The icy cold thread wraps itself around Chronos's neck and he immediately flinches, now slowly filling with anxiety. Is she... is she going to hang him? Is that how this ends?
That anxiety slowly shifts to dread as she explains how she practically led him to making his choice. When you have a desire so strong, and the tools to reach it, there is little that you will not do to reach it... within your ability. She fucking played him!
Those eyes... staring right at him... what is she going to do to him next...
A memory comes to mind...
...wait. This isn't even his memory. The ruins of the countless destroyed planets are intimately familiar, but through another pair of eyes, they take on a far more desperate meaning than how they did before... when he was practically mad with his incredible new found power.
Such a powerful desire... revenge... and for who's sake? someone she knew before? He doesn't even remember who it was. The death toll on his part was far too extensive to remember any specific faces. She did however remember, and she was willing to fight against a twice-tiered god to avenge her.
This determination... gone in an instant upon finally reaching her would-be nemesis.
That moment, seeing his own face through another person's eyes... it made another memory also resurface, from a past life. The one where Thoren had his heart removed from his chest.
But this time, it was not so quick. There were so many more organs to remove... so much blood and gore.... so much agonizing pain... and he could feel every moment of her disembowelment in excruciating detail...
...Why did she even last so long, even when so many of her bodily contents were removed?!?!? What the fuck was even keeping her alive?!
And knowing the depths of his own bloodlust, he knew that he wouldn't give up until she was nothing more than a silent mess. He wouldn't give up until she was no more.
And now... he would have to endure that same torture.
All throughout this whole ordeal, Chronos has been screaming, crying, gasping, doing absolutely anything he could to make this terrible vision cease.
...was this even a vision though? He almost wishes he was merely being hanged at this point. Anything would be better than this... Why is she still alive...
...Why is he still alive?

Overcome with anguish and suffering, Chronos could hardly even pay attention to anything. unfortunately, his actual injuries, and Fate's thread, prevented him from really doing anything significant from this, so he just sat there, paralyzed by her trauma. Her voice brought him back to the present.
Her peering eyes... so close and wide, could see a childish man brought to the brink, but even still, stubbornly unable to connect the dots in an empathetic manner. Still only thinking of himself.
Suddenly gripped, he panics slightly, but all he can do is shriek briefly.
He listens to her wish. who could possibly grant such a wish?
Who could ensure such a fatally gutted girl a chance at a happy ending?
Chronos shivers from her icy digits.
Her release was a surprise, another shudder. Is, is that really how her wish granter worked? Giving her wish to another of her template? Something here isn't adding up.
Like, how did she even know that's how her wish panned out? Like, what if her happy ending... was literally giving her a chance to beat him to hell and back?
That would at least make Chronos happy... probably.
Upon her last question, he attempted to answer. His voice was no longer loud and boisterous. Instead, it was merely raspy and stammered, as if it took great lengths to summon it from behind a wall made of broken glass.
"...it's being fulfilled... nΘw? tell yΘur αudience... αre you... αre yΘu happy with... with whΔt yΘu've shΘwn me? dΘ yΘu... alsΘ find jΘy frΘm..." He coughs hoarsely before he can finish his sentence.
...Maybe Chronos isn't so lacking in empathy after all? In some twistedly fucked up way?

So it seems he was wrong, and she knows his entire track record against all of her.
Like, he doesn't even have to personally remember what he did because honestly, he'd probably try that shit with anyone else that got close enough to him.
This bitch is merely one of the few that has gone to the trouble to pull the receipts.
But, seeing the depth of the destruction he caused, it caused him no shame. Instead, it gave him a messed up sense of pride.
And he laughed.
"hΔhαhahαhΔhα...."

The panic sets in as quick as her falling choke-grab, a dry gasp from an unfinished laugh punctuating the grip around his neck. Chronos shudders as she gets completely up in his space, and his face.
If she plans on eating his soul, he'd probably let her if it was a quick enough death. Wait, what the fuck is he thinking? He can't just lay down and die! Especially if there's a chance her weirdo magic shell thing might destroy him completely! He just has to tell himself that it's only a possibility. Only a possibility...
...another question. Her plans.
She wants to know what he thinks her plans are. She could and likely will change her actual plans after he gives his guess. Chronos decides to play it safe.
"I... dΘn't... knΘw!" his voice is under additional strain from his opponent being directly on top of him. It's hard to breathe as it is.

