I think I might have found something one of the other FL's was working on... at least, I think it was something they would be working on. Considering the giant particle accelerator and /stargate factory./ But uh, this thing has been running for a while, and it already has... several gates. I would say that alchemy would have to be involved, but I can't find an alchemiter in here. Plus, where would the grist be coming from? I mean, examining the system, It seems rather rigged together as a large amount well... doesn't seem like it would normally be used for this kind of thing. ...But anyway, I'm gonna go over the code for the gate network and see about adding some safeties so this doesn't end up killing anyone. It seems to be based on a coordinate system, less than a system of constelations... given there are 36 symbols on the gates, but no symbols that look like constelations. I'd see about taking a picture, but you know how void shit doesn't let cameras or viewports work.
But uh... should we actually see about using this? And if so, what planets should we set up base on in our galaxy? I mean, we could probably go further with enough power, but well, I'm not sure how many applicable power sources we have.
But yeah I'm currently adding safeties to the code.

Elsey sent me a message concerning this. Told me that I should suggest we run some tests to see if those safeties you're going to put in will actually be up and running for practical use. Er, tests that don't involve actual people actually using it. You know how she gets.

Alright, I've thrown together a quick list of changes I made to the gate itself.
*Added quick shielding to prevent kawoosh of the gate, and thus prevent people from standing too close and getting vaporized. *Added detection so that if an object cannot be sent through the gate, it just comes back out of the side it went in. SO NO SMASHING ON THE OTHER SIDE *Added that so things that go through the wrong way come back out. *Added automatic shutoff incase of vastly different timescales, preventing black holes *This also prevents time travel. *If an object goes in the wrong way, it gets spit out with more kinetic energy. Don't want horizontal gates causing issues. *Stargate will apply kinetic energy if things are stuck halfway in the gate. SO WE DON'T GET PUDDLEJUMPERS STUCK
Not sure if I'm missing anything that would result in people getting killed. If there is anything that should be patched that I missed, let me know.
