Heya, Mage of Light Nick Card here! Looks like we're back in business this week!
A distant call
At the beginning of the week, a Page of Mind by the name of Samm got in contact with the memo. Apparently she had been mistaken for a dungeon crasher while exploring what turned out to be a voidco dungeon. She managed to provide the coordinates, which turned out to be somewhere near the Augataur version of Earth. Battleship 8 was directed to make its way towards the location.
Because of the sheer distance, this took a few days of travel while in warp speed.
In the meantime, Heir of Time Rise Emit returned to Autumnal to heal and train, even going back a few weeks for more time, having recently gotten out of the hospital. In doing so, they got back in contact with their sister Brae Emit, and her boyfriend, Warlock of Time Coleman. Brae decided to join Rise on the upcoming dungeon crawl, while Coleman stayed behind to tend to business.
Rogue of Heart Charles managed to get aboard the battleship early, apparently thanks to *Aperture, the on-board AI, making a pit stop just short enough to allow the transportalizer pad to connect.
On the day of the battleship's arrival at the dungeon, Charles managed to apparently botch the docking sequence so badly that the absolutely massive glass bottle (surrounding the ship that had become the dungeon) cracked very badly. Reportedly all breathable air had been released from the bottle, forcing some of the party to prepare for the unforeseen factors at hand.
The active party at the time was Mai of Hepi, Bounty hunter Samus Kitten, Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten, Rogue of Heart Charles, Magical Fae Brae Emit, and her sibling, Heir of Time Rise Emit. The dungeon in question was reportedly a life-sized ship in a bottle, designed for space travel, yet resembling an oceanbound pirate ship inside, surrounded by enough water to keep it afloat. It was found somewhere not too far from Earth, likely in orbit.
The party did a great deal of exploring aboard the ship, though Brae quickly decided to restore the air content using her magic. The party was quite relieved after that. They managed to discover a series of documents detailing an orb of considerable regard, possibly cursed in nature. They also found a great deal of superfluous cannons and cannonballs, which managed to injure Charles and Katie, as they tried to move some for use elsewhere. Mai however avoided having his feet crushed via cannonball by simply not having any feet. Before his cannon could be fired at a locked door however, Rise engaged in combat with a pair of skeletons.
With assistance from the rest of the party, the skeletons were defeated, but not before they combined into a "skeleton soccer ball" at the end.
Reportedly the skeleton soccer ball was easily punted off the ship into the water below. Rise had summoned a member of The Fallen to aid them in battle, but both of them were too out of practice in fighting to do much in terms of combat. Thankfully, the party found a green key in that room, which allowed them to open a green door, leading them further downstairs.
The party eventually reached the storage area, and encountered a pair of mimics. Brae was able to tame them by reportedly feeding them breakfast burritos. She later took the pair of mimics home as pets. Before that however, the party arrived at the boss room and encountered a zombie pirate, holding the cursed orb! The party fought against the zombie pirate, who apparently used dark magic to hurt the party, sometimes involving the use of barrels. The orb turned out to be cursed in the manner that it would drive those who touched it with obsession over it. Brae eventually glamoured the orb to appear as a snowglobe and managed to take the orb from the zombie pirate, while avoiding its ill effects! This caused the zombie pirate to fly into a desperate blind rage, which made things very difficult. Thankfully Charles continued to use his drill against the zombie pirate, using drill attacks over and over, until finally he managed to slay the zombie pirate once and for all. Reportedly, Charles also sustained the most injuries out of the entire group, even having gotten shot at by the skeletons prior. It's honestly a miracle that they're still standing.
The party eventually reached the core room and rescued Page of Mind Samm. The majority of the party absconded, but the Emit twins remained to place the explosive lemons around the core. Eventually they left and Rise launched a fireball that was large enough to detonate the ship from a safe distance.
The pirate ship exploded, leaving a great deal of debris to float there in space. It is very possible that there is a degree of valuable treasure that floats among the wreckage, though there has been minimal searches for such things so far.
A day later, Samm has reportedly woke up, but is still recovering. Her husband, Page of Rage Jovin, was initially concerned (to put it lightly), but later was relieved that she is okay.
Much of the party has returned to their respective homes at this point, and it is unknown what will happen next. Perhaps another dungeon will be found soon? Who knows?
It's nice seeing things moving forwards again. I kinda missed that in the weeks prior.
