You begin rolling the captchamari ball. if you read the manual correctly, you will need to roll over objects and people and whatever that are smaller than the captchamari is, which should captchalogue the target upon going under. The captchamari ball has a set amount of captchalogue cards to hold targets with, depending on the size level. when all cards are filled, the captchamari goes up a size level and gains more cards. This can theoretically be continued on indefinitely, but usually this mode of captchalogue is only available when there is a time limit of some sort and an agreeable need to use it, as mandated by the modus's arbitrating avatar. Fortunately he agreed with your need to use it this time, though the waternoose comparison was somewhat scathing. Personally, I think you probably earned it, considering you pretty much ran a dark timeline version of monster's inc, but whatever.
Currently your captchamari is the size of a yoga ball. it has like, 12 cards on it. you roll it into the closest lawnring and begin picking up various plants, flowers, and small decorations.
You easily reach the upgrade threshold.
The captchamari is now 5 feet tall in diameter, with 20 new cards. You run over some lawn decorations in the next lawnring over, and also start picking up some sod. Alternian lawnring grass isn't too different from most earth grasses, though perhaps a different color than expected sometimes.
Soon enough, somebody walks out of their hive to complain.
"HEY! THAT'S MY LAWN! YOU CANT JUST GO ROLLING IT UP WITH YOUR WEIRD ASS FETCH MODUS!"
You look over at the random complainer and try to eyeball their height in comparison to your captchamari.
you better upgrade one more time first.
You continue on to the next lawn ring and roll up enough things to get to the next level.
The captchamari is now 8 feet in diameter.
You turn around and rush towards that loud troll.
They look over at the ball with most of their lawn held in it.
You run them over and harmlessly captchalogue them, though not without protest.
Now here's where the real fun begins.
You continue captchaloging things and soon enough, the captchamari grows in size once more.
You are now captchaloging parked scuttlebuggies. You can hear screams in the distance. something to the tune of "THERES A MANIAC WITH A BOWLING BALL ON THE LOOSE!"
This certainly wouldn't be the first time you've been called a maniac, though perhaps the first under your current name.
It doesn't take long for the next upgrade.
You continue rolling the captchamari down the road, picking up anything that dare lay in your path.
At this point, the local police are aware of the threatening boulder picking up things with wild abandon. They try to sneak up from behind you to use a laser canon on you.
Fortunately, Zorua is on top of your headwear, keeping watch. They bark a few times, letting you know of the danger.
You enter phasing mode with the captchamari and turn around. you can't captchalogue anything while phased, but you very well can position yourself better.
You unphase and promptly captchalogue the patrol car and it's confused riders... and their laser cannon.
That's one less problem to deal with now... and one more problem to deal with later.)
After a while of strategic phase positioning and sneaking up on unsuspecting "victims", your captchamari manages to upgrade, this time large enough to start picking up chunks of the road itself. You roll in a snaking motion to maximize your pickups, going for every plant and tree in each lawnring, as well as the pavement.
You quite easily reach the next upgrade level.
Now here is where the real fun begins.
You begin rolling up hives.
Absolute pandemonium ensues.
You systematically run over hives with you massive captchamari as trolls scream and flee from you.
A lot more randos try attacking you and your captchamari. You run over those who try to get too close, while you direct Zorua to attack those who aren't quite in range. You've got an angry mob chasing after you, some of them riding on their lusii to try and catch you. You turn yourself and the captchamari to phasing mode and perform a tight circle to get behind the angry mob while they're confused. You manage to captchalogue them all in that wave. You resume rolling over hives, recovering the sections you missed while phasing.
Meteors are falling with greater frequency now.
The drone shuttles are approaching the partially captchalogued city, and begin preparing to fire.
The first time, the button isn't even pressed properly.
A laser canon is fired towards the captchamari!
the captchamari rumbles and flashes from the damage, ejecting a number of cards from the current layer! You go into phasing mode and look up at the source.
You've been spotted by unscrupulous forces.
This is going to make things harder.
What in the hell are you supposed to do against lasers from the air? You can't reach that high!
If only you had someone on your side that could counter such attacks... Zorua's attacks can only reach so far, after all.
All of a sudden, a meteor hurtles towards the captchamari!
You maneuver to captchalogue the meteor, unphasing at the last possible moment to run it over!
How thrilling!
You roll up the dropped cards and upgrade the captchamari once more.
You proceed to begin a dance of phasing and manouvering, not unlike trying to survive in a bullet hell.
The roll-up rate is somewhat lessened with the need for such maneuvers, but considering the size of your captchalogues at this point, its only a slight change in the rate, and your captchamari's capabilities continue to grow exponentially anyhow.
You're slightly surprised that the weight of the captchamari hasn't changed, allowing you to roll it at the same general rate, but then again its basically a game construct so it makes sense on some level.
You continue rolling up hives and buildings while dodging and weaving from laser blasts from above. You've figured out their attack patterns at this point and have managed to avoid too much important building damage, not that they'd care when they assume you're destroying the town already.
In truth, you're just packing it up and rolling it away.
Its been a few hours since this rampage has started. you phase for a moment to pull another energy drink out of your pocket and drink it. You don't know what's going to happen to you once this task is done, but you hope its enough. You pet your zorua perched on your head. They're getting tired. You can heal all you want, but it doesn't do much for power points. Even at full health they'll eventually be reduced to struggling.
You decide to take a short break while phased to contact the memo.
