High above Starter Planet, a beautiful moon of forest and ocean can be found. A dilapidated spire juts out from the canopy.
Far below, upon the ground floor, a large, cracked, concrete sphere lays dormant. This was --and still is-- the dream dome.
Niki, the mage of light, descends from the sky, in a graceful, controlled manner.
She lands lightly, foot first upon the ground.
She has business here.
Niki walks towards the dream dome, fueled by the matrimonial bliss of a passionate man who had found his love.
Love that isn't hers, of course.
It fills her with a a sense of longing, but she tries not to let that get in the way of the task at hand.
He's a friend of hers, and as a friend, he should be able to be happy.
For that reason, she's going to make sure to plan the best wedding she can possibly imagine for him and his sweetheart.
Niki walks through the crack in the sphere, and steps into the inner bubble membrane. It's quite frankly been a while since she's been back in her element, at least while awake.
It's comforting.
The mage of light steps foot into the dream, and from her, a new dreamscape begins to reveal itself.
Fresh green grass beneath a massive blue sky. Towering mounds of clouds float benignly upon the horizon, touching a distant, cerulean sea.
A warm breeze streams past, long hair blowing in the wind.
A fairly large tiled patio expands out, pillars towering upwards from the perimeter, holding aloft a lengthy sheet of silken cloth draped between them all.
Circular plastic tables appear in a hexagonal array, twice arm's length clearance between them. Bouquets of colorful flowers in glass vases appear atop every one.
A lengthy red carpet rolls out, separating the area into two equal parts. Metal fold-up chairs, each with a fitted seat cushion, emerge in rows where no table will give them home.
In the back of the area, between the circular tables and the decorative pillars, long rectangular tables fit for a buffet appear, adorned in shimmering tablecloths.
Niki pulls up a chair and sits down, tired from her work. She'll need to do subsequent passes on this location with the engaged couple present to give proper feedback.
She pulls a lever from the side of the chair and it becomes a recliner, tilting back at her command.
The quiet solitude of the dome is starting to get to her.
She spends at least an hour just staring up at the blue sky, alone, with only Thoren's fervent adoration towards Raine to accompany her.
Silent tears leak out as a sunset inches towards twilight.
