The Charcherry Weekly
Nick Card Mage of Light here! Another quiet week, but this time in a good way!
Housewarming in Desertia Town!
At the very end of the previous reporting week, Desertia Town officially became available for residents to more into!
Your dear newsletter writer now has a home again! With a project room! While it is a bit of a difference in climate, considering that I don't have the air conditioning down to frigid temperatures in this house like back at the lab, it's one I've been able to get used to. It really feels nice to not have to worry about getting up in other people's spaces anymore, and just being able to cook things! Like sure, I could and have cooked things at the lab before, but this time its in my own kitchen, and I don't have the immediate option of cheating with replicator food.
In addition to the suburban village, there is also a hotel and a swimming pool out here. And let me tell you, it is incredible having pool access out here in the Desertian sun. Yes, I've been remembering to wear plenty of sunblock.
From what I've been able to tell, the others have managed to settle into their new homes just as well.
Mines to be Crafted!
A VR game room in the Region of Immersion and Entertainment has been discovered, and they got VR Minecraft!
Reportedly this facility was once known as “Voidco power generation experiment Zeta-17”, though what this was precisely beyond that is currently under investigation. Rogue of Heart Charles is slightly suspicious of this place, but the allure of minecraft is too strong to resist.
It is now reportedly ran by Heart Aspect Denizen Euphrosyne, apparently based upon the greek goddess of mirth by the same name. This denizen is still a mystery as of writing, and her motives are largely unknown as well.
I can only hope that all the voidco succing technology was disabled before she turned it into an arcade with tons of gel filled tubes.
The minecraft server that is hosted there appears to be extensively modded, though retains much of the standard gameplay beats of conventional survival mode minecraft. It also contains a very extensive cooking system which ironically made me hungry while trying to figure out what to make and eat.
Investigation is ongoing.
That's all for this week! remember to leave a comment below!
