Gararl blinks a couple times. "you're... actually planning on posting there? Aren't you worried about getting wrapped up in their messes?"
Travis just grumbles.

The knight dashes into the throne room. She has a layer of chainmail visible underneath her standard Knight-class outfit. She also has on a metal helmet from some bygone era. She lifts the visor before speaking. "Prince Travis! The dark has lifted!" She points out the window.
Gararl wakes Travis from his short nap, only to get slapped by a tired Travis. "what did I tell you about bothering me while sleeping..." he sleepily mumbles, eyes half open.
Gararl rubs their cheek, still stinging from the pain. "This is important! the dark days are over!" the knight exclaims.
Travis rubs the eye-boogers out of his eyes and comes to his senses. Gararl wonders just how long Travis was napping. It wasn't that long, was it? Then again with time being an unmeasurable mess, who knows. "...it's gone?"
"uh, yeah?" Gararl kinda confirms... after everyone else already has.
"yes, it has vanished! We are free of its menace!" The knight exclaims. She looks over and notices Gretchen on a sofa nearby. "...when did you get here?"
"she's been here a while now." Gararl explains.
Meanwhile, an ominous grin has spread across Travis's face. What is he planning?

"You'll see..." Travis chuckles lowly, and then laughs, and then graduates to a full-on cackle as he begins shimmering with red time energy!
"...oh come on, not again." the knight complains against the inevitable.
It has been a little while. How long exactly is still unmeasurable due to time not being initiated yet. The points in between are hazy but it's quite well known that when something like this happens, it was probably Travis.
When it comes to inconvenient timeskips for the sake of brevity, it's always Travis.
The prince's crew has strategically split between the home team and the away team. The knight and the bard lead the castle-sitting duty while the prince and the thief lead their crew of redshirt pawns out in the field. The whereabouts of the witch are of her concern but any efforts to prevent Travis's plans up to now would be mysteriously foiled. Dreamed up gateways to eachother's operations are just a short hop away. Faint memories of daily lunch meetings back at the castle can be recalled. A fake-ass space shuttle can be remembered, able to go at unreal speeds with an on-board jacuzzi. Why there is a jacuzzi, who knows. It's not particularly important and it's just as fake as the rest of the shuttle anyways.
Just another moment in the Grand Dream.
Gararl tries to adjust their sunbathing chair in the courtyard. The knight is practicing her fencing skills not too far away. A boombox playing an annoying parody of some once-popular song is also nearby, to the knight's dismay.
"...there. got the angle." Gararl flops back onto the plastic sunbathing chair. Nothing quite like soaking up some rays on an otherwise boring day like this.
The knight keeps attempting to ignore Gararl and their terrible taste in music. "ugh, why did I get stuck here with you..."
The carapacians cover the sentry work at this hour.
Gararl puts on a pair of gaudy pink sunglasses with far too many plastic gemstones embedded in the frame. "come on Janet, it isn't THAT bad hanging out with me, riiiight?"
Janet, the knight of time, groans. "I'd rather be anywhere but here with you right now."

May 11, 2017
A group of people begin gathering under the dusk of night, preparing to storm the castle. It is to be a stealth mission... except not anymore because Ben's speaker system gave away their position. Thankfully though, the party was allowed entry and were given an audience with the prince. It appeared to be civil, but Travis had seen through their ruse easily and began attacking them! Thankfully however, the combined might of the party was able to break through his defenses, allowing for Isaac to perform his ultimate technique upon the prince.
Travis was left traumatized, battered, and overwhelmed, and his subjects didn't really like him much so they were fine with it.
Gararl was left with a stone that probably can call Isaac and word was mentioned about Travis's plans with the thief. Apparently it involved transportalizing to distant planets to steal their resources.
However, what will happen now that Travis has been knocked down from his throne?
Only Time will tell, it seems...

can't trust anyone... can't trust anyone... can't trust anyone... can't trust anyone... can't trust anyone... can't trust anyone... can't trust anyone... can't trust anyone...
For days, Travis lies in his bed, afraid to leave. Anyone could easily turn on him.
Gararl has tried leaving him meals and encouraging messages, but he refuses to accept them.
He knows that they're booby trapped and insincere.
Besides, he's a godtier. He technically doesn't need to eat, right?
The weakly time locked (to preserve it until contact is made) plate of grilled bugs and the glass of fruit nectar labeled "bone hurting juice" goes untouched.
Travis stares at the meal on the bedside table, mocking him.
He can't trust it.
No matter how much he wants to eat it, he feels like he just... can't let his guard down.
can't trust anyone...
Meanwhile, the rest of the royal band seems to be sticking together pretty well, despite their prince's unfortunate condition. Not to mention, the bonus of being in contact with the witch again. that's always nice. While Travis is no longer directing them, the thief still seems to have some sort of agenda to complete before the Grand Dream ends. Something involving transportalizer pads. Who knows exactly what. Meanwhile, Janet and Gararl have been trying to work on building something. with imported plants and materials, as well as dreamed up construction machines, they have been building a town to surround their castle. The carapacians, mostly relieved of their defensive duties, have taken up residence here. They have dubbed the town Aspara.
With plentiful water underground, and a variety of exotic (but still viable in a desert oasis) flora, it seems they're doing pretty well...
Gararl wonders if they should call that cool dude with that odd rock to show off their progress...

