The Charcherry Weekly
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I think I may have tired my sibling out conducting all those interviews. I'm sure they'll be fine though.
Spaceport Mystery
According to various reports, there have been closures in the spaceport mall, following reports of a mysterious ailment. Now normally, I would ponder if Heir of Time Rise Emit had gotten that particular ailment, considering they reportedly caught a cold last week, but I'm pretty sure that had more to do with factors present elsewhere. As a result of these closures, at least one vendor who is usually located at the spaceport had set up shop at the desertia market last week.
My lighty senses tell me that a party should investigate the closed down section of the spaceport at some point, with proper precautions in place. This seems like something too big to just send a single reporter. As expected, further details regarding this story are ongoing.
Interview Double Feature
This week, investigative reporter Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth did two separate interviews for the remaining candidates, Samm and her husband Jovin. They have both been transcribed and formatted as dialoglogs for readability.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Basketball hoops and ball stand (this week)
-Radios stand (this week)
-Katie's potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-Brae's canned goods stand (Also selling live plants!)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (closed until a new shopkeeper can be found)
-Samm's teriyaki noodle stand (now with a free mind aspect pin!)
-Flareta’s Scrap Shop
-DVD stand
And that should cover it. Remember that the deadline to vote is monday! The results of the election will be posted publicly in the memo upon counting, as well as recorded in the next issue.
Best of luck to everyone running!

This week, investigative reporter Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth did two separate interviews for the remaining candidates, Samm and her husband Jovin. They have both been transcribed and formatted as dialoglogs for readability.
Aeons: This is Aeons Edgeworth, interviewing Samm in regards to the Unity Village election this month. How are you doing today?
Samm: Im doing well, I think
Samm: Theres less chaos within ourselves now
Aeons: ah, that's good to hear.
Aeons: So, you're currently running for two different roles in the election. I take it you're pretty interested in obtaining a position around here?
Samm: Well yes...I want to be able to help people. Mayor will ofc course let me do that, but I wouldnt mind Assistant Mayor either.
Aeons: That makes sense. What would you say is the platform you're running on?
Aeons: What sorta things would you like to achieve while in either office?
Samm: Id like to give voice to those interested in the development of Unity Village, while sticking close to the original concept and values we founded it for.
Samm: As mayor, Id have to make sure we survive as a village, while still making sure the people get what they want and need.
Samm: As an assistant Mayor...i'd help whoever won, and also make my own suggestions to consider
Aeons: I like the motivation you've got. Might be just what this village needs.
Aeons: What would you say is the number one issue that Unity Village is currently facing?
Samm: Currently...we have a lack of population. We need homes, and a way to bring in money and foot-traffic. Something to bring the people to us, and a place to stay, if they would want.
Samm: Right now we have the basic services, and a couple homes. But I can see us be the head for pokemon related events.
Samm: Maybe a pokemon festival or something. Which, we should be...because Unity was founded to spread...well...unity, with pokemon.
Aeons: That is very true. Looks like you have a pretty strong sense of priorities. Anything else you'd like to mention before we wrap this up?
Samm: ...I think Im going to take a walk around the town after this, and take a look at the spaces we have to work with. There's a lot of potential for our future roles to work with. That's probably all
Aeons: I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out. Thank you for allowing me to interview you today.
Samm: Thank you for coming

Samm: Thank you for coming
Aeons: This is Aeons Edgeworth, interviewing Jovin Castle for the Charcherry weekly, covering the Unity village election. How are you doing?
Jovin: I'm doing well enough, I suppose. I've been alot worst, and been alot better so... he shrugs. I'm doing, I guess. Been recovering from accidently myself with stuff that ya probabaly read bout already on your weekly news thing a bit back.
Aeons: oh yeah, you did go through a lot lately. Now, you're running for a lot of possible roles, correct?
Jovin: Yeah... not sure if I'm gonna be getting like, the big one but... do want to help out this place and such. It's been nice here
Aeons: fair enough.
Aeons: That being said, what would you say are your goals? What do you want to accomplish if you manage to get into some sort of office?
Jovin: I want to help expand this place, help it fulfil what the place was built to do and such.
Jovin: Help pokemon and people connect, teach people about pokemon and pokemon about people, and build a community here.
Jovin: there not alot of permanent people here which is alright, but also not alot here other then like being a place you go to between going to places, if that makes sense...?
Aeons: yeah, it is sorta mostly a stop on the way to new charcherry at the moment.
Jovin: Yeah, I wanna change that. nothng against new charcherry, but like you saw all the trainers and folks down there?
Jovin: imagine them helping out coleman with his stuff, or training together and learning from each other, or even having a gym here.
Aeons: totally makes sense. This place could certainly use some more consistent activity that makes it more than just a liminal space.
Aeons: I do wonder though, which role do you particularly want the most?
Aeons: Like, I figure you're sorta trying to make your bets safe, but there's gotta be something you want to get involved in more than the others, right?
Jovin: I would like to interact with mons around here more, tbh. They seem pretty chill and such.
Jovin: Like the Psyducks. pretty good feelas, just having fun and they even tried to participate in the election. Sadly stuff happened so...
Aeons: yeah. At least you pretty much have a good chance of getting something, with the axillary roles and all.
Jovin: Yeah was kinda surpised by that, tbh.
Jovin: I mean, to be honest
Aeons: well, when it came to setting up things, I wasn't exactly sure how to set up voting for your requested roles in a closed system.
Aeons: Having that bit seemed like the best method, while keeping the main roles relatively stable and predictable.
Jovin: Yeah, that makes sense.
Aeons: anything else you'd like to talk about before we wrap this up?
Jovin: Thank you for handling that by the way and wait thats it?
Aeons: well, I don't have that much to ask, considering its just election stuff.
Aeons: you're welcome though
Jovin: Huh... to be honest didn't listen to the other interviews cause didn't want to get an unfair advantage...
Jovin: And guess I should say that the other canidates are great as well- Brae has been a good friend, and Samm is well, my wife.
Aeons: understandable. The other candidates are pretty well motivated and qualified as well.
Jovin: Not surpised but... yeah can't think of really what else to say expect best of luck to them, and I will do my best if I somehow get elected
Aeons: best of luck to you. Thank you for showing up for the interview.
Jovin: Thanks for showing up as well, friend
