The light over head appears to just be orbiting the dead meteor. A remnant left behind by the owner.
Following the only sound in this world, he presses onward to the boarded up hideout. Inside, the faint sound of sobbing could be heard.
The silence is disturbed by the sound of metal clashing against the meteor surface. The suit of armor pulled itself up from the floor and starts walking towards him. Silver armor with blue and yellow tattered cloth, all stained in blood where it was seemingly torn apart. The worn leather and broken chain mail underneath was barely holding together.
"Why would you regret it?"
A whisper asks, emanating from the suit as a hollow echo.

Raz stuffs his hands in his pockets as he meets what he aproximates as the armor's gaze, into it to see what's below the surface. And takes a step to match its own, closing the distance like that, hands in pockets and eyes steeled.
"Because won't get another chance now. What I didn't do and didn't say, that could have made something more than the bitterness I left. What I didn't do... that could have made sure she didn't die. So, the things I didn't do are what I regret more than anything, even the things I did.
It's a goddamn shame they only occur to me now that it doesn't make a difference."
His gaze lowers, hair shadowing his eyes. But still he walks forward.

The empty armor raises a hand and a sword appears in it, made out of light. It's hilt's wings spread out and nearly flap as the animate sword shines brightly. The armor swings the sword at him, but instead of a strike, there's the sound of a gunshot and the world turns white.
Where the armor was standing before was now a woman.
She was wearing a white dress with blue ties around her waist and neckline. Her head and shoulders draped in a black cloth that angled down into two seperate pieces from the hood like an heir's garments but split.
She had long brown hair that was draped over her shoulders and face, part of her bangs covering one eye.
The barefoot woman had her other eye closed but she was still staring at him with a serious look.
The halo behind her head resembled a broken circle and turned ever so slowly...
"What would you say now? If you had the chance?"

"What would I say...Heh."
A faint chuckle brings a fainter smile to his face, gaze still cast downward.
"Probably something really lame. Like... 'You ever play Sin and Punishment? It's this crazy rail shooter game where you take down armies of genetic freaks, bug monsters and army dudes. You gotta actually dodge everything thwy throw at you while dishing out, and your gun is also a sword, it's nuts. I'm bad at selling stuff but, it's got a two-player mode where you split movement and gunning between two people... We should play, it'd be fun!' Something dumb like that, so instead of being off, doing my own thing, acting like I was so above it all, I stopped to smell the roses and be there for her. Instead of just. Trying to push her into other people's arms... She probably didn't really need help with that, anyway."
He looks up now, that gray flame still in his eye as it widens at what he sees. He takes a deep breath through his nose, expression steadying in acceptance.
"What I should've done... I should have hung around. I should have tried to pull you in rather than push you away. I should have shown you something better. But that's just my own selfishness, you did fine without me. Great, probably... What I should have done, was stuck around, instead of leaving it all in your hands. Because being able to help should never have stopped being enough, and if I had, I might have been able to save you."

She looked back at the girl and blinked curiously. Was there a reason to want her name? Maybe it was normal...she didn't know. But she smiled some. "I will, if I get it."
And her eyes returned to the tower, her smile disappearing quickly as she became focused and in thought.
"I don't know anything but...maybe I...I might feel like I know something...about myself?" she said it quietly and slowly, deliberating every word. Another pause as she entered deep thought, perhaps not sure how to word what came to her. "I don't...think I'm afraid of hard work."
Samm forced herself through the strange barrier, patting down her clothes afterwards, almost as if she expected some sort of residue to be left behind. But then she stopped. Her breath nearly got taken away as she wearily looked around.
Yeah, this was familiar terrain.
A pained look showed itself as memories began to freely play themselves, granted with blurred faces. That didn't change the truth of it though. With a heavy, almost shaky sigh, she trudged forward in what can only be described as what felt the right way to go...only for the terrain to change suddenly into...pure white?
The change was more sudden that anything she's seen on her way up the tower, and that was saying something. But it sure did make finding things easier. Ahead of her was were..what looked like people...
Please don't be fake people.
At this point, she didn't bother walking, or jogging, or running. She floated over to them, though she did it with a push of wind so that it wasn't so slow.
When she got close enough, the familiarity of them struck her and made her draw a sharp inhale. Her mind went foggy again- a moment where all the information in her head was flying around as it rearranged and fixed itself to un-blurrify the faces she should know. The resulting unfocused-ness distracted her from her floating so that she fell onto the ground sitting. "....man."

