The Charcherry Weekly
Hello! Mage of Light Nick Card here! It's been pretty busy in the past few days! Let's begin!
Yea Buiiiii
Rogue of Heart Charles has been attempting to repair their underwater base lately. Unfortunately attempts to do so have been halted by the presence of an entire pack of buizel who have apparently taken up residence in the ruined base. Charles apparently adopted them all, though only only officially caught six of them later this week. It is unknown how well the buizel will get along with Lil' B the dragon, as they apparently both eat fish most of the time, which may cause a degree of conflict.
It takes a Village
On Feburary 17th, 2022, Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth presided over the grand opening of Unity Village, a place meant to model what an ideal life living alongside pokemon can potentially look like. A rather sizable crowd of dungeon crashers showed up to the occasion, too many to type out here. I will mention that Warlock of Time Coleman was there with his recently caught shiny eevee, which is very adorable. The absol that bravely worked to protect the Cherry Pit appeared as well, allowing herself to be captured by Page of Mind Samm, apparently willing to be partners with her despite Samm's concerns about her recent reasons for seclusion in the past few months.
The village contains a pokemart, owned by rudycorp, a Bar n grill, which appears to also be ran by the same group of kangaroo mouse consorts that run gene's garden, a pokemon center, ran by Sylph of Life Eden and their recently adopted chansey, a library which has yet to find a proper librarian (but is very much stocked with books), a pokemon research facility that has yet to have much activity, a pokemon gym, which appears to have been claimed by Charles and his team of six buizel, an unoccupied town hall, due to be filled after an upcoming local election which has yet to be set on any particular date, and three houses. Aeon's cabin, Blaze's orange roof house, and Jovin and Samm's teal roof house. There is also a ranch open for anyone to send their pokemon to if their party exceeds the maximum of 6. So far this service has yet to be used, as the ranch has no staff, and no direct connection to any pc storage infrastructure that I can see so far. As of right now its mostly just a fenced off floodplain with a barn and a view of purity crater.
So far, this village is coming together, but it still has many days ahead, and much still needs to be done to make it more complete. Despite this, a number of travelers have arrived here already, many on their way towards New Charcherry town.
Having stayed here for one night, I can say this village is very picturesque and cozy, though the sheer drop where the river cuts through can be somewhat worrying. Fortunately, it appears that the construction union did a very good job making sure that proper hand-railings were placed alongside any bridges and decks that may be in a dangerous zone. From the looks of it, the varied terrain will likely make for a good place to find a great deal of different pokemon. Being within walking distance to not only a river, a field, a forest, a mountainous area, but also a lava pit will likely be a boon to anyone seeking to fill out a lot of data in their pokedex.
This week's known market stands in Desertia Town:
-dinosaur plush stand (this week)
-mousepad stand (this week)
-Katie's potion stand
-Brae's canned goods stand
I think that about does it for now. Aeons has been busy with a lot of cooking with berries and I've been thinking about getting back on the road with my pokemon journey in the pinto region. Apparently there's some sorta enlightened mouse consort somewhere out there, though I haven't gotten a chance to ask around about them yet. I wonder if Coleman's ever gonna make use of the research center, since he's pretty much the de-facto pokemon professor of the "region", whatever that means in this context. Until next time!
