The Charcherry Weekly
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Things happened this week. Let's go over them.
An Explosive Start
Early this week, there was an explosion just outside of Unity Village. Investigative Reporter Aeons Edgeworth, along with Gym Leader Jovin Castle, made their way to the scene of the incident. Apparently Jovin's wife, Page of Mind Samm, had accidentally an explosion while trying to perform a mind-y maneuver. This resulted in a concussion which required medical attention. Sylph of Life Nurse Eden was dispatched to the scene and provided immediate treatment. Samm was advised to refrain from strenuous mental activity for the next few days just in case.
Both Sides of the Pizza
Last week, MS Paint Fan Adventures went under maintenance. Receiving word that it would last for a few weeks, your dear newsletter writer decided to instead resume work on None Pizza With Left Beef elsewhere, also mirroring between two message boards, including the one that primarily hosts this newsletter. Fortunately, a read-only mode has been implemented on the website, making the rest of the comic readable once more. Once MSPFA is restored to full use once more, the externally mirrored pages will be added there, and a proper archived version of Left Beef will be extracted and hosted on the dungeon crasher's website.
In tangential news, development on Chapter 2 part 2 of Left Beef is slated to begin at the end of February. That means that the cast should be prepared to disembark at that time, with Thoren staying put and instead sending Thorenbot to be remote controlled for their safety.
A Creation Story in the Making
As of late, Samm has been working on shaping, planning, and terraforming on Grass 3. After a brief break to recover from her recent concussion, she resumed this. Reportedly, Samm and her adopted daughter Brae Emit took a trip to the otherworld to shop for supplies for worldbuilding reasons. She managed to make a bargain with a dryad that went very well for everyone involved, and as a result now has a new resident as well as a variety of available supplies.
Earlier tonight however, Page of Rage Jovin Castle retrieved an asteroid to skillfully drop into place, forming a mountain and a crater upon the otherwise minimally carved land. Samm summoned a great blast of water and some clouds, which had become charged with two bolts of lightning. A storm has begun as a result, and in a few days time, a recently prepared riverbed is slated to settle. Samm and Jovin will likely need a few days of rest after this combined feat.
Sometimes bad days are just days that are bad
Just the other day, your dear newsletter writer was summoned to Desertia Town Square via light-y senses. What I had found there was a fortune teller light player offering her services. She was pleasant to speak to, though warned me of what may happen if I got my fortune read. Heeding the warning, I left without requesting her services. I assume she will likely be there for the rest of the week. Considering the lack of business in the square as of late, it may be a good idea to visit if you happen to be in the area.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Fortune teller's stand (this week...?)
-Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-Brae’s canned goods stand (currently closed for the time being)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
There was also some minor news this week. Brae recently began visiting the Alola region and defeated the first island kahuna in the island challenge. The movie choice at movie night has necessitated that any movie chosen for movie night need to be vetted first before submission.
Oh, and Dr. Winters is officially back in town and has slots open for therapy sessions, though has mentioned that in most cases she is only accepting up to two appointments per week to avoid burnout.
I think that covers it.
Seeya next week!
