Part 1: The Longest Mile

Initial Premise:
Spark Notes:
The big school field trip. A trip to (insert dry Midwestern state that's most fitting) , to expand the group's culture and knowledge of the heartland, and also to have a wicked fun time and cannonball at least one pool
Fun times in store
Fun times interrupted when a mysterious woman and two bodyguards it seems, shows up on the trip's last day, acting as if she not only knows but has business with one of the teachers acting as chaperone.
the area erupts into chaos. And almost as quickly as it's started it ends, with the mysterious woman and her entourage subduing Mrs. Gailway and fleeing the scene with her in tow.
for most, fear and confusion ensue
for a handful confusion of a different sort
Where most students could perceive nothing more than a series of random phenomenon ravaging the area, a few could see figures of a phantasmal sort bringing them about with a fight
for some this was accompanied by acute awareness of a similar sort of being manifesting from themselves. Others have had their own vision for some time but never seen one in another.
but for all a sense of purpose that dwarfs even their curiosity and confusion
"What the hell? Gailway was like the best teacher in this school, we gotta get her back!"
the police are quick to arrive and preparations are underway for the students to return home before anything worse happens, the police assuring they'll do everything in their power
1, 5, 4, 3.........
.......Hey. Where's bus number two?
And didn't we have more students than this coming here...?!
What the hell is going on?!
about 2 miles off the students who've thrown their lot in with this crazy plan rush onward with a stolen bus and a single clue. A map outlying a series of destinations throughout the country
""We just hafta get to one first! Then we'll either meet em halfway or be ready for em!"
