The Charcherry Weekly
Hello peeps! Mage of Light Nick Card here! Its a new month, and there's sure to be something new around the corner!
Mystery Package
On the last day of the month, your dear newsletter writer received a package in the mail, containing what appeared to be poppyseeds. The origin has yet to be determined, and apparently they were inspected before being sent off to my mailbox. They seem kinda suspicious, but I figure there's no harm in just planting them in a flowerpot. Like what's it going to do? grow into a bomb flower? or perhaps a carnivorous plant? worst-case scenario, I wind up getting thrown in jail for accidentally getting involved in an opium scandal or something. But we'll see what happens, I guess.
Welcome to the Market
On monday, a group of off-world merchants arrived in Desertia Town, having apparently heard about the excellent service at Gene's garden from an acquaintance of their that had previously visited the local bar. They celebrated the birthday of a fellow merchant, by the name of Bepo. While there, a deal was hashed out with Desertian President Kateleen Kitten, to allow for shopping stands to be set up in the square.
On thursday, as expected, some stands were set up. Apparently, there is a plan for the group of outside merchants to rotate stock every week, though local vendors need not follow the same scheme that they have set up (likely mostly just to get customers interested in their wares). There are rumors that Mai of Hepi has plans that may have plans to work with this later, but the depth of his plans are currently unknown. My sibling Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth (who has recently returned home!) has stated interest in setting up a stand of their own, with a variety of berry products of various flavors and potencies.
As long as you have credits, either in card form or coin form, you should be able to buy things here.
This week's known stands:
-Chapter book stand (all week)
-Sticker roll stand (all week)
-Katie's potion stand
In other news, apparently Lil'B has learned how to polymorph, and managed to use a human form to successfully buy some shrinking potions for themself. Reportedly, they did this to be able to avoid causing damage to Charles's house.
Egg hatch!!
After a month of carrying this egg around, it finally hatched into a porygon! here is a picture of it!

For those who can't see the picture, instead of being pinkish blue, its instead more of a warm dark gray and slightly desaturated blue, with little green glow-y looking speckles on it, and some highlighted vertices in the front. Also, according to the ultradex, this one is part bug type. I've never seen a porygon quite like this one, but its my baby now and I plan on taking care of it.
Apparently porygon were originally designed to be able to go into space, but there are no known instances of a porygon being successfully used in an official space program, as far as I can tell. At least now I have someone that I can go into space with if I wanted to, probably. Looking up stuff for its upgraded version, porygon2, apparently it lacks proper propulsion capabilities for zero gravity movement. So while proygon could probably survive the vacuum of space, it probably wouldn't be able to do very much there.
Though considering porygon is just a baby, I should probably hold off on any extreme travel or additions until I get more information about the particular variant that I managed to get.
Renewed Return
This week, the time players that had previously gone on vacation, Rise Emit, Thoren Emit, and Aeons Edgeworth, have all returned from their vacation. Reportedly, Aeons had brought Colby Jack with them, as they refused to leave their side out of devotion. Thoren has stated that they are currently taking a break from using Thorenbot 2.5, until required to take action once more. I do hope they all had a good time away from here during January.
And the Award goes to...
The results of the 2021 Misao awards have come in and it appears that a game I worked on, None Pizza With Left Beef Chapter 2 part 1, has won the category for "Best in positive diversity"! It may be a while until the next part can be made, due to continued comic backlog, but it is certainly on the horizon. I'm glad that I was able to work with such a solid team for that one. This is surprisingly the second time one of my games have won a misao, the first time being the end-of-2019 best owl game, An Owl In The Night, which chronicled Thoren Emit's realization of their gender. I'm hoping that with my relentless casting of nonbinary individuals into my games, that they can be more widely known and understood.

That should do it for this week. Now to get some sleep!
