Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I'm turning 30!!! And the egg is wiggle!! News tiem!!!!1!!!one
Movie Night!
On Monday the final act of Half Life VR but the AI is Self-Aware was viewed at Desertia Cinema. Everyone that attended had a great time.
Now that I've seen the whole series, I must say, the latter half feels like it's perhaps leaning into its own mythology a bit too much. Like, you get a number of very obvious custom additions to accommodate the story that's being told. Like, as a storyteller myself, I can appreciate the efforts and all, but like, the remix track with the voice clips near the end... It almost felt like I was trying to be marketed to in order to buy action figures or something. Like I was watching a gogurt commercial featuring Shrek rather than the actual movie Shrek.
Also, this might just be a me thing, but the constant gaslighting got pretty tiring after a while. like, we get it: the science team members are only like, half aware (rather than fully, even in the case of Dr. Coomer) of what they're doing and get onDr. Feetman Dr. Freeman's case for things they do in a very hypocritical manner. You can only repeat a joke so many times in one routine before it gets stale.
Regardless of the small complaints however, It was a really fun thing to watch with a small group, and it was interesting to experience the story of Half-Life for the first time through the lens of something that almost resembles newgrounds style game parody writing.
The next movie night has been scheduled for Monday once again, but which movie has yet to be chosen.
Train Station Updates
As of late, there have been improvements and additions to The Park rail station, preparing for its eventual greater use in the future. The local pokemon that call The Park their home have been seen often interacting with the construction crew, some more helpful than others. Because of this, dedicated staff members have been assigned to handling the pokemon at the construction site, prioritizing pokemon safety.
In other news, it is very possible that required negotiations for the implements needed to make Stratford station (and other adjacent stops) accessible again may be around the corner, though it is difficult to tell when.

- Disguise Kit (25 gp)
- Perfume/Cologne, common (1 dose) (1 gp)
- Smoke pellet, smog (40 gp)
- Smoke pellet, pepper (60 gp)
- Caul (50 gp)
- Poisoner's Kit (50 gp)
- Manacles (2 gp)
Leatherworking Stand:
- Shield (10 gp)
- Adventuring Gear (2 sp)
- Artisan's Tools (5 gp)
- Simple Ranged Weapon (1 sp)
- Musical Instrument (30 gp)

I think that does it for this week. I managed to get some stuff done in the game, but there's still plenty more to work on. I do worry about the possibility of a timeline split and what it might mean. The colored text had different messages at different angles. I have a feeling that furthest ring weirdness, coupled with the possibilities of ludomancy are going to have a significant effect from here on out. Stay safe over there.
