The Charcherry Weekly
Hey there, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Things are happening all the time. Let’s focus on this week.
Friendly Fighting
Early this week, Page of Mind Samm and her husband Page of Rage Jovin had a friendly sparring match in the barren land beyond the mountain on grass 3. Reportedly it was an epically even match-up that ended in a geyser emerging from a crack in the ground, and both parties being very much exhausted from exertion afterwards. Reportedly they both enjoyed the fight and their bond remains strong as ever. Samm received medical attention afterwards.
The next day, Jo-squad leader Johnny fought against Flux Emit in what could be characterized as a wrestling match right off the coast of lake river rose, atop a platform made of perfectly generic objects. Due to the delay in scheduling, accommodations for spectators were made more readily, including bleachers and concession stands, also primarily made of perfectly generic material. A rather even mix of Jo-squad members and dungeon crashers arrived to cheer for their respective fighter.
In the end, though they were quite even most of the time, Flux managed to win by causing Johnny to tumble into the water. As part of the deal they had both made, Johnny had to take a week off work. Reportedly, this has had effects on Jo-squad management, though exacts are unknown.
There are some reports after this fight that the two of them, Flux and Johnny, have been seen occupying the same public spaces together, though there are repeated denials of any sort of budding connection.
Samm ran her shaved ice stand at the site of the match, but fell asleep due to the energy needed from recent life player based healing techniques applied to her. She was later carried home by mysterious aquatic benefactor Kieran.
Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth also ran their snack stand, having sold hot chips that day. Being interested in expanding their snack business, Aeons afterwards proceeded to hire a newcomer as their potential new employee for a later planned snack stand location in Unity Village. This has yet to be fully realized however.
Someone set us up the Bomb
On the 20th was Rogue of Heart Charles’s 29th birthday. To celebrate such an event, your dear newsletter writer visited them in their home and gave him some yogurt covered pretzels. We talked briefly about their plans for the holo chamber, which they only had vague thematic ideas for, but minimal known gameplay. There was also a brief discussion regarding the Unity Library, and how it has seemingly “chosen” me as its librarian, despite my lack of knowledge in proper publication stewardship.
After I left, there was a reported explosion at the sea base, prompting Kieran to mysteriously show up to try and rescue Charles from risk of flooding. It is assumed that a voidco member was the one responsible for the explosives, with further theory in place that it coincided with the 10th anniversary of the “chumplist incident”, in which the identity of the one who killed charles’s dreamself was revealed at the time in the past.
Personally, I see only minimal connections, which rely upon the assumption that Horrorterror Googlegoth (known for antagonizing the lost pawns and previously enslaving Page of Void Dylan. Yes, That Dylan.) was apart of voidco at some point in the past.
Hyacinth, if you can, it would be helpful if you could investigate this, and any possible word regarding the fate of the founder of the company as well.
As for Charles, he successfully escaped the flooded chamber and is now highly disgruntled as a result, but safe regardless.
Without Further Ado
Earlier today, your dear newsletter writer received word that the order I placed with Motor Industries regarding two different sets of poke-armor was fulfilled, and quickly sent to my place of residence in Unity Village. It was delivered by a pack of very adorable mecha-eevees, all rather average eevee sized. It took some effort, but I managed to open the crates and examine the armor sets.
One set appeared incredibly rushed looking, while the other had a professional handicraft look to it. It is important to note that the lower quality model matched the description of the pokearmor commonly used and complained about at the Unity Gym. It is advised to avoid using the low quality pokearmor on your pokemon. Further investigation will need to be made on a later date.
In other news however, a seemingly rogue mecha-eevee was found hiding in the crate of the lower quality armor. It caused some mild mischief and even temporarily evolved into a mecha-jolteon, but later ran low on battery power. I invited it to plug in for the night, melted by the sheer cute factor.
If there are any available experts in examining such constructs, please contact me later.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
That should most likely be most of what happened this week. Kanjaweii is still in a worrying position, the newcomer hired as secondary snack clerk appears to be from an entirely different dimension, and Samm is fielding ideas for new geologic features to add to grass 3. Stay safe out there.