...that was her plan? to remove them both from all timelines forever?! She was willing to swan dive into Absolute Oblivion just so she could take him down with her?
Chronos would be impressed, if he wasn't so terrified at the mere thought of such a fate. He can't even speak he's so afraid.
All he can do is cowardly try to close his eyes and whine, all while still jittering slightly. He's far too shaken to even recognize that she was talking about her plan in past tense.

Chronos just sorta lays there underneath that hollow girl, as she ponders her decisions. He doesn't have much to say in this state, though there is a slight sense of relief since she backed off a little. Not to say the burns, aches, pains, trauma, sheer existential terror, and other assorted effects of torture weren't still there, but even just having one of his anxieties quelled was something.
Something to distract from the possibility of his greatest fear ever being brought to full conclusion...

In this lull, Chronos found the strength to speak up. "...yΘur test... it mΔde me realize sΘmething..." a cough between words.
"thΔt humanity, that which yΘu searched fΘr, within me... it wΔs never mine." A pause from the floorbound temporic.
"Δny time it seemed... Δny time a weΔk feeling came tΘ me..."
He opens his eyes, gazing up at the abyss.
"...it was merely, an αrtifact... frΘm the memory Θf a fΘΘlish boy's heαrt."
A long pause. The stifled rise and fall to the motions of inhale and exhale.
"feelings... they're tΘΘ pΔinful in full cΘlΘr..."

Chronos sat there quietly, still being sat on by his captor. He's not dead yet, it seems. But was he ever alive to begin with? Why does everything still hurt though?
Is he really "just a virus"? If so, how did he gain enough to pass as a person? Most viruses don't have souls... probably. But does it really matter?
It seems at this point, she's never going to let him go. No way in hell she would let him heal enough to grow strong enough to fight and kill her. Then again, that's probably impossible too, considering her condition. She's practically the Iblis Trigger. ...no wonder she considered removing herself from all timelines.
This is a conundrum. It seems either she activates fucking Ragnarok, or she, himself, and likely anyone directly tied to them disappear forever.
Chronos doesn't want either of those. As much as he values himself over everything, he doesn't want her to destroy it all. What fun is life without meaning? without purpose? without something to claim as your own?
"...if deΔth isn't an Θption... yΘu cΘuld, seΔl yΘurself until the end Θf time... Or perhΔps just leΔp there..."
"Think Θf the pΘwer yΘu hΘld... yΘu cΘuld dΘ ▲nything... whΘ knows... perhΔps sΘmething cΔn be creαted... Δfter there is nΘthing tΘ be destrΘyed..."

Chronos is gripped once again by his captor... but she doesn't even finish the job. While it was yet another shock, once she quieted down, he had something to say to the conflicted doomsday maiden.
"...whΘever grΔnted yΘur wish... they did this shit tΘ yΘu... I mΔy hΔve remΘved yΘur physicΔl insides, but I didn't remΘve yΘur metΔphysicΔl insides. YΘu were Δt the brink, Δnd thΔt bitch... they Θffered yΘu hΘpe. hΘpe yΘu didn't hΔve. HΘpe thΔt yΘu crΔved. I mΔy be Δ bΔstΔrd, but Δt leΔst I knΘw ΔnΘther when I see Θne. They pulled the Θldest fucking trick in the bΘΘk... Θne ΔnyΘne with the desire tΘ live wΘuld fΔll fΘr..."
Maybe he can get her to redirect her anger, though it seems unlikely.
Her hands are on his neck. His soft, slightly more fragile than average neck. No wonder temporics usually cover their necks. Just the thought of how little pressure it would take to break it... Chronos isn't sure if he wants her to go through with it, or to abandon that line of attack, but the indecision is nerve-wracking.
"hΘwever... dΘ nΘt fΘrget... the pΘwer yΘu hΘld... thΘugh Δn end ΔwΔits, dΘ nΘt let it ΘvershαdΘw the present... Everything... must Θne dΔy cΘme tΘ Δn end... "
The weight of her plight, and the knowledge that she fears death (and double death, even more so, for that matter) just as much as he does... ...it gives him something he can actually relate to for once.
"but befθre then... yθu hΔve, Δ legαcy tθ build... Δnd remember... yθu Δre nθt Δlθne... the θther kΔts... they cΔn cΔrry θn in yθur steΔd... yθu will nθt be fθrgθtten sθ eΔsily..."
There's a certain quiet shakiness to his tone, as if he's almost more trying to reassure himself than anyone else.

Chronos goes flying like a ragdoll, before slamming to the ground. There's a good chance that move knocked him out.

Yep, Chronos is knocked out. Even if he were awake tho, he wouldn't be able to do much, due to all the debilitating injuries and all. That being said, he stays put.
