Nick answers relatively thoroughly.
"It's pretty much just a day class with a test at the end. Usually there's a written test, but since there was a substitute that time, they offered a single 1 on 1 battle option that lets you pick your opponents pokemon as an alternative to written test. Not sure if that's an option this time around though. Either way though, it takes about a day."

HAZEL and LUKE head into the Trainer School. LUKE uses his Aura abilities to search for Professor Kyle's presence nearby, while HAZEL heads for the water fountain.

Charles enters the Trainer School, following the group. They have been attempting to multitask by reading a fan adventure on if the kernelsprite had been prototyped when given a high five, but unfortunately, that was just slowing everything around them down, instead. ...Maybe this place was missing time gears, or something. That would make some sort of sense, as time here trended to paralysis as its natural state, but what could even be done to fix it, if it was the case? Track down the rough equivalent of Temporal Tower? Perhaps take the Time Gears from a world that no longer needs them? That last one seemed absurd, but the thought stuck. Maybe something to consider later. |

Nick enters after HAZEL and Charles. They follow HAZEL to the drinking fountain and wait their turn to take a much needed sip.
Its a little quieter than usual today at the trainer's school. Must not be a class day or something.
Professor Kyle happens to be in his office for once, though he's stressing over some paperwork. There's a rather large map of West Pinto pinned on a nearby wall in his office, with a number of pins stuck to various locations.
The door to this office is just down the hallway.

HAZEL finishes drinking water, and is immediately dragged by LUKE towards Professor Kyle's office. She shrugs, letting the LUCARIO take her where he wants to go.

Charles blinks, before following LUKE and HAZEL. Lucario made for excellent guides, after all... especially when one was being untruthful to themselves. They pull out an item capsule from their backpack, figuring there should be a table or desk inside the room they were heading into, to deploy it upon.

Nick takes a drink from the drinking fountain and then dashes off to catch up with the others.
Soon enough they arrive at the door.
Nick knocks.
"Come in!"
Nick leads the party inside.
Kyle looks up from the pile of paperwork on his desk with a slight startle.
"what brings you all to my office?"

"We have a lead on the missing Ditto starters. It appears that some kids calling themselves the 'Junior Rockets' may have stolen them. They were seen sneaking around the trainer school in poorly made Team Rocket uniforms."

Charles deploys the capsule onto an open table, popping open in a comical smoke cloud, revealing a mini fridge full of drinks. Water, Root Beer, Lemonade, and HETAP Energy Drink. He pulls out a bottle of root-beer, before glancing back at the group. "Anyone thirsty?"

Professor Kyle blinks. He's quite honestly overwhelmed with both the potential lead and the SUDDEN MINIFRIDGE.
"..."
"uh, I think you broke him."
Kyle takes a deep breath.
"...I'll take a lemonade, I guess."

"...I take it they don't have Item Capsules, here. I suppose it was fairly recent invention."

Professor Kyle accepts the lemonade and takes a swig.
"...It's been a long week. I considered asking those kids about the ditto situation, but they didn't seem like they would be able to pull it off."
Nick goes ahead and grabs a root beer.
"dang, you didn't tell us you had a drink stash."
