Fannie continues to watch the scene from the doorway, too afraid to intervene.
The maid stares Kat down, holding her pendulum up high.
"...No." she tightens her grip. It has been set in stone what she will do next. She will drop the hammer upon this poor girl, ending her life.
She hasn't done it yet though.
She holds her pendulum. This is the first time she's ever done this. All the other times it was only just underlings. Creatures created by the game to be destroyed. If she thought of this girl as one of those things, maybe it would be easier?

The maid is just standing there, gripping the pendulum.
She's not sure if she wants to go through with this anymore, even if it really is the girl that broke his heart.

Remembering that he's supposed to actually be trying to help here rather than stare off into space, Kim uses the Maid's obvious moment of hesitation to try and grab the pendulum away with a drawn Vine, hoping to at least distract her further if not disarm her outright.

Kat raises her head and looks at the Maid straight in the eyes and smiles. She's still crying, but it's clear on her face that she's willing to trust her on her decision.
"I know...you'll make the right...decision..."
And then Kat collapses as she loses conciousness. Her spells disperse and she returns to normal speed.

Nak starts to try and untie Elsey when he reaches her, giving out a very loud sigh when he sees yet another of he crew has passed out.

Kimura's vine grabs at the pendulum and begins to pull it away. The maid's grip is quite strong however.
"...hey, who's... STOP THAT!"
She yanks back at the vine with a strong jerk.
Meanwhile, the 7 guards are starting to get close to the party by the doorway. Fannie is watching Kimura and the Maid with the vine.

Seth slowly gets up off the pile of guards, slightly more tired than usual.
He looks around. There appears to be a maid of time in a tug-of-war with kimura, a fearful Elsey still surrounded by 2 guards, and 7 other guards rushing towards most of the party by the door.
He gets right to work, ignoring the pile of fallen guards he just got up out of. Some of them are still groaning in pain.
Seth decides to lend his strength towards helping Kimura pull in the vine with the pendulum, making it fly out of her hands.
"Ha, take that!"
He tries to aim the pendulum's trajectory towards the ground. Its momentum is slowed quite a bit and the paint is now chipped in places. Seth removes it from the vine, picks it up, and throws it low at one of the 7 running guards, hoping to make them trip and fall.

By the time everything else has gone up to speed, Elsey notices Kat on the ground. She immediately assumes the worst has happened in that short moment of time.
A look of horror spreads, then slowly turns into anger...Rage, even. The wrappings on her neck loosen a little, and noticing that her ties have been loosened, she unbinds herself as well.
She finally speaks.
"Who. Who did this."
A pause. An aura builds around her, probably felt by those who are very, very nearby. Her hair starts to move on it's own.
"WHΘ DID IT!? WHICH ΘNE ΘF YΘU MΘTHERFUCKERS HURT K▲T!?"
Enough with the peaceful act. She wanted to hold back on account of these people, but now that the person she cares most is in danger?
The kid gloves are coming off.

The guards near Elsey step to the sides to give her some room. They do not want to be on the receiving end of her wrath.
The maid freezes in shock. she thought it was the voice, but it turns out... it was her!
The First Temporic is pissed. She should have known this would happen...

"What do I do?"
> YΘU FIGURE IT ΘUT.
Snapped out of her daze, the Maid attempts to pick up and carry Kat's body into the red vortex with her, speeding herself up to get there quicker.
"COMEANDCATCHMEIFYOUCAN!" her words are about twice as fast as usual.
Meanwhile, one of the guards is successfully tripped and falls over, knocking over another. A third rushes towards Seth, while the other 4 prepare to swing their pocketwatches at Kimura, Niki, and Fannie.
Fannie quickly pulls out a phonebook.

"WHERE THE HELL DΘ YΘU THINK YΘU'RE GΘING WITH MY FRIEND!?"
Elsey leaps, immediately picking up speed as she heads right towards the vortex, most likely toppling over the two guards despite the distance they have put themselves between her.
Her scarf falls, revealing her pair of translucent wings, which are now starting to flicker and glitch.

Realizing that Elsey and/or Kat are probably going to kick his ass later if he doesn't at leasy try to help, Kimura bolts for the vortex as well.

Seth is alerted by Elsey's yelling and goes to look towards her direction.
Kat is in trouble!
But Elsey...
...it's just as he feared before... it wasn't just a hallucination...
It was a premonition.
Seth doesn't know what to do. Kat's in danger, But Elsey could put him in danger.
He doesn't want to lose another friend today... but would he risk his own life to save hers?
He decides he has to do this, even if something terrible happens to him.
He has to save Kat, no matter what.
Seth runs to go catch up with the Maid, but then, a hand from the pile grabs his ankle and topples him over onto the ground.
"Agh! LET GO!" He tries to shake his leg free. It's proving to be difficult. He would timewarp a second into the future to escape their grip, but he doesn't have enough reserves to use his time powers. He spent most of it on healing Thoren earlier.
Now that he thinks about it, where the fuck did this pile of guards come from?

Niki finally finishes up her frantic texting to notice that four guards are about to attack her and Fannie. Thinking fast, she throws the phone straight at a guard's face. It falls into the interior of their robe.
She kicks them down while they're stunned, and tears off their robe to retrieve her phone. She captchalogues it away, but fails to notice the other 3 guards. One of them tackles her down.
"AAGH, GET OFF OF ME! DON'T MAKE ME AGE YOUR FACE OFF! ➜➜" she flails and kicks as one of them has her pinned down.

Despite the efforts of the others, the Maid successfully makes it into the red vortex with Kat, fading into a red afterimaged silhouette once more.
It seems to still be open and stable though.
Guard number 3, being much larger than the rest, lifts Seth off the ground by his scarf, choking him a bit.
The ceremony master steps forwards from his spot on the stage and claps slowly, ignoring the very angry Elsey.
"Well look at what we have here. The Fallen Heir." the MC laughs curtly. "Violent and disappointing as ever. Did you really think you would be able to just, waltz down here and do whatever you wanted? You must be sadly mistaken." He paces a little before returning a cold but contemplative stare. "You do not belong here, boy. You are not welcome at all. But what, oh what should we do with you?" He puts his finger to his lips, as if he was thinking of something. But it's clear he had rehearsed his lines beforehand.
It appears as if his thumb is on the wrong side of his hand.
"Ah, I know just the thing. Tear off his horns." He snaps his fingers.
With that, the large guard attempts to hold Seth under his arm makes a reach for Seth's horns with his hands.
Meanwhile, Fannie continues to whap at guards with her phonebook. The one pinning Niki down just keeps doing so, ignoring her yelling.

Just as Elsey reaches the portal, she pauses.
This would lead to even more uncharted territory, who knows where OR when this would put her in.
She isn't going to make the same mistake as last time. Especially if Kat's life is at risk.
She turns around, noticing the awful predicament at least three people are in.
These goddamn cultists are starting to become a pain on her neck.
"DON'T THINK I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU ASSHOLES. YOU'RE THE REASON WHY KAT'S IN DANGER."
She takes a few deliberate steps. Making sure to try to intimidate every single one of them.
"LET THEM GO. OR I'LL SHOW YOU THAT THE 'VOICE OF TIME' ISN'T THE ONE YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID OF HERE."
