"Read about...what?"
Elsey turns towards Fannie, but not before going to the damaged wall and repairing it using magic.

Meanwhile, Seth feels something overwhelmingly desperate and terrible from Thoren. It feels like a poison. an endless mantra of hate and fear.
no...
Seth tries to suppress the feeling. He has to protect everyone he know and loves. He can't let himself fall into this. He must save everyone from himself.
Seth grips into the pillow tighter. Tears leak from his eyes, blood drips down from his broken horn as the wound is reopened. He can't let this get to him. Thoren may be too far gone to be pulled out of this...
"NO THOREN! STOP IT! THIS ISN'T RIGHT!"
Thoren replies clearly, directly.
YΘU CΔN'T STΘP ME. NΘBΘDY CΔN. TIME STΘPS FΘR NΘ ΘTHER FΘRCE.

Fannie is just about to begin explaining when she hears Seth yelling something. Thoren? Where has she heard that name before? Ah yes, "The slaughter of the elf children". yeah... not really one of Fannie's favorite stories... But why is the fallen heir calling out against him? Does he somehow have contact with the Voice of Time in some manner? That wouldn't make much sense though, considering their known relationship in other stories including both of them. Not to mention, the name Thoren is only used during that specific story, which takes place in a very secluded part of his history, before Chronos gained a majority of his abilities, including the ability to project his voice into the minds of specially chosen individuals.
Is this another story yet to have been written?
"um... long story short, I have a reason to believe whatever we might be doing here will likely be passed into legend, somehow. I didn't bring my master storybook with me, and my memory on most of the more obscure stories within it is spotty at best, but I'm sure at least that... incident with the chiseler was loosely translated into a story that made it into that book."
Fannie is excited, but also really nervous. What if they screw up on something? What if they accidentally break the past? Even worse, what if they are the reason why the world supposedly ends in her native time period? Only time will tell, it seems...

"...If that's so, then it's a blessing in disguise that you didnt have it with you."
Elsey looks on over to Seth. What is going on with him, and whose name was that...? She wasn't sure if she's heard it before...
To make matters worse, it seems that what they might do is completely set in stone...or at least, it seemed that way.
"If we knew the possibilities of what might happen, then we would would worry too much about it that we become blind to other matters. Fate or not, I have a few goals in mind, and I'm definitely not leaving without my friend in this whole ordeal."
She delicately trails her hands on the inscriptions that have already been made.
"My only problem right now, aside from Seth's broken horn, is that we have no trail as to where to find our culprit."

Cringing yet again at seth's outbursts, nak sulks away from his writhing tanrum to join the legitimate conversation. He only catches the tail end of Elsey's explanation, probably for the best.
"...Easy, find place for cronak worship nowhere else for lame timehorn to go with deviluniform? Could time nakvel, jump in session before meteor hit, follow lame timehorn long way around too. that harder."

The maelstrom within him seems to have gave way to a much more powerful force. Seth can hear the calling of his aspect.
Time.
Despite his broken horn, he now can feel the relentless ebb and flow of the timestream, forever flowing into the future.
This calms him, giving him a sense that everything will be okay.
Because if it isn't, he will make it work out in the end.
And that's a promise.
For some odd reason, it feels as if Kat is closer than ever.
And wil that, Seth wordlessly begins walking down the hallway, purposefully taking the same relative route they came from, spatially.

"Hm...The first one is probably our easy and safest bet, but-H-Hey, where the hell are you going!?"
Elsey hurries and chases Seth. This man is quite a handful, it seems...

Seth continues walking back up the surprisingly well lit hallways. A vast majority of the walls seem to have writing already chiseled on them. He has to find Kat...
Eventually he makes it back to the stairs and begins climbing them.

Niki finally stops zoning out and dashes down the hall to keep up with the rest of the crew. This is not the time to be zoning out!

Seth makes it to the top of the stairs and where there was previously a parking lot, there is instead a campsite of sorts within the cave. Canvas tents are pitched betwixt piles of building materials. An unlit campfire pit sits in the middle. There aren't any campers here at the moment however.
Seth can feel Thoren calling out to him. There is a sense of doubt. There is also, a reply from the voices heard earlier. Maybe they should get better security against others who might also wander into their hearts. Seth can only remember that brief shocking moment when the tattered heir attacked him almost immediately. It was fucking scary. But, knowing now that it was because of Thoren's past transgressions puts it into perspective. Still, it doesn't change that the tattered heir had done even worse in its wake, if the newer voices are true. Thoren seems to believe them. Knowing what the heir has done and could do later convinces Seth that Thoren should end the heir's life. Thoren however protests with example of his own momentary descent earlier. He doesn't want to fall into that again. He knows that the tattered heir is a danger to all he's come to appreciate, but he's having trouble summoning the strength to go through with killing once more. Seth doesn't have an answer for that.
Seth makes his way up the worn stone path, leading towards the cave's exit. He hopes the other voices can guide Thoren in the right direction.

As usual, Kimura is the last to stop zoning out, and runs after the others. Though, with Seth's freakout-and-a-half earlier, he wonders if this is still a good idea or not... Still, they're probably still Kat's only hope, so he continues on.

Seth feels a great weight lifted off of him. Perhaps it was a little selfish to pass the buck on Thoren, but at this point, he's sure someone less stressed and more willing will be better for him. Besides, he got everything he ever wanted already.
For now though, Seth is going to enjoy his freedom from the shackles of Thoren's heartstrings.
He emerges from the cave and is greeted by the blazing glare of the red hot midday sun. His eyes were not ready for that.
Seth closes his eyes for a moment and tries to acclimate himself to the brightness. "Fuck, how do they handle this bullshit..."
And then, because Patrick hasn't left his heart yet, he starts tearing up a little too. Way to turn on all the fucking waterworks, Thoren.
Up ahead, there is a rough dirt path with a tall cliffside on one side and numerous outcroppings of large rocks on the other. There really isn't much in terms of plant life around here.

Niki finally catches up to most of the group. At this point they're at the bottom of the stairs. Man, she's really out of shape. "Yeah, we should keep going, I guess. I'm a little tired though. ➜" She looks up the stairs while catching her breath. If they weren't somewhere populated by regular people from another culture which does not have flying, she would just fly up the stairs. But, there's probably been enough attention drawn towards them, with Seth's mood swings and all.
So instead she destroys how much time she has to wait to recover from being winded. It's not really all that noticeable since she's just standing still, though maybe if you stare at her you can see a bit of a certain choppiness to her movements, like she's at a different frame-rate and going in fast forwards. She does this for about 20 seconds (30 seconds in total removed from her time) before resuming regular time to climb the stairs.
