The other gun is on the ground... but you wouldn't be able to reach it without the gunman shooting.
Another Criminal runs up to the Charge Beam User, holding a bag. With a few words, the Charge Beam user says that it is time to pull out, and they start moving to the door, man holding the hostage close by on the way.

Katie attempted to use her fast reflexes (trained by the dungeons of LoCaL) to Flame Charge the man once he got close enough.

BANG.
Unfortunately, while Katie's speed had been increased by the two usages of Flame Charge, it wasn't fast enough. Blood splattered as the woman fell to the ground, bullet through her head. As you make contact with the criminal, you swear you can hear a child cry out, right before you slam the criminal out of the bank, them landing battered on the concrete. The Charge Beam user twists around and fires off a blast at Katie, hitting them dead on. This is remarkably painful.
The getaway vehicle launches off, without the Charge Beam user, who yells out in anger. This leaves you with a choice. Go after the Charge Beam User, who seemed to be in charge of the operation, or go after the vehicle before it gets up to a speed that you wouldn't be able to catch up with, possibly resulting in the super powered criminal getting away?

Katie made the quick decision of going after the super-powered criminal, thinking that the regular police force can go after the truck. She Flame Charged the Charge Beam user, hoping that she can last this human Pokémon battle.

The Charge Beam user was hit by the Flame Charge, causing them to be knocked through the air, and land on the ground in a heap, knocked out.
The get away vehicle has gotten away.
The authorities finally arrive.

Katie rakes her recent memories to see if she can remember the getaway car's license plate. "Evening, officers."

It seems as if my activity in this bubble has attracted attention of an unknowable quality.
I know that you can read this. I don't know if you can respond, but I can track the influence of an exile terminal, yet by attempting a trace, the connection doesn't exist. And believe me, I have checked the tricks that I use myself, but you, well, aren't there. Clever.
As such, I have assigned a branch of myself to watch over this bubble while I preform other tasks. Hopefully that will divert your attention. But I'll know if I keep acting up.
--------
The officers have you sit down on a bench while they talk with the civilians inside of the bank. Its a while before someone walks up to you, a man wearing a green suit of armor, mantis like in appearance. "Sloppy. An innocent killed, excessive force on the criminals, considering the second to third degree burns them, as well as broken ribs, and in one case, a shattered collar bone." He pauses, giving a moment for the words to sink in. "However. Considering the timing of the event, the lack of experience, as well as the fact you aren't even wearing a costume to protect your identity, these indicate that you recently awakened." He pauses again, but resumes, barely giving any time for recovery. "Considering the circumstances, we are going to be going to be more lenient than we would anyone else. But I don't care what you have seen on TV, innocent lives always come before material goods. Banks are insured. Money can be replaced. Lives, like the one of the late Mrs. Saunders, can not. And people are going to have to deal with that. What do you have to say about yourself?"

Heh. You seem to think I exist anywhere near your reality. The only real bridge from yours to mine was closed years ago when She rebuilt and sealed the wall. Fortunately, she couldn't bear to part with her precious muses, so she left our terminals intact. I can't interfere with you besides what I can accomplish through my muses, but I'm honestly just here to have a good time while I wait for the next thing to happen elsewhere. You're really but a distraction for me.
"I-I'm really sorry about what happened to that woman. I acted brashly and didn't really control my powers that well. I-I just felt like I had to do something, because I could." Katie looked down, her shame clearly evident.

A young adult sits at his desk, typing away at his terminal, working on the drivers of one of the gadgets in his armored suit. Though it was 30 years ago he was given life and named, that name would not be shared today. However, his other name, the name he used in his career, was widely known. The Emerald Mantis was interrupted from his coding when a nearby television switched on by itself, showing the heavily polygonal face of one of his partners. He sighed, holding certain emotions back, before facing directly at the television. "What now, Alpha?" he asked, doing his best to not sound overly agitated at the other hero's sudden appearance. Whether or not he succeeded, Alpha did not appear to have noticed, responding quickly. "We have a situation at the Blue Bay Bank." Nodding his head, Emerald replied. "Right. Suiting up."
A couple minutes later, he was out on the streets, in the middle of conversing with Alpha over the comms while on route. "Why would they attack a bank? Those heists never work. Plus, Charger isn't exactly new. He should know this." He paused, before coming to a conclusion. "Distraction?" "Distraction.", Alpha agreed. Emerald replied grudgingly. "Dammit. we have to handle this anyway. The others are still down from Lung's last rampage, and the bank poses far more of a threat when it comes to casualties." Azure paused for a moment, before speaking up. "We have an awakening on our hands." Emerald froze slightly, before swearing. "Fuck. And there went our chances of handling this without causalities."
Meanwhile, at a research facility on the outskirts of the city, a purple spandexed female was extracting a case of disks from a vault. Guards struggled against the walls, trapped by a large amount of webbing. Weaver pulled out one of the discs, examining it for herself. She was interrupted when another group of guards came rounding around the corners, guns aimed at her. But she had something new. Something flashed in her mind with the disc in her hand, and before the guards could react, a cloud of insects appeared around them, stinging and biting. One unlucky guard opened his mouth in a scream, and the insects poured down his throat, stinging the interior of it. She stepped over the fallen guards on her way out, their twitching slowly subsiding, as the venom overtook them.
