Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here! Somehow its the middle of April already???
413 Reasons to Celebrate
This week, the focus has largely been around a very important date that just so happened to fall upon this week, namely April 13th. Not only was it the 13th anniversary of the critically acclaimed internet sensation webcomic Homestuck (which basically taught most of us what not to do in a sburb session), but it was also Heir of Time Thoren and Lord of Rage Raine Emit's wedding anniversary. Most importantly, it was also the birthday of Heir of Breath June Egbert. If she had experienced all of the years that had passed, she would be 26 this year, but because of differences in time length, she is currently only 24 years old, at most.
Because of this convergence of special occasions, Rogue of Heart Charles set out to find presents for both the 4-year married couple and the famous birthday girl. For this reason, they took a trip to one of the many versions of earth to be found in this universe. It turned out to be a version of earth that is fated to be destroyed by The Reckoning in seven years from now, in the year 2029. Upon learning this, much of the group became concerned about the fate of humanity from that version of earth. Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth was particularly worried about this initially. Concrete plans have yet to be put into place regarding rescue operations, but will likely occur eventually.
On the day in question, Thoren Emit took off to spend time with their wife Raine, who had recently taken off to a mysterious region somewhere north of the Fyre Nation to go on a pokemon journey with two litwick and a chandelure. They reportedly spent the entire day together and decided to continue travelling together in that region, though Thoren claims a need to obtain a pokemon that can bond well with them as a trainer. It is unknown what adventures they will embark upon together, but I hope they have a good time together. As requested, they opened the gift that Charles got them, which turned out to be a large butterfly knife taken from a mugger who failed to mug Charles while they were on doomed earth.
Later in the night, June Egbert had her birthday party on autumnal. Galar Champion Brae Emit hosted the party, having made a build-a-taco setup for dinner, as well as cheesecake. I think its fair to say that Brae's cheesecake blows any average betty crocker cake mix cake right out of the water. As for what June received, she had reportedly gotten a magical guardian statue of a rabbidragon from the mysterious figure Gray, a set of homemade barrette ribbons from Bounty Hunter Samus Kitten, a few blue jackets and sweaters (plus a pocket hammer) from Page of Rage Jovin Castle, a pink hammer and a credits card loaded with 5 million credits from Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten, an assortment of cookies from Page of Mind Samm, a Garfield pez-styled pokeblock dispenser from Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth, the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch from Rogue of Heart Charles, and last but not least, a comfortable and waterproof breath heir cloak with hammerspace pockets, windsock hood, hemmed with clouds on the bottom. Reportedly she greatly enjoyed the gifts she received.
The guests went home with cheesecake and cookies, and most of them wound up missing a day upon returning home, as time had been stretched to a degree on that night.
This week's known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Hammer stand (this week)
-Festive tree ornaments (this week)
-Katie's potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-Brae's canned goods stand (Prism filling in while Brae is busy elsewhere)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand
-Samm's teriyaki noodle stand
I think that covers it for the week. While it was somewhat quiet, the big day more than made up for it. While I didn't show up to any of the festivities, on account of recovering from left beef panelwork the night before, and attempting to play the Genesis Project on my gamer laptop (it was more broken than the stories that Aeons told me about the sbargv2 session back in its hey-day!), it was still a good 4/13.