The woman in white opens her eyes, white irises gaze at him as she begins to step forward. Her brow furrows and a tear runs down her face. The woman stands in front of him with an arm raised and ready to strike much like the knight from before… but she doesn’t hit him. She lowers her arm and quietly speaks in a more familiar voice.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t everything you thought I was.”
She rubs her face and embraces him, holding him close.
“I didn’t want to lose any one… and you were missed since you left us… they needed you just as much as I did. They deserved someone better than me who only caused them problems.”

The boy in green looks away, lifting one hand to rub the back of his head with a stark, awkward expression, other arm at his side, in the hug.
"C'mon... Don't be like that, this isn't your time to start putting yourself down, it's mine. Don't be lame and apologize for things you don't have to, don't make us a couple of dorks exchanging apologies and being as lame as can be..."
A faint smile. And he lowers his hand to hold behind hers, pulling her closer even as he continues to look away.
"Like anything I say is gonna make a difference. And here I am. Trying to keep it together... Hah."

The woman in white holds him close for a while before finally letting go. She rubs the tears from her eyes and recomposes herself.
"Forgive me... her memories are very strong... it takes so much will power to not do that to the others I've met. She wanted so dearly to help them before she died... and even in death she persists..."
The woman furrows her brow and looks at Raz again.
"She... waited for so long... for you to come home... for others to come home. Her struggles were very internal... dragging her down... always feeling alone... maybe for a short while, she felt loved by others. But the feeling never really lasted. She soon learned about her life and what it was. The Micha you knew was..."
She shakes her head and mournfully sighs.
"She was created by the man who eventually killed her. She was made from the essence of null in the shape of a human being, emulated to get in close with the meteor to track it's location. Light is a particularly strong beacon out in the void. It was a near perfect plan. All he needed was her to be there till he arrived... and when that day came he killed her. Erasing her from this world."
The woman in white looks to Raz.
"I am... so deeply sorry for your loss... some part of her, did manage to survive... her memories and will manifest as the person before you."
She motions to herself, tugging on the dress a little.
"She has made a fine soul for herself now... I do not know if she will eventually come to inhabit this body with her memories, but until that day, I am keeping it safe."
She pulls the cowl down from her head and glances beyond him, looking to the girl who came near.
"Are you alright dear? ...Samm is something the matter? Why are you inside Gospel...?"
She looks to Samm and then Raz, very carefully.

A few moments pass like that, his hand holding her close but head only just now turning forward. When she pulls back to gather herself he takes the chance to do much the same, making as if to stuff his hands in his pockets but thinking better of it halfway through the motion, compromising on sticking his thumbs in his pockets with a faint smile. Her words slowly cause it to fade.
Her memories...
As she explains he forces himself to meet her gaze head on despite the urge to avert his eyes. That was her lot in life, then...? A lie, a pawn in some larger ploy, to be discarded when her role was through?
What a crock.
And as the gears turned, as she turned them with her words, his thoughts turned from before to ahead. Then to the moment when a dejected word and shuffle behind him brought his attention to... to...
"...Samm."
A few seconds tick by, the gears grinding in overtime before he halts them. It's obvious what he needs to do now, isn't it? The why and how and questions and everything... none of that really matters as much. So for now he doesn't need to think this through. Taking the woman in white's hand gently he throws a faint smile over the shoulder before turning back to the girl on the ground, walking up to her with that woman in tow. He lets a second pass, silence hanging in the air, before leaning forward and extending a hand, offering her a warm smile.
"...Need some help, slugger?"

While she was there trying to sort things out, she listened very carefully to the conversation that she could gather- as it might give her some information. All she got was that the lady in white was micha...but not micha. As it came over her, samm had to swallow back a wave of guilt - magnified by the regaining of her memories so quickly. Her eyes may have gotten wet, but she thought she did very good in not breaking down again. That was never something she wanted to do in front of others.
When she was addressed by her two friends, it took a while to collect herself and her thoughts. She was just about to answer when the guy held out a hand for her. Blinking, she slowly reached out for it, giving some energy to start standing up. Once she was, she hung close as she grabbed for more words, plucking them from the stream of mixed memories and thoughts. "Gospel...? Is that what this place is called..."
More information to try and file away.
"I came here for my memories..." she continued quietly, sparing a glance up at the one that resembled her late friend, and who seemed to have her memories. "There was supposed to be someone important to me up here....I wasn't told there would be two."

