The Charcherry Weekly
Heya, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Haven't had very much picked up by my lighty senses this week. Maybe I should hang out with Mimi more often.
Korosian Desert Bug Hunting!
This week in my bug hunting escapades, me and Heir of Void Mimi So&so focused on Fort Aspara, the location of the very important Warp Zone on planet Korous. It was pretty hard trying to find all the bug Pokemon here, on account of the labyrinth-like catacombs surrounding the warp zone. At least I remembered to bring my egg so I could get some steps counted.
We managed to find a fairly decent amount of them, surprisingly enough. I'm not sure how, but we managed to locate a shuckle that had ended up in the holding cell, on top of the statue-like suspect that has been sitting dormant there for a while. Mimi offered to phase in there and grab the shuckle, which I had initially was wary about, but then did some research and realized that the shuckle might either be a hazard to the prisoner or a security issue, as shuckle can apparently corrode rocks if they try hard enough. Mimi entered, caught it with a net, and exited via void phasing.
Eventually, we ran into Bard of Time Gararl, who had become enamored with a Snom that was clearly out of its element. Your dear newsletter writer explained to them that Snom require a cold environment to do well, not to mention the fact that they apparently eat nothing but snow. The grand Desert of post-apocalyptic Korous is indeed the wrong sort of place for a Snom to call home, unless you have a temperature controlled area for them. It's understood that temporics, with their minimal thermoregulation, usually do not have walk in freezers, or anywhere large enough for a Snom to live comfortably with them.
After a while of negotiating, I managed to get Gararl to give up the Snom, so it could be sent somewhere cold enough for it. Of course, I let Gararl take a selfie with the squishy little thing first before they parted ways. I also mentioned that they can visit Snom any time they like on the summit of Mt Phoenix. They stated that they likely will not visit however, considering the temperature thing.
Eventually arriving upon the surface, equipped with sunglasses strong enough to potentially look at a solar eclipse, I searched the ground level of the fort, and soon found Knight of Time Janet. She had become companions with a shelmet, who she has decided to train with while at the watering hole. Seeing as the shelmet had a reasonably decent living space, I figured it would be safe to let Janet continue being it's trainer, and gave her a pokeball to catch it with to make it official. She mentioned something about someone that she thought was from our group, wearing a similar colored set of pajamas as Mimi, but in a style similar to the one once worn by their Maid of Time, Enrich. I'm not sure if there's any void maids in our group nowadays, but it might be a good idea to look out for someone like that.
After some searching, a group of larvesta were discovered up high on the fort wall walkway, sunbathing. They seemed really interested in me for some reason. It is assumed to have something to do with my affinity for the Light aspect but its hard to tell.
Checking around outside of the fort, it appears that the surrounding town of Aspara has grown a fair amount. Not only have the carapacians built the place up quite a bit, but also it appears some of the time-napped temporic refugees that had been freed from Alcove years back have also found their way here. From what I could tell though, none of the bug pokemon made it past the fort walls, or if they had, they weren't exactly out in the open.
Feeling that our work was basically done, me and Mimi went back to the warp zone to return to Charcherry with the bug pokemon we found at Fort Aspara. Oddly enough, one of the larvesta didn't want to leave when I released the rest of the bugs back into the wild. I don't exactly plan on catching it, but I'll probably like, let it lounge on the balcony at the house over here in desertia town or something.
Speaking of which, my sibling's blog got a notification that their ask sent to a pokemon blog got answered, and apparently the best way to keep electronics safe from a hyper pachirisu is to keep them up and away, and just sorta give the thing some space to run for a bit. There was also a mention of using a generator wheel? Not sure if that would be needed, but it sounds interesting. At least Pachirisu seems to be behaving in Aeons' absence. I hope Aeons is doing alright on their vacation right now.
I think that about covers things for now. Next week... which location would be highest priority? Leave a comment either here or the other place. Seeya next week!
