Theta walks ahead to the front door and pushes it open. It stays open for quite a while.
He goes down the hallway and up the carpeted hallway to the stairs, onto the next floor. Why did this tower have to be designed to force him to walk up all 4 flights of stairs to get to his floor...

The girl and Medi wait for about a minute or two before going in as well.
They take their time getting to the floor where the elevator waits, eventually going in.
They haven't pressed any numbers yet. They have to wait for the perfect moment.

Eventually, Theta makes it back up to his floor and back to his home.
Upon entering the house, he tosses off his robe and collapses onto the couch. If he's needed for anything else from now until the end of All Time (which could be sooner than expected), they can always just send him a message online or something. It's been too long of a day, and too much has happened.
Theta is so glad that he's dead and doesn't actually have to really do anything anymore. His form fades and he just sorta floats there.

After a moment of reflection, they decide that the time is right.
The girl presses this sequence of numbers: 9 9 9 9 She hesitates for a few seconds before pulling the lever.
They can't turn back. And they can't just stay there. This is their only chance of disappearing for good.
...Sure, there'll be boatloads of other people there... But they'll just pretend to fight.
Nobody will know the difference.

The lever is pulled and after a very short moment, the elevator begins moving. At first at regular speed, but soon accelerating. Faster and faster it goes, as the floor threatens to ground it's passengers. Cojiro can hardly move his wings, as the force of the ascent pins them down.
It keep going and going and going until...
All goes white.
The passengers now arrive at their destination.

Theta is awakened from his donetier. why though? he checks his laptop for any messages. surprisingly, pesterchum is actually working, and the memo is active. He joins the memo and asks for guidence. Theta gets no answers. He waits a couple endless moments, and then tries again. He is greeted with the sour news that apparently he and the others of his template have been adopted by Kek. He furiously rails against it, until he can take it no longer. He has to get this settled... in court. Theta puts his robe back on and grabs his scythe. He makes his way to the elevator and goes up to Hypnos's floor. He wakes him up and brings him along for the ride, mentioning the stakes at hand. They go back down to the third floor and make their way downstairs to the tower exit.
Hypnos goes to grab his chainsaw to make the boat go faster, but then he remembers he gave it to Medi. Theta just goes ahead and propels it forwards with his sheer rage.
They speed off across the river, to Necropolis. To settle this in a legal manner. They are not going to be adopted by a lizard.

The tower has been in an uproar lately. it was already uneasy before, but upon Rudolph spreading the news about the girl missing from their memories, the seths were thrown into a determined frenzy. however, the chain of command has changed since many of the previous leaders have found occupations outside of the tower. Theta has become a fully licensed reaper, which is a quite demanding job, as the cycle of life and death never pauses, and newly departed are always in need of processing and consolation. Raphael, now reunited with his skeletal remains, has joined the skeleton army, which has a base in Necropolis. Needless to say, boot camp has been doing well to keep him out of trouble. Schrodinger, he had gone missing after last being seen at the party. it is unknown if anyone will ever see him again. it is rumored that he is still out there however.
In this situation, with him being one of the few with a laptop, and being the one who had delivered the news, Rudolph has become the de-facto leader of the dead seths of the clock tower. He has sent a small group off to town to obtain any answers that may be hidden in paperwork.
Another small group, under Hypnos's direction, has taken off towards the voidco office in coldcolor cove. the odd blanks in his supplementary memories seem to make that place stick out more than usual...

With their memories returned suddenly, the seths have decided to celebrate. Unfortunately however, their usual music man is off performing at a venue in town. Thankfuklly, they have enough cd's and loud speakers to make up for it. The kats have a similar music taste, right?
There's a gathering at the Bridge Gate on the 3rd floor. As it had before, it should act as a portal to the bubble where the kats call home. Rudolph stands at the front of the crowd, first in line to lead them across the path. "Just across this divide, they should be waiting... keep it classy, got it?"
The massacre is too loud to listen to him all that much. A beach ball can be seen getting volleyed here and there.

Sponge, who had quietly returned to existence without being noticed until now, took this opportunity to play New Divide.

The seths seem to quiet their festivities as this song plays over the loud speakers. It was not so long ago that they had attended an impromptu memorial concert where someone had sang an intensely heartfelt cover of this song. Some of the seths closer to the jam setup notice Sponge there. Wasn't that the one that's friends with Raphael? Definitely not a seth, but cool enough to hang around.
"...when did you get here?" One of them asks.
Raphael seems to be missing from the tower at the moment...

