{show ???log} "Nick": That which is contained within the confines of this game cartridge, brought into motion by mysterious constructs. "Nick": To just call it a game would do it a disservice. "Nick": I see you've caught onto how I can hear you. "Nick": You need not pretty up your queries to protect my sanity, There is nothing left that can possibly break me anymore.

{show ???log}"Nick": I am a servant of the void. "Nick": I was once a naive young boy, but I have since lost much of that distinction. "Nick": I think I can still be classified as a human, unless they decide to take that away from me as well, not that it matters. "Nick": If it means anything, I have managed to retain my passion for baseball for all these years, despite never being granted access into a realm that allows for that sport to be played in its full glory.

Can you break things within the confines of the game? Kill some of the villagers, perhaps? Perhaps a certain laser shooting shopkeeper?

{show ???log} "Nick": I've tried, but I can only work within the limitations that the current game gives me. "Nick": Trying to raise the bat to a villager bounces off harmlessly, and the animals just keep attacking. "Nick": The most I can do is find ways to scramble their data through glitches, but they just reform after I leave the area. "Nick": It's an exercise in futility, like most things. "Nick": As for your apologetic sentiments, it'll do no good now. The damage is done. "Nick": I can't say that I have any ill or even positive feelings aimed towards my captors, it just is what it is and only oblivion can free me from it. "Nick": No, not that Oblivion, they already pulled that one on me a while back.

Have you tried calling for help?

I think there's another person on another... plane or something in your realm. His name's Seth, but he's not the murderer you know. See if you can make contact with him somehow.

{show ???log} "Nick": I've tried using the phones plenty of times, they only seem to dial to Ulira's game help hotline. "Nick": I've since memorized every step that needs to be taken in order to progress the order of events, so his assistance is obsolete. "Nick": Ah, Seth was sent to this realm? It's good to know that he made it to the right place. "Nick": And you say he's the less stab-happy offshoot that was created by the temporal intervention of The Stage? "Nick": Good. It means the plan is coming together properly. "Nick": As long as he completes his tasks, the plan will be able to commence properly.

He wasn't too happy when he learned the Stage interfered in his life, by the way.

Finish it. Awaken the Windfish. Send this place to oblivion. All. Of. It.

{show ???log} "Nick": When the puppet is given view of its own strings, it's natural for it to rebel in protest. "Nick": Seth was part of a grand scheme crafted by my master, in an attempt to get back at "the common enemy". "Nick": An ironic jab for his plans to be foiled by his own offspring. "Nick": For the most part, it was successful, or so it seems. As successful as it can possibly be under the circumstances. "Nick": As for what plan I am working on, it is best if secrets are kept until the time is right, in this case. "Nick": Too many prying eyes.

{show ???log} "Nick": Ah yes, the wind fish. The endgame construct of this realm. "Nick": Further within these eggshell walls is the maze of my own twisted mind, where the darkest of nightmares awaits. "Nick": ...I can feel it. the strings are being pulled on my own puppet-like form. "Nick": The sensation is more real than anything that can ever be felt in this realm. "Nick": Fingers hitting the keyboard in trained accuracy. "Nick": The blog must have gotten an ask of some sort. It's been happening more often lately. "Nick": Hmmm... a lizard overstepping its bounds? Collecting corpses? "Nick": A rather odd question, but it seems a harmless throwaway answer is being issued. "Nick": If given the chance, I can encode a secret message within the answer-- my own quiet style of rebellion.

If you can't win: Perhaps you should map warp near that fisherman?
