Charles decides not to mention the multiple food and drink folders in their sylladex. That would be harder to explain than the Item Capsules, which... don't seem to exist here, given the Professor's reaction. Oops.

"well look, it's been a while and I don't exactly ask about things like that."
Nick takes a drink of their root beer soon after.
Professor Kyle pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Next time you deploy something as big as a mini fridge, can you at least ask beforehand?"
a pause.
"So uh, any idea where to find those junior rockets?"
Nick asks.
"I have no flipping idea. Those kids are like rattata in a barn."

Charles seems to briefly be listening to something unseen or unheard.
"Hmm... is there a map of the city, marking key points of interest? Lets see what sort of location these copycats would target..."

"I got one of those." Kyle gets up and pulls out a big rolled up map. He moves some things on his desk and tries to unroll the map, but the minifridge gets in the way.
He adjusts the map to be open at least to the section of the city that the trainer school can be found in though.
"please move your fridge."

weeks in the past, but not many...
Diamond finally boards the plane. They've been through this song and dance so many times that it barely registers. They find their seat and buckle up. After slogging through the tired safety speech, Diamond puts in their earbuds and pulls out a book. Its some novel about some teenager who got sent to the underworld early and has to battle their way back. They find it quite engaging, possibly even a little comforting.
The plane ride is rather uneventful. It touches down in Beigeblock without much in the way of fuss or delay. Diamond puts their book and earbuds away as they exit the plane in an orderly fashion.
After exiting and such, Diamond makes a phone call.
"I've arrived."
"Glad to hear. Get a hotel room, it might be a while."
"Figures. At least I've got everything I need."
Diamond checks a directory and calls up a local hotel. Fortunately, there's a room available with accommodations for fire types. That tends to be hard to find. They get booked and get a ride there.
Upon arriving, Diamond flops onto the bed. Something non-serious they can do while nobody's watching.
This will be their base of operations for a while, it seems...

Charles grabs a bottle of water out of the fridge, before putting it back into it's capsule.

Kyle resumes rolling out the city map (not to be confused with the town map on his wall). There are a great number of landmarks here in Crossroads.
There is a conspicuous spot on the map that barely has any buildings, labeled as Mt. Arbor. Nick notices it. Possibly based on Mt. Tabor?
"huh, what about this place?"
"oh that place? That's Mt. Arbor park. Its got a lot of incline and a decent amount of trainers. Seems like it would be as good of a lead as any."

Charles examines the map. While Mt. Arbor Park seemed like an obvious option, the whispered suggestion of another place comes to mind, before... deciding that would be too crazy, for this group.
"...They are just kids, so they wouldn't do anything too crazy, like contaminating the water supply. The mountain park is as good of a place as any, especially if Secret Power TMs circulate around here. Personally, I would be checking the local Arcade, but... I trust Nick's judgement on this."
There is a pause, before an idea comes to mind.
"Hmm, you wouldn't happen to have a Ditto from the same clutch as the others, right? It might be handy to get LUKE and my Lucario to take a look at them, if you do."

 There's a number of locations noted on the map, the yellow one being the pokemon school location. "I do actually have one on hand. Come on out, Squishie." Professor Kyle pulls out a pokeball and tosses it out! "Ditto!" Squishie appears on the desk and stares up at LUKE with a goofy looking grin. "heh... Reminds me of that dancing ditto back in Charcherry..." Nick admires Squishie, and then sighs. Its not constructive to think to much about a place they can never return to. |

Charles pulls a regular Pokéball from their belt, before pausing. "It's okay if I let him out in here, right?"

"Just please don't wreck my office." Professor Kyle has no idea what pokemon Charles plans on sending out, but considering the minifridge incident, it could be anything.
This might just be his only chance in tracking down the rest of the dittos, however.

Charles nods, before sending out their level 74 Lucario. "Lucario, could you remember the shape of this Ditto's aura? We are trying to help track down their siblings."
Lucario nods, before staring at Ditto intently. While the professor is likely focused on the two Lucario, Charles takes this moment to try to focus themselves on the Ditto, with Heart Sight.

Charles and the two lucario manage to pick up Squishie's aura signature. There's isn't any sign of any recent similar presence in the area, just fading residual from a few weeks ago and mostly just Squishie themself.
Kyle takes a swig of lemonade.
