The darkness isn't too thick, but it does make it difficult to navigate without some sort of light.

Link Seth, with his geometric face scratches glowing ever so slightly red in the dark, pulls out his bag of magic powder. "This might help. Would you like to use some?"

Link Seth sprinkles a little bit of magic powder onto Medi's flower.

It instantly catches on fire.

"Oh shit! How do you put this out?"
Link Seth is kinda freaking out.

But, despite being immersed in fire, the flower does not burn. It's light radius is boosted quite a bit, out to about 3 feet all around.

Link Seth is frantically looking for something in his inventory to put out the fire, not aware of this vital detail.

Link Seth looks up back at Medi, blinking his blank eyes in confoundment.
He is speechless.

In the room behind them, a bell from the clock tower strikes four.
It reverberates throughout the entire castle quite loudly. Link Seth's scratches glow extra bright for a moment in time with the bell's chime, immediately restoring his focus.
"-Oh, Alright."
Link Seth follows Medi and her light into the darkness. of the hallway.

As they walk further, there doesn't seem to be much of note aside from the corny paintings along walls of the corridor and the black carpeting, which tries its best to absorb whatever light hits it, though can only do as much as a simple black carpet can do.

Each painting, when barely glanced at right out of vision, seems like it should be some sort of grandiose scene etched by a master painter, but upon examination, is more like a 5th grader-tier fingerpaint piece. The kind that would find its rightful home taped to the front of the fridge. With clear scotch tape. The kind that would likely ruin the painting but still fall off the fridge almost every night. And yet, would be placed back up again for arcane reasons that neither the artist nor the parent who received it can quite fathom.
It goes without saying that Chronos is in every single one of those paintings, each one more tempting to punch than the last. He is depicted during many of his "greatest achievements", most of them involving massive amounts of death and destruction.

Link Seth has been holding his temper surprisingly well during this walk, but he can't bottle it up forever.
His fists are shuddering, practically begging for an outlet. His nemesis is clearly mocking him here: anyone with working eyes could plainly see that.

Link Seth continues to bitterly walk forwards.
While listening to Medi sing, he thinks about how he was exiled from his own heart. By Chronos.
That bitch.

The dark hallway goes on, a painting of Chronos giving the mace to Raine can be seen at some point.

They keep going for a while until a point where the floor just suddenly ends. A bottomless pit of darkness is right in front of them. The ground they are standing on is thankfully stable. The other side where the hallway continues can barely be seen in the dark.

A painting of Chronos throwing Thoren's corpse at a corrupted stone slab can be seen on the wall nearby.

Link Seth pulls out the roc's feather and makes sure he's still wearing the Pegasus boots. They are still on, of course.
He looks over at Medi and then over at the large gap.
"I think we can make it over this."

"I've jumped further than this before. If you hold on, I'm sure both of us can make it across." Link Seth offers his hand once again.
"All we need is a running start."

Link Seth takes her by the hand. The magic flame surrounding the spider lily flares up upon their hands making contact, making much more of the area visible. Medi would clearly be able to feel something quite strong from Link Seth, though what exactly is ambiguous.

He leads them back a few feet and takes a moment to charge his boots.

"We charge on three." He looks at her.
"One..." He looks ahead.
"Two..." He pumps his legs back and forth, kicking up a slight amount of dust.
"THREE!" He grip her hand and begins dashing at high speeds towards the perilous gap in the hallway!

Upon reaching the edge, he lifts his feet off the ground and launches the two of them through the air, carried by the momentum of his great speed!
He holds onto Medi's hand tightly.

It seems as if time is slowing down as they hurtle through the air...



The other side creeps closer as they begin to descend back to the ground...




And suddenly, they reach the ground.
And they land.
Safely.
