The Charcherry Weekly
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here! The future is sitting upon the horizon, waiting to be written. Let us go over this week's happenings now!
[ S ] Rise: Ascend
Earlier this week, Heir of Time Rise Emit resolved to begin their climb up Mt. Coronet in the center of the Sinnoh region. It was this place where Legendary Pokemon Dialga had told Rise in a dream to meet them at many months ago.
So far, Rise has managed to fight through a number of galactic grunts on their way up the mountain, but reportedly they had gotten tired and had to retreat back home to Autumnal.
Apparently when they are ready, Rise will be able to resume their ascent at the point where they left off. It is at the top of the sacred mountain that Rise will meet their destiny, and obtain an audience with the Time dragon of Sinnoh.
Festive Anticipation
Planning for the Unity Village Summer Festival has officially gone underway! Mayor Brae Emit and her assistant Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth have reportedly been busy with planning in the past few days. Most importantly, the festival has been declared to take place between July 21st and 28th.
It is also planned that the Gym Leader Tournament will take place during the time of this festival, which should hopefully bolster visitor numbers, as well as finally get the village's empty gym occupied. The sign-up sheet is located at town hall. Please remember that allowed teams must have no legendaries, ultrabeasts, or mythicals, and only one psuedolegendary (the late dex hard-to-train dragon types such as garchomp and dragonite). Max team size is three pokemon with no known type restrictions. "Levels" are likely to be adjusted by whatever means they are adjusted in official events, to what can be approximated as Level 50.
As of writing, Rise Emit has signed up with Shadow the Torracat, Atlas the Machoke, and Azumarill. There are plenty of slots open so it is highly encouraged for any ambitious trainers to sign up while registration is still open!
Do remember however, that the winner is contractually obligated to become gym leader, so you'll need to be prepared for the commitment.
I am looking forward to the festival and getting to watch some heated battles take place at the unity gym. I'm not planning on entering, if only because I don't want to be tied down by the obligation of becoming a gym leader, when I still have a gym leader challenge to complete in the pinto region (which I have been avoiding mostly out of being too busy with drawing left beef panels).
Speaking of left beef, I am getting closer and closer to one of the most important parts of the wintermission, having just completed the scene where Rise Emit goes on a gristmas alchemy binge (complete with a short flash animation!). Hopefully I can get the majority of this important upcoming section finished before the festival.
Assorted Pokemon Happenings
All today, Page of Mind Samm has recently adopted a Venomoth from Unity Ranch. Minimal details have been released regarding this, but it appears to be a positive development.
Samus Kitten's Wooloo, Bibi, has apparently received her summer shearing, and reportedly has been acting dramatic about her sudden lack of wool. This has been remedied by the promise of easier dying while Bibi still has short wool, which may make the wait for more wool growth easier to deal with.
A few days ago, Page of Rage Jovin Castle has been seen with a number of shroomish, having apparently met them during an incident where a number of them became distressed at the sudden disappearance of their leader via the transportalizer pad. Jovin was able to easily retrieve the leader shroomish from Gene's Garden, though was reported to have caused a mild ruckus after tripping and falling after stepping on a pokeball. Fortunately, any injuries were minimal. The shroomish were reunited with their leader in Unity Village and they reportedly have gained an amount of trust for Jovin.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Sharpie variety stand stand (this week)
-TV stand (this week)
-Katie's potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-Brae's canned goods stand (Also selling live plants!)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
-Samm's teriyaki noodle stand (Now with a free pokeball pin!)
That should about do it for this week. For now, I've got more drawing to do. Seeya next week!
