The Charcherry Weekly
Hey everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I think I'm done flipping out about recent revelations... probably. We got more important news anyhow.
Decoy Success
Last week, a voidco employee entered our memo, assuming it was a place for those seeking reassignment after the destruction of a dungeon. As a precaution, this employee was lead to a regional office decoy. It took them a few days to figure out that there was something fishy, but their ambivalence lead them to leave for parts unknown. It can be assumed that there is no longer a danger from this information being shared. It has however been gathered that there is apparently a subsidiary of voidco called "Denizenergy", and it operates in what may even be a different universe from Gene, which is very troubling. However, considering there was somebody to crash their original dungeon, perhaps its not something that needs to be worried about too much? It's hard to tell.
Seeing the Light
The other day, Rogue of Heart Charles organized a short expedition to the top of the highest peak on Starter Planet, to investigate a mysterious phenomenon. Joining with him was Mage of Life Blaze, and Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth. They began their hike quite far up the mountain, and climbed for hours. Flight was not an option, as unknown factors seemed almost conspiring against the presence of upward flight. Granted, Charles was the only one who consistently got hit by the elements (does a random blue bird count as an element?), but Aeons and Blaze aren't the types to defy mysterious forces like that.
After a mitigated encounter with a purple pokemon that knew earthquake, and an amount of climbing, the team of three finally reached the summit. Aeons stood upon the top and reportedly saw a great light, which revealed to them a number of key locations, with visions of the past, present, and future.
First was the scene of the three of them upon the mountain. Second was two figures against a third, in a mysterious place of confounding architecture beyond space and time. Third was a hand of smoke grabbing someone's head, reaching out from a closet. Fourth was a number of bears from the Fyre nation gathered around a table, facing a map with a knife pinning it down in the middle. Fifth was the sight of a woman in a long flowing dress with blue flame decorations, drawing closer to a pink crystalline figure. Sixth was what appeared to be a park of some sort, possibly The Park that had been advertised during the festival? There were none but ancient pokemon long thought to be extinct there. Seventh was far too terrifying for Aeons to desire for it to be known to the general public. The Eighth was what appeared to be the arrival of the slowpokes upon Slowpoke Island.
It is assumed that all of these locations will need to be visited at some point or another, With the assumption that each one is connected to an aspect somehow.
Blaze also took a moment to see if she could glimpse upon a vision, and did manage to see one thing, which wound up being a scene of Charles sneaking in a hallway with the light symbol upon the tile flooring. Aeons says this location may be a well-known intersection in the Skaian Magicant of their session. It is unknown if this is true, or what significance it will hold. There are guesses that amount to a chance that code may be changed, but it is likely that the way to the inner code of that session is still locked, with a need to request the key from a reputable source.
I do wonder if there are other locations of interest beyond the ones seen atop the tallest mountain. I also wonder if that mountain even has a name yet.
Regardless, the descent was complicated slightly by an aipom stealing the transportalizer pad, but thankfully Aeons was able to bribe it with snacks and win their way back home. Charles was too donetier with the mountain's antagonistic antics to stick around and simply fireported home. It is likely that the linked pads are still in place for those that may wish to visit, but it is advised to wear protective clothing, as it is very cold up there. I'm considering giving the place a visit some time myself, since its likely to provide some sorta insight to a light player such as myself. But who knows?
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Pocket knife stand (this week)
-Socks stand (this week)
-Katie's potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-Brae's canned goods stand (Ran by Prism in Brae's absence)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
Work continues on my event game, and even a number of left beef panels. I feel like its getting close to a particularly important scene soon. Recently there's been a visitor to the memo, which is a nice surprise. I like seeing new faces there. I just hope they don't disappear as quick as those who used to visit the meteor back when I was in the 'ring. pretty sure that messed me up a bit.
