The Charcherry Weekly
Hello everyone, Aeons Edgeworth here. I think I've had enough adventure for one day. Been waiting for my pants to dry for a while now. At least I've got a good newsletter to write.
Taking Back the House
On monday, Heir of time Thoren Emit, their sister Brae Emit, and Rogue of Heart Charles flew to the summit of Mt. Phoenix to reclaim Thoren's house from the ghost pokemon that had taken up residence there. Charles used a fire deck with his duel disk, largely using a doduo/dodrio, while Thoren used Midnight the Murkrow, and Brae used Aqua the Azumaril, with Holo the Alolan Ninetales in reserve. Thoren and Charles handled the litwick on the first floor (Thoren capturing one of them at request of their wife), while Brae stepped in to go against the chandelure on the second floor. She caught the soaking wet haunted chandelier afterwards and gave it to Thoren. After that, Thoren scared the remaining litwick out of the house. After checking downstairs, they apparently found a delibird willing to assist Thoren with gift delivery this year. They decided not to catch the delibird out of respect, but left the option open if desired.
After this, Thoren spent time getting used to caring for the newly captured litwick and chandelure. Initially Thoren was afraid of the chandelure, but after feeding the new pokemon some malasadas and spending a few days together, they have reportedly become more used to each other, and there is no longer any risk of metaphysical drainage. With access to their workshop once more, Thoren has been able to proceed with their santa duties.
Listening to the Children
Since reclaiming their house, Heir of time Thoren Emit has been visiting charcherry square on a regular basis to hear what the children want for redistro. Unsurprisingly, they want pokemon. It has been decided that the children will not get pokemon, but rather that they will get pokemon toys and books instead.
Warlock of Time Coleman has been writing a series of short books on various pokemon for children to read. He has also been continuing with his video series, which has quickly gained a following since word has spread about it. Rogue of Heart Charles also plans to release a pared down version of the Ultradex for the general public. I've been calling it the Greatdex since it'll probably be somewhere between an average pokedex and an advanced ultradex in terms of capabilities, but I have no idea if that's how its gonna turn out. The plushies have not been sourced, but I figure Thoren will be able to figure those out.
Slowpoke Searching
For the past week or two, your back-up newsletter writer, Aeons Edgeworth, has been trying to reach the slowpoke that have been staying on refuge island. I've been doing this in order to tell them of the improvements I've made to Slowpoke island, largely planting lots of berries. However, it has been difficult with the high amount of precipitation on that island. Nearly every time I've tried to go there lately, I've had to retreat after getting soaking wet. Most recently, I even fell into a frozen pond and had to get rescued by my pokemon! I'm not sure what I'd do without Pachirisu and Colby. They're definitely getting the good snacks tonight, that's for sure. However, right before I left earlier today, a slowpoke finally showed up! I tried to relay my message, but it was hard to tell if the slowpoke even absorbed anything I told it. Knowing how to handle a forgetful messenger, I presented a bunch of berries in different flavors, and a spare sock. Hopefully that punctuates the message well enough.
A Well Equipped Hospital
Earlier tonight, Heir of Void Mimi So&So arrived at Arkham Hospital with an injured Cascoon. Nurse Meika did not know what to do, so she got Edwin to find a solution. He contacted the dungeon crashers. I sent the code for the pokemon healing machine, Crowchaser alchemized and delivered it (via forklift apparently!), and Jovin helped plug it in. Thankfully the healing machine worked perfectly and Mimi's Cascoon was healed fully!
With the healing machine installed at the hospital, the location can now officially treat pokemon in the same manner as a conventional pokemon center can.
That should do it for now. Thankfully this week wasn't too complicated to cover. I can tell a lot is on the horizon with Yule coming up though. I can only imagine how much bustle will be going down at Brae's house... Though I wonder what days I should show up on. Heck, I sill need to get some presents for a bunch of people! The holidays are coming too fast...
