Charles squints, attempting to use heart sight, to get an idea of any Dittos that might be stuck inside of trees, the cliffside...
Or deep underground.

Looking around, there's a handful of dittos in the area, but they appear to either be content or in the midst of rather low stakes battles. They all appear to have relatively young trainers nearby.
...wait. there's a distress call at the top!
It doesn't seem particularly serious, but perhaps that's the right potency range to be looking for.
Nick takes a big sip of their smoothie while jogging. They're admittedly a bit out of shape, but hopefully they'll be able to build up their stamina a bit.

HAZEL continues biking up the mountain with her strong leg muscles, leaning on the handlebars of the Mach Bike.

Charles takes a deep breath, before... continuing to float-walk up the mountain. Of course, they had been lagging behind, because of his focus on maintaining stamina, while maintaining cover. Sure, he could send out Swoobat to fly him to the top, but... that would be even more questionable, with their badges. Plus he doesn't know the radio codes for sending a flight plan in this region.

Upwards the party continues to climb. Nick is notibly starting to lag behind, though they try to at least maintain a power-walk pace. They take another sip of smoothie.
"HAZEL.... why u biking so fast..."
Meanwhile, up ahead on the path, there's a bunch of pineco blocking the way forward!
"Watch out!!" A rando calls from nearby.
The pineco don't seem to be willing to abscond, and any one of them could self-destruct if collided into.
What will you do?

After a brief argument on the memo out of concern, Charles sends out Swoobat, and clambers onto him. "Alright, we just need to pick up a friend, and then we will head to the top of the mountain, alright? Now, Swoobat, use Fly!"
Swoobat launches into the air, with Charles looking ahead on the walking path to locate Nick.

HAZEL skids to a stop and sends out TIMBER!

TIMBER's surf blasts the pineco horde battle!

The pineco are swept off the path in a wave of water! The way forwards is clear!
Meanwhile, a bit further behind...
Nick takes a moment to stop and take a breather. They finish off their smoothie and captchalogue the cup. Looking upwards, they see Charles and swoobat approaching!
Nick jumps up, putting a little bit of oomph behind it with cleverly disguised godtier flight. They remain light but keep a steady grip.
The top of the mountain can be seen from up above, just a few more circles upward for HAZEL below. A play structure with a relatively basic designated pokemon battle space nearby can be seen at the top.
The distress however, is not from the battle area, but from the play structure.

Swoobat spots the jungle gym. Specifically, the Monkey Bars. They fly down towards it, tensing one wing as they dive down.
"Swoobat, no, don't you da-"
He pulls his wing in, as he pulls up, doing a flip, and dropping his riders, such as a panicking Charles, on the ground.

Nick tries to soften the blow, holding onto Charles. Fortunately they're able to use their godtier flight to counteract any major fall damage, though they only fell about 8 feet at most.
"...you really weren't kidding when you were talking about swoobat's tendency to drop."
Nick lets go and slowly gets up. They realize at this point that they probably could have used their elytra or something.
"...ONE MORE STEP AND THE DITTO GETS IT!" Someone relatively young can be heard threatening from the bouncy looking bridge on the play structure.
"YOU'RE BEING MEAN, I'M GONNA TELL ON YOU!" someone slightly younger than that yells back from the other end of the bridge.
"THAT'S IT!! I'M GONNA USE MY HYPER BEAM GUN! I'M GONNA DO IT! YOUR DITTO WILL BE A FINE GELATINOUS PASTE!"
Nick looks over at the vaguely threatening youth. Sure enough, its a teenager wearing a white outfit with a red lowercase "r" painted on the front of it. They also have what looks like some sort of ridiculous toy ray-gun type device pointed at a terrified ditto trapped in a glass jar.
"YOU WOULDN'T DARE!!" The other one involved appears to be a youngster in those iconic comfy shorts.
At this point, HAZEL and LUKE should be arriving at the scene soon.

"Hey, Team Rocket wannabe! Put the gun down!" HAZEL says, jumping from her bike onto the guardrails on the bridge like the feral trainer she is.

"WHAT THE-" The junior rocket stumbles at the sight of the feral trainer. The gun drops from their hand and hits the bridge. It is activated and a great blast shoots out from it, pointed nearly straight up!
The youngster is scared shitless.
Fortunately the hyper beam blast doesn't hit anyone.
"LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE! THAT GUN ONLY HAD ONE CHARGE TO IT! HOW AM I GONNA REPLACE THAT?!"
"We got you surrounded, chump!" Nick calls out, hand on their belt.

Charles is stunned. His shades said it was just a regular toy gun, and then it fired an entire hyperbeam!
Swoobat slowly adjusts on the monkey bars, turning to face the direction of the Junior Rocket.
