The Charcherry Weekly
Hello! Aeons Edgeworth, Temporal Detective here! I've had quite the busy week with investigating things! Hopefully I have some stuff that's unclassified enough to report on!
A Little Rough Around The Edges
After the events last week, things were hard for everyone on desertia. It turns out that doomsday situations are hard to cope with, even after the crisis is averted! However, there was still a lot of questions that I felt needed to be answered, and there were leads that needed to be followed. I craved an explanation for the disaster we survived through. And so, as a way to chase the truth and shed the insecurity that had held me back before, I reinvented myself. To be fair, I never really meant for it to last very long, just long enough to find the answers I was looking for. But now it seems my investigating has taken on a more external purpose.
It turns out, Lightyears Edgeworth (no relation) had been called in to prosecute a case against those that had been determined to have sent the meteor. And in addition to that, apparently he isn't allowed to do any of the investigation work himself. So in absence of any sort of investigators on desertia otherwise, the duty fell upon me to gather evidence and interviews. I'm not sure if I can handle having to talk to so many people and schedule everything I need to, but at the same time, its a purpose to strive for, which I haven't felt like I've had for literal years. I finally feel relevant for once, if only because of how important the pursuit of the truth feels right now.
So lately, I've been mostly conducting interviews here and there.
A Week of Sleep
For the past week, Page of Rage Jovin has been asleep. I could tell he was asleep because he kept mumbling and snoring all the time. It was only today that he finally woke up. It is assumed that he was asleep for so long because he literally slammed into the meteor last week to save desertia from a direct hit. Apparently he usually contacts his family once every few days, so his independent dreamself, Jo, made it a thing to find out where Jovin was at. And let me tell you, Jo has pretty much no filter! At this point, its still up in the air what will happen next with Jovin, but I'm thinking I'll probably need to interview him soon, since he's awake now. As for the scheduled time, I'd have to work that out with him.
Here's the tea (don't drink it tho)
Earlier today, Heir of Time Rise Emit had an encounter with a ghost pokemon at the graveyard behind the charcherry inn. Reportedly, their torracat, Shadow, was not able to defeat it in battle, and Rise had to retreat with their pokemon. It turns out, the ghost pokemon in question was a sinistea, in a forme (I will never not use this spelling, its too iconic to ignore) that appears to be exclusive to the local area. Rise's sister, Brae Emit, showed up with her pokemon and some supplies, including an assortment of poffins and a potion spray. She treated Shadow's wounds and proceeded to convince the Sinistea to join her party with poffins and kindness, making for an easy capture. It makes me wonder if there's any pokemon in the charcherry area that are within Shadow's level range. Like, I get that they're supposed to evolve into a pokemon known for often being defeated in front of a live audience (context: Incineroar is considered to be the heel pokemon), but come on! The edgecat deserves to win for once!
Shadow is currently recovering at home now, and it appears Rise is doing their best to make sure they recover well from their combat injuries. As for the haunted festive teacup, only time will tell how it gets along with the rest of Brae's pokemon.
I think that about covers it for this week. I wonder if I can get anyone to help me cover the interviewing, because I feel pretty drained from showing up to so many of them. @ _@