Rudolph sees Balmung approaching, and thanks to the hush from the moment of silence, is easily able to hear her.
"Let yourselves in, dear friends. We have much to discuss." She says, standing on the bridge.
Rudolph smiles. He's glad to see that the kats are safe and sound, as far as it goes when talking about ghosts. after a moment to process, he turns to speak to the other seths. "...you heard her, we've got permission! Don't get rowdy in their territory, just follow me." The red lightbulb on his ugly Christmas sweater lights up, as if to light the way onward.
Rudolph faces forwards and nods to Balmung before beginning to walk forwards. The seths follow behind in a roughly orderly fashion. Their synergy has definitely improved since their mission back in the Lethean Dream.
Meanwhile, a couple of seths are still talking with Sponge further back in the room.

Meanwhile, Nil and Kusari finally arrive back home. Nil had to do all the rowing, due to Kusari being too busy crying, but they have arrived nonetheless.
"You know, we'd be back here sooner if you would pull your own weight." Nil complains as he steps out onto the dock.
"How do I even know if she'll accept me again after all the shit I've done..." Kusari whines, refusing to budge from his spot.
Nil turns to face the other Seth. "...look. If she forgave you before, she should be able to forgive you now. How about we get moving."
Kusari sniffles a bit and wipes his tears away. He's going to have to face her eventually. He can't shake the feeling that she might not even like him, but if she decides to act against him, he shouldn't be avoiding the consequences for his past actions anyways. Hesitantly, he climbs out of the canoe, and slowly makes his way to the tower, with Nil at his side.
Soon enough, they make it inside. The lobby is empty. Strange. The seths go upstairs. Empty once again. This time however, they can hear noises from the next floor. Kusari begins to get anxious. Whatever happens next may just decide his fate. Will she reject him? Will she destroy him? Or is Nil somehow right, that she will still forgive him? Out of old habit, Kusari takes a deep breath. Together with Nil, they climb the stairs to the third floor, where the bridge to Kat territory lies.

Kusari lands in front of the tower. The loud music being played in the city is muffled and echoed from this distance. Thankfully, his experiences in life regarding hearing damage were quite limited, so the worst is merely being catchy enough to he an ear-worm. A session with a good CD should be enough to take care of that though.
Kusari walks inside. It's quieter than usual. A few seths are still milling about, but a couple more active ones are conspicuously absent. Must be at the wedding. Still vaguely pissed off, Kusari doesn't even give the other seths the time of day. He just climbs up to the third floor, with a resting bitch face. There is no one at the piano today, and the corner next to the off-limits staircase is empty too. Kusari enters the elevator and types in the number 777. A simple flip of a lever and the elevator ascends.
It shouldn't take too long...

A speedboat arrives at the dock. Two shady figures in black suits and ties climb out. They have a special mission to complete. One that must have no outside witnesses.
The figure on the left opens a briefcase. Inside, is a small R/C car, with a bomb strapped to the roof. The figure places the R/C car upon the ground and pulls out a smartphone. The tiny car is maneuvered to the front door, left wide open.
The seths in the lobby hardly even get a chance to notice the toy before the explosives are detonated.
There is no structural damage from the blast, but all the seths on the first floor have been donetiered. their forms litter the ground, one by one they fade, leaving their souls bare and unprotected.
The figure on the right pulls a net and a mason jar out of a suitcase. with only a few skilled swipes of the net, all the seths on the first floor are captured, and then stuffed into the jar back in the suitcase.
It may be a brutal strategy, but its twofold utility pays for itself. Not only does it eliminate the chance of a witness, but it also provides the funds that the caretaker here owes from student loans and energy recycling fountain fees.
The boy has been hesitant to pay his bills lately.
The two shady figures walk towards the stairs in lockstep.

The second floor is far less occupied. It seems most of the seths were scared off by the explosion downstairs. Expresso, however, is still running around as usual, oblivious to the encroaching threat that has entered their sanctuary. He makes the mistake of bumping into one of the shady figures. They look down upon the jittering youth for merely half a second, before stabbing him with a dagger. It was only in that last second that Expresso realized what was happening.
He collapses to the ground and donetiers in a pool of blood, which quickly disappears with the rest of his form. The figure on the right collects their prey, and they move on, towards the next flight of stairs.
The fountain in the center of the room keeps running as usual... you can almost hear echoed screams if you listen to the running water for long enough...
