be safer like this, where that beast isn't enraged, so be it! They shouldn't be talking to you like this!" Nora takes a deep breath and turns to the NULL, emboldened. "You! You can bring Micha back! Don't ignore me!"

The spirit leans in and looks Nora in the eyes.
"The entity known as Micha no longer exists. She was created using my essence and had no actual soul. As soon as she perished, she ceased to exist. There is no bringing her back."
He rubs his bandaged arm again, this time more irritated.
"She is dead, she had no soul. She was a pawn in the old man's game. Can you accept the truth? Or will you fight and die for a lie?"

Thoren is really starting to get pissed off at the Null spirit, who seems to be having a field day in deconstructing his words. And to make matters worse, there's a terrible pain that Raine is trying to get a handle on, having something to do with her rage powers. Thoren can feel it quite well, almost doubling over from its intensity. "...As much, as I'd like to discuss... important shit with you... Raine, needs my, attention..." He closes his eyes while wincing, trying to get a handle on the pain she is experiencing.
Upon hearing the girl's infuriated speech however, it seems to make sense. If they're such a danger to others, then why can't they just use their combined powers to stop the tattered heir together?
Of course they can.
With the fangirl's words, he is filled with determination.
Thoren, with a tempered will, powers through the pain being sent to him and begins walking purposefully towards the Eros Machina. "If the pizza shows up here, leave a message on the message board. I'm taking your advice, and fighting by her side." He looks back at Nora before climbing inside.
He can hear them talking about Micha. How could one of Alpha Seth's few friends not actually have a soul? How is that even possible? Was she some sort of sockpuppet controlled by another? Thoren doesn't have the time to think about shit like that, he has to team up with Raine and defeat the tattered heir.
He walks into the dome, leaving the fangirl alone with the Null spirit outside.
