Jovin would be feeling mostly better after the distracting distraction, but his is still worried, a bit melancholy throughout the day, trying to help out around the house, spending a bit of time with the kids before going to sleep, and while he has a better rest, it's not without bumps in the night.
Jo would be worried as hell about Samm, as soon as he wakes up going to her side, having slept near her. He would nod and tell the kids to keep Jovin occupied, but he himself would remain near her, if she wanted.

She would accept his company, just wanting to be in his arms, even as her deep depression/tiredness continued.

Jo would stay with her, trying to cheer her up with small talk, hugs, and being slightly more serious then normal, but still himself.

this would prove somewhat inefectual, because she's in the mode of just dumping on herself. Then between talking with jovin, and chatting with Adelheide? from AA's universe, she is brought out of it just enough to reach out to thoren for more magic lessons and discussion to combat the bad mental/emotional state.
For this chat, the whole family listened in, Brennan liking the idea of Samm learning fire magic in memory of the phoenix, and thinking it may be good for her. He also suggests some of the heat resistant testing labs as a place to practice.

Jo and Jovin would both be glad that her mood had lighten enough for her to learn magic, jo listening in curiously, Jovin half listening, half thinking to himself. Thomas agreed with Brennan, even as he wondered what else it could do, and Molly would be interested in learning, once her mother had learned a bit of it.
Jo would go to bed soon after, Jovin staying up for a bit, just... thinking about life.

Samm bid good night to thoren after their talk, which also went into her feelings and frustrations with herself. For a while afterwards, she stayed up some to talk with the kids and answer any questions, while trying to be aware of noise levels as the two husbands slept.
Before Jovin went to bed, she came up and hugged him some, questioning what he was thinking about and generally making sure he wouldnt succumb.

Thomas would ask if she would be willing to let him watch her try magic on occasion, and offers to be there to trade ideas, curious as always, wanting to know the limits, and what elements could be used.
Molly would be more then happy to learn magic, as long as there was no chance of exploding or or becoming overbearly nice or other nasty things, And asking what she was planning to do with it other then fire magic.
Jovin would look up, surpised, having not really noticed time passing. He would be a bit tight lipped, but does say he was thinking about the past, and things that he would like to do in the future... or do soon, but doesn't say what, sighing slightly, leaning into the hug.

Samm's very willing to let Thomas watch her sometimes, and be open with discussions. Samm was thinking of doing a little more work with lightening, since it is the closest to pure energy and may help her with some unpredictability associated with magic. She also is wondering about water, wind, and ice...but wonders if maybe she'd be over extending herself or if she'd even be able to do all that.
She snuggled in close with Jovin, ntoicing how much he wasnt talkng in detail. "Jovin...I wanna help.."

Thomas would be a bit curious about Earth, Wind, and Steel as possible elements, to boost his swordsmanship, Molly happy with any of them really.
Jovin sighs, leaning against her. "I know... Just been thinking bout the past... Maybe righting it down? And a bucket list... And writing a will... Not giving up but... in case the worst happens to me... But not all bad things. Also about what we've done together,and such."

Samm quietly tells her kids that they should wait until she understand magic better, and also, she'snot sure if steel is an element.
She listens quietly, it worries her cause it sounds like him prepaing to die and stuff, but she agrees that he could do that.

They both understand that, but they are excited.
Jovin sighs, hugging back gently, telling her that he's not giving up, as long as he has breath but... better to need it and have it, then not have it and need it....Even if it is... if that happens.

She smiles a bit, understanding their excitement. She promises to teach them as soon as she gets comfortable with it, and they might have family magic discussion nights. Would they like that?
She nods as she talks to Jovin, and rolls out of bed to fetch a tablet like device. "...alright."

The kids would like that, and would also be happy to know how she was progressing in the meantime.

"You want to write it all dwn right?" she says quietly, pulling out a stylus/digital pan.

They would head off to bed, saying goodnight back and goodnight hugs.
Jovin stares for a second before chuckling, smiling slightly. "Heh... yeah true. Just... a lot of stuff to write..." he says softly, taking the tablet and stylist.
