We kinda need The Furthest Ring though. If Omega destroys it, he'll destroy all of the past and future with it. The universe propagates through SGAMEs, and then they exist inside of the Genesis Frog, in the session. Sessions are in The Furthest Ring, therefore, destroying The Furthest Ring destroys every universe. Reality would be doomed as a whole if Omega succeeded at his plan, we'd be forced into an endless game of doomed timelines trying to prevent it.