Seth appears in a red flash and grabs the webcam out of the air. He captchalogues it away and makes his way out of the basement of the castle. Despite the fact that it was night in Charcherry on Starter planet, it was straight-up afternoon in Aspara. He realizes this a little too late and gets blasted by the sun's rays upon exiting the building. Thankfully, the shade wasn't too far away. Seth dashes back inside to hide from the extreme brightness, screaming and cursing overdramatically. Minutes pass, eventually he tries to wear sunglasses to step out into the light once more. They're not very effective. He returns to the shade for a moment.
Realizing that it would take six hours for the sun to go down, he retreated to the rec room in the basement and crashed on the couch for a while, with an alarm set for the right amount of hours.
6 hours later...
Seth awakens from his nap and returns to the surface. Stepping outside with sunglasses on, the light of the sunset no longer has the eye-searing qualities it did in midday. With a spare transportalizer on hand, he looks to the sky. The moon, Dirtball, cannot be seen. Must be a new moon.
With a kick off the ground, Seth launches straight up into the air! Higher and higher he goes... the vast desert wasteland beyond the fort stretching as far as the eye can see. Higher and higher and higher.... until the darkness of space is reached. Not too far away, the ship sits, waiting.

February 4th, 2018
Seth arrives in the warp zone room. He's elated to finally visit Kat. Just one more jump and he should reach....
February 5th, 2018
.....her ship, the Virtuous Victorian. Seth finishes typing up a post and sends it, though he notices something is wrong...
An unknown figure in the shadows knocks him out soon after, not even giving him the time to react. He's picked up and taken to a different transportalizer pad than expected...
What the fuck is going on around here?

April 13, 2018
Somewhere among the sands, not too far from the thin growing path of greenery, a dilapidated building stands.
Looks can be deceiving however...
A lone figure has been flying back and forth between this building on a regular basis, the same times each day.
Today however, that figure has not left the building.
Peculiar...

Upon going closer, it appears the building is rather modestly sized. It appears to have likely been a boutique style store, with a rather large display window. The window has long since been broken and boarded up slightly, and the dust and sand of so many years has weathered the building's exterior. Surprisingly though, the meteor damage seems minimal, though perhaps there's been a fair share of repair work done in the interim. It's hard to tell.
The front doors, which appear to be much newer than the rest of the building, are closed, mostly only darkness to be seen beyond the boarded and sanded windows nearby.

The windows, despite being boarded up, have quite a few gaps between them. There probably isn't that much in the way of wood out here, after all. Looking closely, some details in the dark can be made out a bit. Inside, the flooring is cracked and covered in dirt and sand. There are what looks like circular clothing racks, both toppled and untoppled, with no clothing hung upon them. A swept path leads to the far end of the room, where a descending railing, likely a flight of stairs, can be seen. Oddly enough, there appears to be a faint light source at the end of that flight of stairs.
It seems very quiet around here...

With some light effort, the door opens.
Meanwhile, somewhere else....
A smartwatch on someone's wrist is beeping, the words "Intruder alert" on the screen. There doesn't seem to be any other notifications of this anywhere else...
A light warm breeze wisps past from outside. It's still quite dark and quiet, with not much else aside from from what was seen earlier. It's kind of a barely managed mess, though that slightly lit stairwell across the room is still a thing...

The stairs, in contrast to the rest of the storefront, are fairly well swept, only a minor amount of sand buildup in the corners. The stairs continue down quite a bit, longer than expected. There is a series of low power LED lights along the walls, all of which are lit and installed properly.
The further walked down, the cleaner the surfaces appear to be. Even the walls look nicer, a clean coat of paint upon them...

The stairs go down to a short hallway, with a door at the end left ajar. Beyond the door... there is an underground city. A fountain sits in the middle of the square. Lights on in all the windows. The streets are empty. At the base of the fountain, there is a sign on it.

Upon wandering, faint sounds can be heard from inside the buildings. Looking closer through a window, something can be seen. Inside, a group of people sit in front of a television. Possibly a family. Some of them are young, horns shorter than the elders. On tv is either an old show or a movie. It's a little hard to tell. On screen, what appears to be a cowboy on an odd horse-like creature can be seen, wide open fields as the backdrop. That family seems to be enjoying the program on tv together.
It's odd. It seems almost as if The Reckoning never happened down here... or did it?

It seems rather same-y around here.
In another house, there's a couple having dinner together. Well, it at least resembles a dinner-type meal. They appear to be in the middle of a mild conversation, though the words are hard to make out. One of them manages to glance out the window. Did they notice you?
