The Charcherry Weekly
I'M BACK IN BUSINESS, BABY! This is Mage of Light Nick Card, one year older, and one week past my debilitating cold.
Let's roll!
A Successor to a Fallen Platform
Rather early this week, CaFAI launched a recreation of the Chittr social media platform, located at chittr.sbargv2.com/ . Please note that you must contact CaFAI in order to register an account there. Currently a handful of our group has successfully registered, but the userbase is still very small. I can be found on there under @lavendersiren there. Hopefully I can remember to actually post things, since I'm usually not much of an active blogger off the clock.
Flower Power
At the beginning of the week, right on the tail end of the situation in Antechamber Town, Bounty hunter Samus Kitten took a trip to Hepi, to presumably investigate the reports of energy drainage in the village of Kanjaweii. She was captured almost immediately, separated from her computing device and soon knocked unconscious. Fortunately, a distress call was reportedly sent over the heart container network, and the dungeon crashers were able to begin planning for a rescue mission.
On Thursday, which just so happened to also be my birthday, the dungeon crashers assembled at the lab to disembark for their latest mission. The party consisted of Samus's wife, Desertian President Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten, Mai of Hepi, Warlock of Time Coleman, Korosian President Heir of Time Thoren Emit, Thoren's sister Brae Emit, someone who appeared to be Rogue of Heart Charles (may or may not have been Lil B the dragon in disguise), and someone who appeared to be Shard Emit (was actually Shadow, Rise Emit's Incineroar), Page of Mind Samm, and Maid of Void Skitis.
Together, they traveled to the village of Kanjaweii, via transportalizer pad. Upon arriving, it was clear that the village had been hit devastatingly hard. All plant life had wilted, and the streets were empty, and any villagers who remained were too lethargic to leave their homes. Curiously enough, Mai's family home had apparently been cleaned relatively recently, though it is not confirmed who performed the cleaning.
Coleman lead the way towards the point of most drainage, not too far outside of the village's edge.
The dungeon site apparently was a temple of some sort, but on the inside, the theming was entirely different from expectation. The dungeon appeared to be more like a playstructure than a dungeon, with large tunnels that required the party to literally crawl through.
The party encountered a pair of attacking flowers with draining properties. Fortunately, the flowers were no match for such a large party.
Proceeding onwards, the group arrived at a large chasm. Reportedly, a gigantic tentacle managed to grab Mai while he was trying to cross, and "Charles" immediately chased after. They were later found to have been transported to a holding cell, just a short distance from the dungeon core. Fortunately, the holding cell was only held shut by a master lock, which "charles" was able to defeat with a pair of spoons that were sent to the cell via the pit.
After managing to lockpick with two spoons, the rest of the party was notified of the shortcut, and soon everyone made their way down to be transported to the now-open cell. The party was greeted by a voidco agent by the name of Tulip. Katie proceeded to hand over control to a Re-Fallen version of herself and immediately rushed towards Tulip to try and attack them for kidnapping her wife. Meanwhile, Brae was planning to hand over "Shard" in return for Samus, with intention of Shadow taking action upon taking position. However, ReFallen!Katie's actions shortened the possible timeframe for this plan and Tulip absconded through a mysterious portal, leaving everyone else behind. Samus was retrieved safely and sent to the hospital on desertia to recover with her dear wife. Katie had notably been keeping up a nine day long filibuster a few days before joining the party on this mission, so she was thoroughly exhausted at the end of it. The rest of the party went their separate ways, back to their homes. Coleman managed to use his time magic to basically make the core disappear completely. I don't exactly understand how it works, but whatever he did to the core, its not there anymore, and I trust that he finished the job well.
As it stands, the village of Kanjaweii likely will need time and assistance to recover. I would suggest asking Pokemon Breeder HAZEL to bring over FLOWER the shaymin to assist in plant regrowth, but unfortunately both versions of HAZEL are no longer in this dimension, one of them being in dark version of her Johto adventure (though I think she made it to Kanto at this point?) and the other one being in Pinto. HOWEVER, that isn't to say that an odd flower or two couldn't change that.... Perhaps a less roundabout method can be found in the meantime.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
-thumbtack stand
-Fresh food stand
- Ice cream (1 sp)
- 1 lb. of raw or fried beans (1 sp)
- 1 lb. of myrrh (8 gp)
-Animal Store
- Snake, constrictor (5 gp)
- Bat (5 gp)
- Horse, heavy (200 gp)
- Rat, dire (5 gp)
- Skunk (10 gp)
I think that about covers it. I've been slowly trying to resume drawing, though I keep getting distracted. Also, I've begun some major planning for my next game project.
As a reminder, the harvest feast is coming up on thursday, so remember to bring your sides and entrees to autumnal!
Also, Samm, thank you for all the cool snacks and stuff that you got me and Aeons for our birthday. It really made our night.
