HAZEL continues climbing over the guardrail, intending to Tackle the Junior Rocket once she's able.

Being completely unprepared for an ambush like this, the junior rocket is easily knocked down by the tackle, onto the bouncy bridge.
"AAGH!"
That's definitely going to hurt, and probably cause some pinch wounds at the joints between metal boards.
Meanwhile, the jostling of the bridge has moved the glass jar enough to make it lift off slightly! This causes it to land sideways, cracking the glass!
"Ditto!" The ditto calls out in the cracked glass jar!
Nick goes into action and dashes on over to grab the canned ditto, carefully. It takes them a moment to get a hand hold with the jar in a rolling position, but they manage to secure it.
"Got it!"
The youngster is still scared stiff.

Charles... approaches the Youngster, trying to be as non-threatening as possible, removing his shades in the process.
"Hey, it's going to be okay. Are you alright?"

Fortunately, Charles' calm approach is effective.
"I don't know what's going on here..."
Nick walks on over, with the ditto in the broken glass jar.
"is this your ditto? We're here to help."
"y-yeah."
"ditto!"
Nick attempts to open the jar. They can't quite get it open. Hands are too sweaty.

"th-they disappeared! Into a hoop portal! My partner Sundance can tell you the same thing!" the Junior rocket squirms.
They seem to be telling the truth, somehow.

Nick finally managed to open the jar. They carefully let the ditto out and it immediately goops over towards the youngster.
The youngster scoops up the ditto and holds it close, crying.
"Jelly, I'm so glad you're safe..."
"a hoop portal? wait, does that mean..."
Nick has a vague idea of what that might mean, but isn't quite sure.
"Can you let me go already?" the Junior rocket complains to HAZEL.

HAZEL gets off the Junior Rocket, and walks over to shove the Hyperbeam Gun into her bag.
"...So, Hoopa, huh?"

"HAZEL, I think the cops might need that as evidence, once they notice that beam came from the playground, and not the battlefield. Also... I guess we, just have to head back to Professor Kyle, to let him know the bad news?"
Charles has his shades, off his head, in his free hand, while trying to comfort the kid.

Nick ponders for a moment, and then their phone vibrates. They check and its a message from Enker, Charles's netnavi companion.
Nick puts away their phone at this point.
"Alright. I agree we should go back to Kyle's office. We're gonna need one of those figurines that the most recent batch was trained with anyways."
The youngster will probably need a while to calm down, but at least the comfort seems to be helping.
"what should we do about these kids though?"
The junior rocket slowly gets up, sore in a number of places.
"agh... why did I even take that job anyways..."

"I'll call in a Jenny, I guess."

The phone call seems to go as expected. It appears there's already someone being dispatched to the area. Its hard not to notice a hyper beam blasting from the top of a mountain like a flare gun, after all.
HAZEL is told to stay in the area until Officer Jenny arrives.
"wait, what's that about taking a job?" Nick asks.
"what's it to you?" the jr rocket snaps back.
"Hey, remember we're keeping things locked down here. We do have pokemon stronger than yours, after all."
"whatever."
Officer Jenny should be arriving relatively soon...
