The Charcherry Weekly
Heya, Mage of Light Nick Card here! It's the start of a new year, and it's time for another newsletter!
Breathtaking mystery location!
Heir of Breath June Egbert has reportedly found a suspicious location on a largely unknown alien planet, after having attempted to use her retconjump to return to her native timeframe (a couple days before) on Mt. Phoenix.
According to her, she had arrived in a city populated largely by ostrich-like residents, many of which were taller than her. Reportedly, she had deployed and activated a stargate in an abandoned subway station to return to starter planet, and has requested further investigation of the area just in case.
An expert at stargate operation may be required for this mission.
Into the Den of the Denizen
Prince of Time River Garren and Mage of Life Blaze finally took the trip to the past on tuesday to meet the denizen of the Land of Holes and Numbers, Morpheus. Reportedly, they had to endure a sliding block puzzle and severe loading times to reach the inner sanctum.
Upon meeting Morpheus, apparently it was largely a pleasant visit, with minimal out of the ordinary, aside from the occasional graphical hiccup.
However, apparently one of them had insulted the timespace heir that had programmed SBARGv2 too many times and had reportedly angered Chronos himself, causing him to drop rocks on them?! what the, is this legit? Like, I know they went back in time to when the gates still existed and Chronos was still only known as The Guardian to the v2 players, but come on!
Anyways, apparently denizen Morpheus was badly corrupted by the altercation, which apparently completed a timeloop, explaining why River had to mercy-kill their corrupted denizen in the first place.
Reportedly, River had also received a powerful epiphany during their visit, and has been struggling with how to square it with the fact that it leads them against their own moral fiber. They will likely need some major help in the coming weeks, though they refuse to leave Blaze's side while she is still in a semi-corrupted state.
New year's star!
On new year's eve, the green star atop the tree in Charcherry Square had begun to levitate higher and higher until the stroke of midnight. It had also begun to generate pink sparks in increasing frequency. Upon the dawn of the new year, the green star exploded, revealing what appeared to be a portal to Earth C! Heir of Breath June Egbert and Heir of Time Thoren Emit reportedly felt drawn towards it, but were able to retain enough self-control to not go through. Instead, they pledged to return to Earth C in order to continue their mission there.
I wonder however if they'll wait until after that suspicious subway station on that unknown planet is explored or not.
Later that night, your dear newsletter writer and a shadowy figure I swear I should be able to remember (I think she showed up to the sea-saw resort when we found a reconstructed composite skeleton in the lobby?) went to Gene's Garden to share some sparkling cider together, after spending a long while trying to get the bottles open. Thankfully her shadow tendrils managed to do the trick, and the replicated sparkling cider was actually pretty good!
Overall, I think it was a good start to the new year, and I look forwards to greater days ahead!
Grid Warrior
Rogue of Heart Charles has been apparently training for combat in The Grid, focusing on improving his skills at disc throwing and lightcycle riding. He has been seen spending long and short hours in the AU Machine, though in my opinion he should really take a break from that stuff for a little while to recover.
It is still unknown when the group is planning on taking the journey to The Grid to repair Best Dog Buddy's possible glitch clone corruption.
Desertia Town!!
Tonight while writing, an announcement was made by CafAI that construction on Desertia town has completed, and that the hotel part of the lab will soon be decommissioned in a week's time. You know what that means? I CAN FINALLY LIVE IN A SPACE WITH ENOUGH ROOM FOR A PROJECT ROOM AGAIN! I CAN FINALLY BRING MY FURNITURE OUT OF SYLLADEX STORAGE! I CAN FINALLY STOP HAVING TO WALK DOWN ONE OR TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS ALL THE TIME!!!
As soon as I get a chance, I'm going to see about moving in over there.
I wish you all a good 2021!