The woman in white also offers her hand to Samm.
"Welcome back... I haven't seen you in a long time I'm sure..."
The woman in white leans on Raz a little as if for support she needed but most likely didn't.
"There is much for us to do."

"You've been climbing all this time, too... Man."
His hand tightens around hers in a reassuring squeeze as he looks back to the woman in white, then to the white expanse above.
"Guess I was keeping this thing together for someone's sake besides mine... I'm glad. And, I'm glad you're here." He looks his gaze to Samm, smiling.
"And you, too..." He trails off, smile still bright as he turns to the woman in white.
"I..."
He takes a deep breath to compose himself as the white expanse crumbles away, above to make room for rays of sun casting a cloudy sunset on the trio from the horizon. Below, the crunch of fresh ground, a mountaintop lit by that boundary between the sun and its hidden half. In one spot, light brighter than the rest, almost blinding against the background. As if they could walk right into that sunset.
"...I guess. I'd been holding onto the hope that this was something I could reverse... A mistake I could remedy, a death I could cheat, lost time I could make up for. But it's never that easy, huh. Now I'm mad... Mad I couldn't make the bastard responsible pay, mad I couldn't stop him in time, mad at myself for letting it get to this... Mad for letting some hope to bring her back almost wipe out the regret, mad for being disappointed that you aren't her. Even so..."
He looks to the woman in white, expression serious before he lets a faint smile break through.
"...I'm glad I met you. I'm just gonna have to deal with my mistakes... but I'm glad I got a better note to leave off on, at least. Thanks for that."
Turning to Samm his expression gains its serious edge back, purpose in his eyes.
"Samm. I, dunno... I'm glad you're here, I am. But this fight I'm marching off to's no joking matter... I, I'm caught between relief you're with me, and guilt for catching you up in this. Especially with your memories... But.
If there's anything you're still missing, I can at least do my best to fill in the gaps with what I know. You'll just hafta take my word for it in the worst case but... There're worse things, right? Hah... I'm a mess. And I'm not, really thinking about the things I'm saying anymore, so they're a mess, but. I'm here for you. Least I could do after all the times you've been there for me, especially right now..."
His serious expression turns ahead, the gray flame around his eye flaring up.
"...She's right though, probably. Maybe not a lot to do... But just, one, big thing."

The woman in white smiles a little at the change of scenery.
"Don't worry... You'll see her again some day..."
She keeps hold of their hands firmly in hers.
"Are you ready...?"

She remained quiet as the two were talking, gently applying a little extra squeeze on Robs hand when he first said he was glad she was there. A shadow of a smile shaped her lips through her tenseness and guilt. It gained some ground and she appeared calmer when all the white went away to a more natural setting. She hadn't even been aware that it was putting her at unease.
And then Rob got serious, and vaguely explained it. Ok, not really. It was very confusing for her and she had no idea what was going on outside of Micha being dead.
With his words, she leaned into him gently. "I like the look in your eyes.." she told him gently.
"But don't worry about me too much...I don't know what's going on...just tell me what I'll be needing to do....I figure...I wasn't here to help until now, so I should do what I can now to make up for that."
And then she kisses his cheek. "I can sort out everything afterwards."

The boy closes his eyes, her words and affection bringing a warm smile. Wrapping his arms around Samm he dips her suddenly in a more substantive kiss, opening his eyes halfway to meet her eyes and waggle his eyebrows before lifting away with a wink.
"You're the best, Samm. I mean it. I'll catch you up quick, for sure."
The flame at his eye surges as he tightens his grip on her hand now that they're both standing again, grasping the woman in white's hand with a smile thrown over the shoulder before turning his attention forward. Taking a step toward that sunset.
"Ready? More than I thought I ever could be. For what comes next..."
Another step, as he closes his eyes to take a deep breath. When he opens them it's with a terse smile, laced with determination as he... they, draw closer to the light.
"Let's face it. Together."
