The Charcherry Weekly
Yo, Prince of Time Garnett Garren here. Another week without Nick here. I hope they're doing alright over there. We got news to cover over here tho.
Trouble in Terraria
Early this week, Enker.exe managed to get grounded from playing terraria after a stint of attention-seeking, notably pushing Warlock of Time Coleman into the lava (in-game). While Coleman reportedly didn't pay it much mind (I'm assuming he plays with the keep item rule on), others in the group found it incredibly rude. There were a few other social faux pas committed by Enker soon after, which cemented the sentencing. Even denizen Euphrosyne (who admins the server) enforced the banning! So Enker had to stay at home until the next scheduled pair of boss battles.
Aforementioned scheduled boss battles included the skeletron battle and the queen bee battle. Those wound up taking place on thursday. The skeletron battle was notably more difficult than the other one, with at least two attempts made against it before achieving victory. The queen bee wound up being summoned early by accident, because apparently it is ridiculously easy to accidentally the larva in the underground hive. Thankfully it only took one attempt to defeat the queen. For this set of boss battles, the party present was *CaFAI, Coleman, and Brae.
After the fighting was complete, Enker was once again given access to the server. Hopefully they learned their lesson while being grounded.
New NPC's as of the point where Enker rejoined:
We all Scream For Ice Cream
Yesterday, Rogue of Heart Charles was complaining about some kinda noise outside, which apparently continued for at least 6 hours until stopping. Hotel Refugee Yuri apparently found the source of the sound way out in the desert beyond desertia town. After that, I actually left the house for something that wasn't just watering the flowers for once to investigate. On the way there, I met up with another hotel refugee by the name of Jezo. Apparently they still kinda just live at the hospital now? I wonder if they like it there. Anyways, we walked together towards the location of the "orb speaker", which had a very long string tied to it for ease of discovery.
It took a while, but we eventually got to it and found out that it was the top of an old ice cream truck that was buried in the sand. At this point, I figured it would be a good time to try out that keyblade that Nick gave me after that minecraft thing. It's really cool looking too, its totally clockpunk themed and channels time aspect energy really well. Apparently its called the chronolatch.
Anyways, I used it to boost my time powers so I could reverse the truck's temporal state easier. I wound up going a bit too far and reversed it straight out of the ground! and then shortly after, it hurtled back downwards! Thankfully both me and Jezo had the sense to get out of the impact zone.
Oddly enough, when it landed, it was upright and unburied enough to safely explore the interior. There were some parts missing to it, and no driver to be found. We did however, find an ice cream/cone/hotdog specialty replicator in the back, and it still works!!
It had a Lot of flavors available. I'm assuming it has all the basic flavors, considering it is confirmed to have vanilla. It also has what appears to be a selection of specialty flavors, considering we managed to get bubblegum flavor and ...salt flavor? After some light research, apparently it was probably sea-salt icecream, known for appearing consistently in at least one kingdom hearts game. Considering I used a literal (albeit from minecraft) keyblade on the truck, I wonder if it was a coincidence. Who knows though. Brae also stopped by to check things out, which was nice. She's pretty cool.
One thing I do know for sure though, is that if the truck isn't moved soon, the desert sands will claim it again. And considering its not exactly in a condition where it can be driven, another method will probably need to be used to get it into town.
Been thinking about pokemon training again, though this time, maybe something different. I think I might ask Slim if he wants a trainer to hang out with or something. Having a parasocial relationship with slim shady (wait, wasn't that literally the plot of a song once), I can tell that it would be a very different affair than a usual trainer/pokemon relationship, on account of the pokemon being smart enough to run a hotel if given the right resources. Well see though I guess.
