The Charcherry Weekly
Heya, Mage of Light Nick here. Things happened this week, let's get to them.
To Be Contained
As a response to last week's doomed timeline incident, Rogue of Heart Charles took it upon himself to build three void-proof containment cells which utilize hyperdimensional architecture, with notably no use of aspect disabling as the previous chamber had. I'm not sure what to think about this.
Lost, and even more lost
Somewhat earlier, Heir of Time Thoren had gone missing after somehow obtaining a set of memories from a doomed offshoot. Nearly all methods of communication were reportedly deflected in one way or another. It wasn't until an expected doomed version of Thoren showed up that a solid possible location was found. Reportedly, Alpha Thoren had gone to the Eros Machina on Earth C to take a depression nap in their coffin.
Heir of Hope Hazel Careon sought them out and soon discovered that Jasprosesprite^2 had entered the rig by unknown means, possibly summoned by the amount of catnip found on the floor. Hazel had apparently had a long conversation with Jasprose, covering a variety of topics.
Soon after, Hazel reported that Thoren had been plugged in and disappeared. It is assumed that she entered a void window that Jasprose had spawned in the big rig. Considering the temporal differences between universes, preparation for rescue can likely take as long as needed.
Alpha Thoren has yet to wake from their slumber.
Enter: Ren
Some time this week, as expected, a version of Heir of Time Thoren Emit appeared in Gene's Garden, in a bloodstained suit. They then proceeded to stand in front of the window for over 24 hours, freaking out those who go past that bar sometimes. A few days later, they showed up on the memo, having claimed that they had apparently "shed their doomed status" thanks to the reported intervention of Heir of Breath June Egbert. They requested a new alias over the memo and after a few suggestions, they chose the name Ren.
Reportedly, they plan on joining their sibling Heir of Time Rise Emit and travelling salesperson Venus on their mission to search for voidco dungeons, though they have yet to depart.
I'm, conflicted about Ren. Like, they say they're going to be better than before, but they literally broke their timeline by running off to kill someone before their version of June could reach a known judgement! Alpha Thoren literally ran off in shame when they got Ren's memories somehow! (how did they get those memories anyways?)
While Ren may wish to forget their past, it may not be the best for others to forget.
Moar Minecrafting
This week, the minecraft server at the game room has been particularly active, even attracting all four primary players at once at one time! Rogue of Heart Charles has been developing a great deal of improvements to the base village, including a an upgrade to the mob spawner, a really tall lookout tower thing, a tree farm, a variety of esoteric tech, and other things.
Meanwhile Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten has been experiencing connection troubles with her vr pod, prompting the need for repairs. Reportedly, she had lost a great deal of assets while in the Nether. Meanwhile, bounty hunter/secretary Samus Aran and your dear newsletter writer Mage of Light Nick Card have been focusing largely upon tending to the myriads of crops, as well as Samus's produce-generating trees.
I sorta have no idea what to do next, considering that Charles seems to be covering nearly everything in the progression before I can even scratch the surface on anything, and it is assumed that we will eventually wind up going to the medium at some point anyways so it may not even be a good idea to be getting attached to too much, let alone building on survival mode with creepers exploding everywhere.
In related news, after a successful petition, a new set of mods have been added to the server very recently, which will need to be installed into the vr pods for proper compatibility. This includes gravestones and Building Gadgets, as well as faster leaf decay.
Some other things involving some metal in charle's bloodstream, as well as Enker and *CafAI discovering a path to the undernet also occurred this week, but it is getting far too late at night to research those things.
